  1. I love the fact that simply by one news story, some moron can honestly say there are BAD PARENTS IN LEWIS COUNTY. Pretty sure there are bad parents everywhere, not just there. All the parents out there who are perfect can reply and correct me though. Blame falls on the kids and the coach who was dumb enough to shoot at people for it. Parents had nothin to do with this.
  2. It really amazes me how much emphasis is put on Lewis County's middle school teams from the past few years. I've been to several games the past couple seasons and it's a joke. These kids are good but it's like their schedule was made by Bobby Sharp. (FANTASTIC coach that I have all the respect in the world for but known there for a while as the "King of Cupcake Schedules") With Lewis County's reputation it's difficult to find good close competition but still.....9-1 or 10-0 wasn't even impressive for Lewis County a few years back. Granted, that team is working a lot harder for their victories than in the past. You can't look too much into middle school talent though when they don't play ANYONE. The teams they play are awful. The young QB will be a stud though, don't get me wrong. He's really gonna be something and a lethal combination with Crowell in coming years.
  3. Coach Rochester can be quick to sub at times, but you'll have that with most coaches. This isn't a dominant team that can keep 5 good players on the floor the whole game. Lewis has some depth so they have to get all those players in. The strategy has worked out fairly well this year. If you're looking for that consistency from Coach Rochester, you're not gonna find it. Keep dreaming. When you have a team that's not blessed with height, you're gonna have to adjust your game plan for almost every game. You're gonna need your bigger guys for some games and then you'll need speed for others. This team has been a lot more consistent with the line up than last year though. Just gotta go with what works best on that night.
  4. I was there and didn't notice anything negative about the game. The Panthers looked the best that they've looked in a long time. The team chemistry was actually better than normal and I was very impressed. Chance Helton completely controlled the tempo of the game and it seemed like he had his hand in on every play. Against the pressure defense of Summertown, a great ballhandler is what you need and Helton played the part perfectly. Tonight was an exhibition of what a point guard should be. All the other pieces fell into place and the Panthers did a great job. Good luck when ya'll travel to Spring Hill.
  5. If you don't leaders you have problems. Who are you gonna look to in pressure situations with no leader? Who's gonna calm the team down or pump the team up as needed? Leaders can change on a night-to-night basis but you're gonna have the same core people all season. Whether this team this year has one or not, you always need somebody to set the tempo.
  6. Leader? Emotionally, yes that's very true, but talent wise is a different story. That Panther team doesn't function without Kyle Tenison. Period. He takes the attention down low to free up perimeter shooters like Brewer.
  7. My first and last prediction of the football season: Goodpasture: 28 Lewis County:0. If Lewis County wants to have a chance at winnin this game they are gonna HAVE TO get creative with their playcalling.
  8. Sorry to correct but Brewer ended up with 15 and Carroll had 14. Brewer's three in the 2nd half was actually Carroll's. I wouldn't say anything if I wasn't absolutely positive and I am absolutely 100% positive.
  9. I'm almost positive he was referring to the region loss in the second round last year. Anyways, last year was last year and I'm sure the guys have put it behind them. This is a new year and with a slightly more even district and realigned region, the Panthers are out to prove something, just as every team is. I wish them the best of luck this year.
  10. Evidently you two aren't all that close because you didn't even spell his name right. Anyways, in my personal opinion, I feel that Lewis County fans are in for another exciting year. A new coach and a few new faces are looking to make quite a buzz in Hohenwald this season. It's still a little early for specifics but otherwise good luck to the guys.
  11. I am sorry but dudu, until you start playing, decrease the trash talk please. We beat Collinwood pretty good but there's no reason to act like idiots. I don't want Page getting on here and talking about how they DESTROYED everybody that we put against them except Josh. Look, if we win, then you can talk a little bit, but keep it to a mature level. Tone it down dudu. I don't want to sound like a big sourpuss but just make yourself look a little smarter.
  12. Just to set the record straight, the number 3 seed for Lewis County was not soundly deafeated against Fairview. He won 6-1 to be exact. Check your facts next time dudu. Well, it's about that time that another legend of Coach T should return. I've been awaiting this for months and it's finally here. In the next few days, the one and only HUNT4 will return to Coach T. He has apparently been away long enough and from what I have heard, he has a lot on his mind. The anticipation is building. Next match is Thursday against an awesome Marshall County team from what I have heard. Best of luck to everyone. Congratulations to Josh Head on being the only winner at Page on Tuesday. We'll skip the other details of that day. Home match Thursday, everybody be there.
  13. Well what's up everybody? Everyone down here in THE Hohenwald is getting fired up for tennis season. I can't wait for the big tailgating party next week when Collinwood comes for a little visit. Rightchea, the reports have been awesome and I can't wait to hear some more. The tennis team is looking good this year and we should be pretty successful. By the way, that doesn't sound like Poppy Jackson. That sounds like a poopy Jackson to me. (boy that was lame) It may be the real Jackson but I don't know. Just want to let you know Rightchea, that if you really need a date for prom, you can borrow my hat that instantly makes you as hot as Kenny Chesney. It is sure to bring you some ladies. I will be back at tennis as soon as the weather gets a little better. I am currently on the Injured Reserve for the next day or so with a severe case of chapped lips. I am going to rehab them tonight and hopefully be back in the next few days. Also, I am going to personally look into finding whoever was bothering John Lawson the other day and have a talk with them. This sort of thing simply cannot be allowed especially when he barely has time to get to play because of his difficult work schedule. We'll get him a smaller shirt also. Keep up the good work to Schuski and Nick "Honored to give Kerry a ride" McClain.
  14. Carlos from Lewis County pretty easily handled Bedwell. 6-2 or 6-3 I believe but it wasn't very close. Carlos is very tough. He gave up the first two games like he always does but then started playing. He wasn't in town for Marshall County but reportedly would have not had much trouble.
  15. I would believe that the game tonight would be cancelled because Marshall County cannot play when school's cancelled. It's their rule.
  16. i was a member. p-unit p'juice boy. wadata and mightymouse know.
  17. I haven't heard anything about Chapin or Hull. Thank you though Goldenboy. Everyone one Coach T knows that Goldenboy is extremely reliable and would never lie about David's numbers. What you said sounds about right. David's a freak plain and simple. The funny part is just knowing him as a person. He's crazy.
  18. Let's settle this the easy way. Ask Goldenboy. He's a reliable source and he's a former Panther Footballl player. So Goldenboy, back when you were pumpin the major iron (bout a year ago), was David not in the mid-400's, around 450 or more? I'm not even gonna ask bout the 40 because everyone already knows he's really that fast.
  19. First off, ask anyone on the Lewis County team and they will tell you that David Sharp bench presses around the 450 mark or even more. The kid is a freak plain and simple. I don't care if you ran David down a few times, what you run in your 40 isn't exactly the same as what you run in a game. Question smart one, when you time your 40, are you trying to cut through holes, follow blockers, spin, and hurdle all while wearing full pads? I don't think so. Most likely you were out there in shorts, a t-shirt, and tennis shoes just like everybody else. David has got endless potential and I hope that he goes somewhere where they will have good enough coaches to develop that further. Even if he doesn't go on to be a quarterback, the man's foot alone would be accepted to any college around. AND I MEAN ANY COLLEGE. Perhaps the loudest the Lewis County fans got last night was after David's 74 yard punt! As for the game, I was unimpressed with Huntington. There were a solid team but very beatable. I still think that Lewis County lost that game for themselves last night because of senseless turnovers. Huntington deserves to be where they are but they lose big to Milan next week. I'm saying 3 touchdowns.
  20. Well I figure I need to throw my two cents back in this pot. Believe it or not people, it is possible for Huntington to have a bad game no matter what anybody says. You people act as though Huntington is the greatest single team ever assembled. 72' Dolphins? Nothing compared to Huntington. Walter Payton? Nothing compared to Terrance Bell. I'm just joking about some of this stuff but seriously are they that amazing? If they are, why aren't they number 1 on the front page of Coach T? I know there is a great chance of Lewis County losing Friday night and I would absolutely bet all my money on Huntington, but I would always have that uneasy feeling in the pit of my stomach. Don't underestimate this Panther team people. They are tough and I guarantee they will make this game a lot tougher on Huntington than anybody thinks. Huntington-24 Lewis County-17
  21. I myself am a "LUNA-TIC" and I never even noticed the band playing during the game. It's sad when fans are paying more attention to the game than the actual players. I would like to send an actual quote from Mr. Luna to McKensie, just remember that Tracy actually said this once:" You see this, this is your fun balloon' (make a popping motion toward the balloon and a whissing sound as if air is leaking) No more fun." end quote. Cry me a river.
  22. I may have misunderstood some of the opinions but I just wanted to express myself in saying that everyone knows that stats don't matter much when it comes to the playoffs. I apologize for the mix up. It's Lewis County in the third round and everybody knows how we do there. I'm just a little nervous I guess.
  23. Here's a question, what if you had advanced and went on to play a team where there seems to be no end of their fans? WHat if they were cheering too loud? What would you complain about that?
  24. While ya'll were listening to the band, dustin duval was scoring touchdowns. Kepp your mind on the game next time.
  25. Come on people. True football fans know that stats and the regular season don't mean anything come playoff time. Who cares who beat who and by how much? Who cares what you're averaging in points a game? If you don't show up ready to play the game of your life every night, somebody is gonna beat you no matter their record or talent. If I had to bet my life on it, I'd pick Huntington, but not by much. And for all those people that think they're so smart out their with their big stats downing Lewis County, what exactly happened to Huntington in the first round last year? I figure you people would know better than to run your mouths after that experience. Don't count your chickens before they hatch Huntington fans.
