Congratulations to LC alumnus, Ronnie Yeiser, on being named head coach.
-
Hard to believe no one on the current staff was qualified for that position, guess this will lead to more qualified alumni teachers and coaches to leave home...so sad....

Could someone explain to me how the administration lets a HOF coach that is also an alumnus with 34 years of service to the school system just walk away without a fight. Guess that speaks volumes for Lewis County Schools administration.

So, you are bragging about making it past the second round twice, then add in another post second round that another posted to make three times in last 25 years?
Have those round balls bouncing come next week!
No, bragging is stating that in 30 years under Coach Sharp, LC has made 28 playoff appearances, 6 quarterfinal appearances, 1 semi final appearance, 10 seasons with at least 10 wins and 6 undefeated seasons...

Haven't seen many Lewis county foljs on here figured this would be a fun week
You would probably see more posts from LC folks and would be able to have a good conversation about football if every thread about LC was not hijacked by idiots....

Delusional. I have been well educated in the practices of Columbia Academy sports over the last 50 years. Living in Maury Co. all my life, I can tell you right away if you believe this I need to sell you some property. Why do you think there was a push by the county schools to stop scheduling them in sports? Wasn't because of school colors or anything like that.
I dont have a real horse in the race, just cant stand CA sympathizers saying stuff out the sides of there mouth that sounds more like it should be coming out of their back side. I have seen them play a couple of games, and they are pretty good. I wanted to get to see LC, so I watched some hudl, I think you need to give them some credit. They look to be a solid 2A team, and should win this game. What do I know, we dont play football in Cully. Cant wait for basketball season.
Agreed Cully, watched CA lose the state championship to Perry County in basketball one year when over half of the starters were from Lewis County, some of the same kids that won the middle school state championship while playing at LC.

Good luck and safe travels to our visitors from TCA as they make their way to Lewis County this afternoon. Was bored at work this morning, playing on line and noticed, had forgotten, that this is the 27 straight year for LC to make the playoffs, pretty good for a small country school...
-
Can some of you West Tennessee posters tell us a little of what to expect from TCA, we don't know much about them over here in Middle Tennessee. Lewis County will run it all night with a few passes thrown in to try to make the defense guess a little, LC had over 400 yards rushing against Hickman County friday. LC has made it through the regular season without any major injuries, guess we have been lucky...

CPA wins; easily
Does Mt. Pleasant still field a FB team, have not anything out of them in years...
-
If there were better officiating it would have went the other way, but can't change it. Will see who goes further in the playoffs
Right about that jacket, if they would have called a couple of those holds on the edges, it would not have not been that close...

37 - 3 Lewis Co 4th qtr

No our would be reason will be 3 different coaching staffs during that time period.
Just face it, Lewis Co. can't compete when facing stiffer competition nowadays.
HAHAHAHAHA!!!

bulldog3509 must be Patterson's mother, because she is constantly talking about how great a coach he is. It is funny that he is fired and Hickman Co. is headed to back to back postseason appearances. You are doing the same thing you are blaming current Lewis Co. players and parents of doing--pointing the finger at someone else.
The downfall of Lewis Co.'s program started 4 years ago when the reclassification began. Lewis was forced to play a much tougher schedule than they have previously done under Sharp. As a result more L's and less W's.
LC 29 - 24 4 years plus this year
MC 25 - 27 4 years plus this year
That's Marshall County's reason!!

Too funny BigSwan. Tell junior to go for the tuba. Genetically he should have plenty of air!
Wussies. Get off the football board. Poor little Johnny. Them mean ol coaches are hollaring and making him actually work for what he gets. Holy crap. I can see why the big city kids are soft and weak. But country folks from Lewis County? This dam country is sinking faster than I thought.
You don't need a football coach. You need a drama coach!
Great Post!!

Nut-cutting time.
This situation has nothing to do with players not following the rules. Nothing about players not being able to handle "nut-cutting time". Nothing about parents... I'm not sure where and how and why that is being injected here.
It's about an out of control coaching staff who has lost the support of not just the few, but of the many.
Once again, dozens and dozens are not playing because of Sharpe.
Think about it.
Please explain the out of control staff and their lost support, and as for those dozens and dozens not playing could it be because they could not follow the rules, lord forbid these kids have rules to follow! I have been following LC football for over 40 years and have lived in Hohenwald my whole life, where everyone knows everyone, and for the life of me I can't figure out these dozens and dozens of athletes you speak of walking the halls of the high school. Coach Sharp ( NO E) has given his all and continues to give his all to Lewis County football and I for one am very greatful for his hard work and proud of the program he has built, not just the team but the facilities he (yes HE) built to make the committed players better!
-
With so many of LC's best athletes walking the halls, these outcomes are to be expected.
Each year more and more just say "forget it".
I'm talking about kids who are dying to play... but not for that staff.
Question:
Why is Sharpe and that 1950's offense so darn precious?
Maybe those athletes walking the halls need to play tennis or golf, one off the I sports and not a team sport since it is evident they only play for themselves
-
Spot on....
Some of the best high school teams in the country run the T. Giles has much respect for coach Sharp and his staff.
Parents are raising a generation that is filled with wussies. You are either a part of something bigger than yourself or you become a loner blaming everyone else for your failures. Now kids just quit when it gets tough. They are learning it from their parents and the parents allow it. If you start it by God you finish it irregardless if its football, band, fund raisers or bagging grocery's. When you quit once you will be a quitter for life!
This is a Football Board. If you ain't tough enough to fight to be a member of the club then click on the darn cheerleader board!

Results after Week 4 of District Play
Page 4-0
Giles 3-0
Fairview 3-1
Hickman 2-2
Lewis Co. 1-2
Marshall 1-2
Summit 1-2
East Hickman 1-3
Spring Hill 0-4
Last week I went 4-0 picking Summit to get their first district win in school history. Coach Keesler has proven me wrong with the way he has improved his team each week. It seems if the QB stays healthy then they are very competitive. My Tigers finally got a win against Spring Hill it was nice to get in the win column and I hope Coach Pitts can build on that and move forward.
Game of the Week
Hickman Co. at Summit- The Bulldogs got shutout in their homecoming against a stingy Fairview defense. The Spartans got their first W in district play. This game should be a good one and probably will be over in the shortest amount of time since both teams like to keep it on the ground. I'll take Hickman winning in the 4th by a score of 28-13.
Other Games
Giles Co. vs. Spring Hill- The ole ball coach is going to be serving the 2nd game of his "suspension". This one will be over early and the Bobcats can rest up for a big test at the Brickyard the next week. Giles 56 Spring Hill 6
Marshall vs. Fairview- Looks like the Jackets are slowly turning things around. Their defense is one of the toughest in the district and they probably have the most playmakers but have been unable to blow people out like last season. For that reason I think my Tigers can hang tough the entire game, but will come up a little short. Fairview 28 Marshall Co. 21
The Fan Bases think they are a lot better than they are Game of the Week
East Hickman at Lewis- Both fan bases have unrealistic expectations. Both are subpar this season. This should be a very good game down til the end but Lewis will win out due to being the more physical of the two. Lewis Co. 35 East Hickman 28
Amazing to hear someone from marshall county talking about unrealistic expections, what a tool !!!!
-
I'll say it, great job Summitt. Y'all will learn that Lewis Co. is the greatest team ever every year until they get blown out a few times, then they suddenly become strapped with injuries, the coach becomes stupid, or little Johnny was thinking about his ACT instead of football. That's how they roll.
Keep fighting Summit! Y'all have a great group of young men!!!!
Cowboy, your mancrush and envy for LC are showing!!!

Or maybe, just maybe, you have no idea what you are talking about! Since you think you know everything about Coach Sharp, did you ever think it could be something else in Coach Sharp's life that would cause him to move back to his wife's hometown, other than football.
