Devin Bush is the BEST back Dburg has seen all year. He is one of those special backs that you can't get a good hit on. He was exciting to watch. Liberty has a great team and coach. What a high school football game! I'm glad I was there to see it. Go Trojans!

I agree with the statement that the defense should get credit when they force a turnover. What I don't agree with though are people who insist that even though they won, that the score should have been worse than what it was. When in reality they should just be happy with the win. But you want to make it sound like Dyersburg wasn't even in the game. Hats off to Crockett's Defense because it sure wasn't their offense that won the game. Dyersburg threw a pick going into the endzone and also fumbled on Crockett's 20 going in. Plus Dyersburg threw a pick six. I'm not a fortune teller so I can't say Dyersburg would of scored on any of those possessions, because Crockett does have a good Defense, but don't make it sound like it was a one sided game. Because it wasn't. And last time I checked Westview was 5-0. So you haven't wrapped up that region championship yet. You better be humble and thankful because Region Championships are hard to come by. Good luck!

You said Crockett had key errors and I listed Dburgs key errors. I feel the team that makes the fewest mistakes wins and last night that was Crockett.

You want to talk about key errors, what about the 4 turnovers dburg had. one was a pick six. I'm not saying dburg is better, I'm saying Crockett had all they wanted last night. Crockett scored 3 tds on busted plays from the dburg defense. By the end of the game JJ was yelling at his own players about not blocking for him. Dburg defense was pounding his head. He was able to bounce the ball outside when there was no where to go up the middle. i give him credit for being athletic enough to do that. And I do agree that Crockett is the better team at this point but i don't know if they will be come week 11. Dburg offense and defense line gave crockett all they wanted last night and they are all first year starters. They are going to continue to get better every game. And oh by the way, the best full back tail back combination in west tn plays for Trezvant.

I think liberty beats north side. But its a shame to be 9-1 and a 4 or 5 seed. If i'm correct, if Northside wins out then Liberty would have to be 7-3.

my personal opinion is that district 13 shouldnt have a single team in the playoffs...much less 2...not when 2 teams who could respectfully finish 3rd in their own districts beat the best team in that district. Who would be the 2 teams that beat the best team in District 13? I assume your talking about Haywood. But the last time I checked Dyersburg was 8-1.

With a prediction of 42-14, just think if they had 4 days of practice. It might be 56-6.

I just found it odd that a player who would start a varsity game would also play in the JV game. I understand if it is a player who dresses for varsity games but doesn't play unless the game is a blowout. But to play a player in a JV game who you know is starting in the varsity game, while you have other players that never get off the bench in the JV game doesn't make much sense to me. If the player hit two homeruns in JV and went 3 for3 in varsity, I believe I would play him all the time. That was all I was saying.

So a kid hit two homeruns in the J.V. game and went 3 for 3 in the varsity game. I thought J.V. games were for kids that don't play varsity. Does DC have kids setting on the bench during the JV game, while a varsity player plays JV? I thought the purpose of JV games were to get playing time and at bats for kids not playing in varsity games.

Maybe the committee that picks the Miss Basketball should come to the game tonight at Northside. Delk and Roney will go head to head tonight. May the best team win.

tnknights I was hoping you would be able to answer me about which school the kids can play at. I wouldn't think Coach Swanson would want to lose any of his players. How will the kids be divided up? I would think that would be something a prospective coach might want to know.

I saw the map. Does that mean football players who played for Hickman Co. last year will have to go to the new school if they live in that district or can they choose to stay at Hickman Co. ?

WesCharge I don't read Coach T much. But It seems like everytime I do you are bashing Obion. What happend? Did Obion Kick your tail the whole time you were high school? Did you get a speeding ticket once in your life coming through Troy? Maybe you went to school at Obion, but you were not good enough to make any of the athletic teams. Most people from Westview seem to be really fine people, what happened to you? Just Curious.

What kind of athletes are at Adamsville? How do they compare to other teams in their region?

mg you are right winning this region is impressive, and Dyersburg has done that , but they may not go undefeated. Don't count your chickens before the eggs hatch!

9yr.oldchamp why do you want to mention Obion Co. Covington has lost 2 games this year. The first one was to Germantown who could beat Milan without much of a problem. The second one was to Obion Co. who has a pretty good team. Who Has Milan beat? Henry Co who is not a very good 5A team, JCM who is an average 4A team this year, and Hunington who was without their best back. Milan does have a good team there is no doubt about that. But Covington will be the best they have faced so far. They better bring their A game or they will have a long bus ride home.

Both teams are 0-2 after playing extremely good teams. I think it will be a great game, going to the team that makes the least amount of turnovers and mistakes. Both of these teams are hungry for there first win. It should be a good one to watch.
