I'll second that, Camden's players, coaches and fans are a class act and I am going to miss those battles. I really was looking forward to week ten next season. Good luck to Camden in their new region, instead of Lc and Camden it will be Camden and Huntington for the region championship. As for Lewis County, I am sure LC and Hickman County will be a great natural rivalry

say you are sick of coach Sharp and the wing t, but don't speak for everyone in LC, Coach Sharp is one the best coaches if not the best LC has ever had and as far as "fun day" those kids and remember we are talking about kids here, deserve it

Why would Coach Sharp or Coach Ward leave LC or Camden, their programs are just as good or better than they could have at MC, plus they do not have to put up with all the politics that come with the MC program. just not a big enough step up

Good Luck from LC, not that a team as good as Camden needs much luck, play hard and leave it all out on the field and everything else will take care of itself

gerry, i don't think anyone that knows anything about football will be suprised, i think the Camden / CPA could be a good one, the Lewis / Goodpasture, well that could get scary, i've watched LC all year, they have a good defense, sometimes really good, but the offense? I am amazed at what the coaches at LC have done this year (10-1) with these kids and with the young kids continuing to mature and understand what is expected the offense will come around

I would call it wishful thinking on your part zorro, If and I do mean a big IF Coach Sharp left LC it wouldn't be to somewhere as unstable as Marshall County, with the facilities and support he has at LC, I just don't see him going somewhere he would have to start from scratch, not saying that someday Coach Sharp would not leave LC but it would be for a school that has more to offer than MC, maybe somewhere like Columbia Central or another 5A school, but with what he has coming in terms of players for the next 5 years I doubt it

sorry papa, but you know what you said about LC chances against Camden (21-0), well if Waverly stays that close to CPA you can count it as a moral victory, the only team in region 6 2A that can play with CPA is Camden because Camden has an offense to go with that great defense they play

remember, it was just as wet and muddy for LC as it was for Camden

Congrads Camden, you earned it, lets keep this going and meet again in 3 weeks in Camden this time. what a game. the 2 best defenses I've seen in a long time. just shows the huge gap between the top 2 and the rest of the region. great showing by both schools fans and sportsmanship from the 2 teams. Again, Congradulations Camden on the Region 6 2A Championship, enjoy it, you deserve it but remember the 2nd season begins now and we have business to take care of. and thank you LC for the great regular season, now lets begin the 2nd half

R, you are right, these 2 schools have nothing but respect for each other because they have earned it, something these smack talkers know nothing about 2 teams ranked in the top 5 in the state, undefeated in their region, playing the the region championship, what more could anyone ask for!! have seen how Camden reacts to a challenge, will be interesting to see how LC reacts to their first challenge of the season, one thing is for sure, which ever teams wins or loses, you will not hear all the excuses these other pretenders use

Is Mt. Pleasant ready to try to play LC again after dropping them, it is a shame this series ended after playing them for over 50 years

we do have a long tradition, but Camden is just as well known, as a matter of fact they have advanced further in the playoffs than Lewis County the last couple of years. LC was mentioned in the Alcoa and Goodpasture threads but only to say how bad they could beat LC. Ranking do not mean anything, they are nice but how you finish at the end of the season is how you are remembered

papa, let go, the waverly/LC game is long over, waverly lost, weather it be by 1 point, 24 points or 50 points. you don't get points for standing toe to toe, you only get points for scoring, something waverly COULD NOT do on Lewis County's defense. Camden plays Riverside this week, lets hope it is a safe and injury free game, as for the Camden / LC game I think it will be one of the best, two top ten programs that look like they are poised to stay that way with all the youth they play. if the tssaa does not change the regions again, this will become one the best and well known rivalries in the state
