TO ANSWER THE QUESTION ABOUT SWEARINGEN YES HE HAS BEEN HURT AS YOU COULD TELL AT ROCKWOOD (LEFT AFTER 1ST)WITH PULLED MUSCLES IN BACK HE HAS THROWN WELL HIS LAST THREE OUTINGS 2 HIT UNICOI, SAVE AGAINST SULLIVAN SOUTH AND A 3-1 LOSS TO GREENEVILLE. I can't believe I am actually dignifying this topic with a response but here goes. I read this board during lunch and this site made me sick, it sounds to me like a bunch who can't come to grip that the talent pool is not as good as it has been in the past it happens to everyone. It just hurts more when you are used to winning. To attack these coaches is absurd most of these guys I have known on a personal as well as professional level for 20 years or more. these are the same guys for the most part that stood beside of coach rider during the great years. as far as i know their duties are primarily the same. I will not name each assistant or the head coach in this post but I can say that If I had a child I would have no problem having these men teach my child about life and football Get off these mens backs and let them do their jobs it is a hard enough job with everyones support but all this internal fighting will destroy your program quicker than anything else. It is real easy to get on a computer behind a screen name and blast men who spend more time with your children than you do. My advice to all you coaches and you guys all know who I am talking to keep up the hard work because it is all for the kids. Tell coach jenkins that he is on our minds. Ignore all this crap but if the idiots on here succeed in getting what they want look in the mirror and know you did your best. Lord knows you always have that large suppliment..........ha ha ha

charles guinn from unaka has 1427 yards hard to leave him off but i'm biased to joey anderw casey pasquale...............there are so many good players form carter co. and elizabethton it would probably be better to have O & D.

ie3, good to hear from you, it is definately going to be a test for you guys this week but I san assure you that I have played against Catholic when dan schlaffer was the coach and they have always been a class act and are today. Do me a favor and look up a knox. co. deputy who travels with them, his name is John Grishom and he was my roommate in college whan we both played with Tennessee Wesleyan in college. I will make a 1 time post on this subject and will get on to preparing for our next game . I want to clear a few things up that were mentioned early on in the thread. I did not curse Mike after the game , my uncle who happens to help us as a volunteer asistant did call him a chickens--t for the way he treats kids on other teams because he gets mad at officials (yes I said officials, at half time of our game Friday night Mike lunceford had a confrontation with the referee and accused him of cheating their kids this was relayed to me by the head of the officials association at a meeting this morning) This is not the first tine this has happened (north Greene a few years ago )I am not saying that this is why the game got as far out of hand as it did I am just saying that when mike thinks something is being unjustly done to his kids he gets angry . After I shook hand with the Cloudland players I did express my disappointment with mike about the duration that his varsity boys played, I said nothing I couldn't back up with facts like That the front line for cloudland played almost the whole third period #66 a fifthh year senior because of a hardship that was granted due to a car accidint was in the game with 33.3 seconds to go in the third quarter along with others 70,78,73 etc. I know this because The Freshman he was going up against ,since pasqueles injury early in the second quarter, had to be taken out I told mike that I didn't agree that his entire varsity shouldn't have remained in with the score 60 to 13 and that was all I said to mike. He in turn told me that he had to get his lineman in shape for the playoffs and also bucause he had some backups hurt . It is fine for people to get on here and say wait till baseball and basketball but even if we could we wouldn't do that to them or to any one else . as for the remarks that 67 said about a 50-0 baseball score I was a Junior on that team and I played 1/2 inning but I was not a coach then and that is what we are discussing. I find no fault with the Cloudland players if the coach puts them in the game they should do their Jobs it is up th the coaches to call off the dogs. As far as you getting on here and saying that dropping large teams on our schedule is not how you build a program we have won 4 games this year , been competitive in all but 1 and have increased or numbers from 22 at the end of last year to 36 now we are building and it will not happen overnight this is the first program I have tried to turn around maybe you should come down voluinteer some free time snd help . I never said I had all the answers I just have to do what I think is right as does Mike Lunceford. To end this post we not cloudland canceled the J.V. game due to Injuries as well as the chanch of hard feelings on both sides we will however have a freshman game on tuesday with Chuckey doak.

The info you received was half correct Rusty was not allowed to play football because of his scoliosis which has been a concern for years. There is no problem with his baseball or basketball.

kim, Looks like you got the same info that I did they are big and physical up front #65,#62#10#30#24#15 all look like very good ball players so no we have not looked over anyony , with our record over the past 20 years or so we can't overlool anyone.

I will answer for krich on this one. I you are talking about Tim Chambers he did not go to Unaka or Elizabethton. He was a stand out multi - sport athlete at hampton high school. He had a son that went to hunter elementary and is an allstar athlete at Unaka high and also has another son at hunter that is going to be a good one. I don't know who won the bet but I hope the info helps.

I need some basic info on oakdale. Offensive set, defensive sets , key players etc. Ihave some phone calls in but haven't heard back as of yet. will be glad to ad info on us if it is needed. Please keep posts legit I don't need any trash talk or running down another team.

I am sitting here during my lunch period and saw this thread so I thought I would an in my thoughts. I have probably known Kim longer than anyone on this board, and in more different ways than most (fellow coach, fan , supportive father, angry father on occasion, but most of all as a friend) so I feel I can be honest on here I saw where Deke said Kim is a Huskie, highlander, ranger , etc. I can say that without any hesitation that Kim is a ranger ! He does however have a genuine appreciation and love for the game of football and for people who play the game the way it is supposed to be played regardless of school affiliation. Kim and I have gone toe to toe on several issues but in the grand scheme of things if I had a kid of my own in a tough spot I would want Kim to be there because he would either help them or die trying. I know that tis was a thread about his writing and his writing is almost as good as his integrity and character. Even further off the subject it doesnt look like you are ever going to get that hotdog so we will have to settle for a burrito at the mat. Thanks for everything you do for all kids. Mike Ensor

game was 20 - 0 ist quarter. played fresh/soph. rest of game except 1st drives offensively and defensively of 2nd half. Only had a kick off returned for a td against older guys. We had a couple of td's called back and tried to throw it in on two series in the fourth quarter when we could have run. Hats off to Grace we could have scored more and their kids wouldn't have quit.

to footballfan007 kings academy had to resort to playing 8 man because they went from mid twenties in numbers to the mid teens and as opposed to canceling their schedule they chose to go to 8man because they have kids who like to play, When they called us to ask if we would consider an8 man game we told them we would as has tennessee temple, cosby, etc. We would have prefered to play 11 man but with us having 38 players and them having 15 that wouldn't have been fair either . so as opposed to taking a forfeit we chose to try to play 8 man. as for trout we cant play keenburg they play for our Jr. high team and we cant play ourselvesand valley forge doesn't have football anymore so I guess we will play a good twin springs team.

kim the motivational effort you alluded to was, if you had listened , the statement was comparing the effort applied during yesterdays scrimmage the only comparisson was to the baseball teams refuse to lose attitude in conjunction with their hard work , as far as the basketball team comparison was to the way those kid completely sell out even with disregard to their bodies (diving on floor and into the stands etc. after loose balls) there was nevera negative comment as to tallent made only to the way the kids approach the game if i am correct in my memory i think i also used the Eliz. and cloudland programs as examples what talking is done in our locker room is meant to stay in our locker room but that will be easilly remedied because when we have a team meeting it will only include the coaches and players
