Man, why are all these people talking about playing each other so far down the road? As for the HARPETH FAN, if you think you're gonna beat us that bad, you're retarded. EVEN IF, AND I DO MEAN IF, ya'll beat us, this isnt the b.c.s. friend, so we would still go into the playoffs and do just as we usually do. Lewis County will beat Richland and Lewis County will beat Harpeth and both will probably be blowouts. As of right now, I might say that Lewis County would only beat Harpeth by 3 td's but that's all I'm giving. I'm not on the football team so nobody go and start saying that this is what our players are saying. I'm just a spectator and a fan that is behind our strong Panthers team this year and I hope that we make it as far as possible. After the Harpeth fan makes one more outrageous post that Harpeth is gonna beat us and then beat us to death with those jugs, can we please get back to the subject? It won't even be close. I guarantee the most exciting part will be the homecoming ceremonies before the game. Lewis County wins, 42-0. ps. GO COVINGTON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It makes me sick to see you guys saying this when you have sub par records and you're talking trash to the number 3 2-A team in the state. Ask anybody about the schedules. 90% of the teams that we don't play anymore dropped us because it was the same outcome every year. We drop you're mediocre teams and pick up teams like Westmoreland and Cheatham County and all of the sudden we're scared? You couldn't hang with those teams. Perry County vs. Cheatham County. I bet that would be a real battle.Ya'll would be lucky to walk off the field at the end of the game. Wise up guys.

thebeave, what's your deal with coach McConnell? I don't play football or anything and I've never talked to him, I just wanted to know your reasoning. Sounded like there might be a story behind it.

Lewis County plays a HUGE rivalry game this Halloween against their biggest rival over the past few years, Harpeth. We've beaten them the last few times and I'm sure we won't take anything off on them this time. Oh yeah, and it's senior night so expect them to be even more pumped.

now now now children, pagingmrherman (a.k.a STILL the best popcorn maker in the state) is back to throw in my 2 cents. Usually I hear all the same ole' rumors during the summer bout the Lewis County football team but this year has been a little different. I haven't quite heard as much info but the things I have heard have really restored my faith in this year's team. I figured with all our bigger leaders leaving last year that this year would be a rebuilding year, but not according to what I've heard. I'm not trying to give anyone the big head but I've heard that this year's team will be every bit as good as last. It's true that we're not exactly known as the best late season team, but the last time I checked most teams would kill to make it as far as we do EVERY SINGLE YEAR. I haven't heard as much hype this year but I've heard enough to make me confident in our team. We probably won't be as good as some of the years past, but you can bet your life we'll give every team we play a run for their money. I have no worries about the coaches, as much time as Lewis County spends thinking about football, I'm sure we'll pick the right ones.

does anyone have any views on how this year's team will look? i heard it's not gonna be quite as strong a team as last year but i'd like to hear some different opinions.

it may not be my place to say anything, and i know no one will agree with my view but it's really not our place to tell coaches how to coach. like the old saying goes," i dont come to your work and..." so on. we all understand the views of all of you but no two coaches are exactly alike. all coaches have different methods. that's their job. they're not there to babysit your kids, they're there to do their job, win, and get paid for it because that's what they choose to do. the kids are out there voluntarily and it's their choice if they want to play or not. it's the coach's job to go out there and win. now i admit some coaches do take that a little far but it's not our place to say what should be going on out there on the field, court, etc. dont tell all coaches how to do their jobs because your child or some child you saw didnt get treated fairly. i havent said much on this board but i saw something that made me a little frustrated. classof94, you really need to keep your nose out of this business. goldenboy, who i know pretty well and wouldnt say a cross word to anybody, meant it as a joke and you people out there took it way out of proportion. goldenboy shouldnt have apologized for all you dead beats out there. he made a joke and if you cant take it then i feel sorry for you. you may have mistakenly taken it out of context, but you need to keep your fat faces out of two peoples business. what goldenboy and alex do as friends is none of anybody's business and you should most certainly not judge them by something you ignorantly blew up.

congratulations giles county, coming from lewis county. we were all behind you and you never stopped representing our district. you guys truly deserved it and i hope to see a repeat next year. that is if you dont get beat in district. just kiddin but great year you guys, nobody deserved it more than you.

I right now will personally state the that lewis coutny guys golf team should give no one any competition. i know all of our guys and i can honestly say that everyone kind of hopes that our golf season will just be skipped this year. we have one pretty good golfer and he's the only one with enough sense to just get out there and play with his heart. his name is jeffrey depriest and he will lead our team of lack-luster performers. lewis county will be an absolute joke besides depriest. not because of coaching anyways because they have a very good coach. but because besides depriest they might as well just forfeit. if any of you little freshman that think our golf team is so high and mighty have a problem with this, then feel free to let me know. im here all week.

i agree. both giles and lewis need to stick together and give each other all the encouragement they can. NO MATTER WHERE YOU'RE FROM, YOU HAVE TO ADMIT: THE GILES COUNTY AND LEWIS COUNTY CHEERING SECTIONS COMBINED WOULD BE TOO MUCH FOR ANYBODY TO HANDLE. WE WOULD BE ABSOLUTELY DEAFENING. im very impressed with the decision on the nemi. coach lawson deserved it and i think espn has actually called him for his mad skillz to come join the tour. if wadata remembers, i actually picked the faculty to win this morning. i knew the students couldnt handle coach cox, and i proved true. i was a little disappointed with damien clayton though. i expected more but i guess he showed why he's a football and baseball coach. i was very VERY disappointed with the students team this year, all except jay watson. you played well jay, i was impressed. otherwise, all i saw was a bunch of ball hogs trying to show off in front of the whole school. i was actually embarrassed to be a student. i would also like to compliment senor' jackson on his performance. he was a very strong sixth man off the bench and my hat's off to him.

well roy, i thought we played like crap last nite, but we won so it doesnt matter i guess. was i the only one that didnt get the full effect of senior night since it technically wasnt our last home game.

well i is new here to this site and i'd like to say that everybody is right in here. i'd like to see more pictures of justin conkle and some of the refs, you know, people that be representin, people besides those cumbersomes. no disrespect to them, but if we had a slide show of this panthers season, it would just be darryl and dustin's life story.
