  1. I am so happy for all the members of the Central team tonight. They pushed through everything and never once lost the tempo of their game. They didn't change what kind of a team they were, and they outran, outhustled and flat out played the best game I have ever witnessed for this team. The highlight of my career was winning the District championship last year, but being there tonight made me realize that this was probably the best I have ever felt in any part of my time as a Cougar. Live this time up and enjoy all this while it lasts and make us proud at the state. Just like I said earlier you you can hang with anyone in the state if you play your game, and you l definately did that tonight. I can't explain how happy I am for you and believe me all the people who never made it there before you are feeling exactly what you all are feeling now. Thanks for this feeling and keep up the hard work and know that everyone in the Cougar community is sooooooooo proud of you all.
  2. Anybody know whether or not they have let the all-conference team go for the Watauga Conference yet?? If so where can I find it?? Thanks
  3. Make sure you throw somebody who doesn't get rattled easy, because if they get hits, they get happy and don't shut up. Their leadoff guy loves to bunt (their center fielder) but most the time it is right back to the pitcher. Thier shortstop is pretty good, but he can be beat, keep your pitches low and he'll hit weak grounders, but when you start leaving them up, thats when he'll crush them. Same with their number three and four batters. After that you can cruise through 5-9 because they're terrible. I don't know why doubleplay96 said their SS was their best on the mound, we ripped him. Mosley is pretty good though. He's got a hard fastball thats on ya before you know it and it is hard to pick up the spin off his curve ball. He went 10 innings against us in a 12 inning game and there was no real difference between his first pitch and his 150th. So when he starts, he won't stop till he's finished. I hope whoever plays them in regionals absolutely beats them to death. Hope this helped~
  4. it was a good game, central was up five to nothing after 20 outs, north scored five and forced it into extra innings. Each team tacked on another run to knot it up at six, then in the bottom of the 12th a double from norths first baseman with no outs forced central to intentionally walk two andload the bases. A hard grounder was just out of reach of centrals short stop, pushing in the game winning run. Mosley pitched solid for north thru ten innings then gave it over to s. gill who also threw the ball well. Centrals pitching performances were also strong enough to win with AJ Phelps throwing 6 2/3 before giving it over to Jesse Lane to finish it off.
  5. Ryan Davenport form Sullivan Central. Batting over .700 thus far in the season, nothin gets by him. 2 homeruns 1 of which a grandslam. all around awesome catcher
  6. I didn't get exactly what I wanted from the post, so what. Sorry about gettin the teams backwards, my bad. But you are full of CRAP if you say your 1-7 can hit homeruns any given day, and what are you talkin about your number 8,9,10 can hit them out--you have lost your small mind. What kind of field are you playin on, some LL field thats 200 ft. to straight away center? I said you all were good, but you're blowing things totally out of porportion. I'd believe it if I saw it.
  7. Sullivan Central=Team #1 Happy Valley=Team #2
  8. let me be more specific: Team #1 has very good pitching, with solid hitting and descent speed while Team#2 has good pitching, very good hitting, and batters 1-5 can outrun anybody in the conference. team 1 or team 2--who would you pick
  9. I couldn't have said it better. Nobody understands the confidence you feel when you take the field as a senior.

    district 1-aa

I don't know much about 5AA, I've heard of Walker Valley and McMinn Central, but none of the others.
  11. Two very talented teams take the field. You're going to put money on the game, who would you pick: (team #1) the team with talent, but led by Sophomores with two years of varsity experience at the most or (team #2) the team with talent composed mainly of sr.'s (7 of 9 starters) most of which have 3-4 years of varsity experience. What's your opinion and why??

    district 1-aa

For some odd reason, I'm not too worried about playing HV. It'll be a good game, but experience will prevail. Don't get me wrong, you all do have a good team but anyone would take old more seasoned experience over younger talent. I'll start a new post and we'll see what kind of responses we get. Monday, April 2nd--JUDGEMENT DAY
  13. I didn't think you would have anything to say.

For the second time--Happy valley WILL NOT win the conference. They will be lucky to get second or third. So far all you all are is talk. Run your mouths on here all day, I'm just waiting for you to back it up. And if you do, I will be totally dumbfounded, but for some reason I'm not too worried about it.
  15. Happy Valley is in for a rude awakening. I seriously doubt they win conference.
