  1. X'Zorion Randolph is averaging 125 yards per game and has 11 touchdowns for Giles County. Ran for nearly 1,000 yards as a pure backup last season. This junior is the most explosive playmaker on a pretty good Bobcat team.
  2. Was broadcasting last Friday's game. Was a weird one. Richland pulled its starters up big and FACS kept coming back. Richland is flying high. Mt. Pleasant is coming off a loss, but still obviously a very good team. Should be one of the biggest games at Wayne Hobbs Memorial Stadium in a long while.
  3. Should be a fun one tonight in Winchester. LISTEN ON Pulaski Citizen Live https://mixlr.com/pcl-gchs
  4. I always love going over to FCHS to broadcast. Amazing school, terrific staff and tremendous facilities. It has been a hard-fought battle the last few meetings between these two clubs. I look forward to another good one Friday.
  5. the answer is probably a little bit of both. LCHS is improved, and GCHS is still tinkering with personnel on defense, especially versus heavy run teams. trying to gameplan for a Wing-T offense is a tall task when facing a regular season opponent. I just wonder how much time they put into gameplanning for a one-off scrimmage?
  6. Giles still has a few question marks entering the season, but being at home should help. They notoriously struggle in their first game of the year, but were able to handle a very down LCHS squad last year. The Falcons will be much improved this year under new HC Eddie Cunningham, but I could see Giles pulling away in the second half. Excited to broadcast this game on our new local platform, Pulaski Citizen Live. Hard to believe this will be my 12th season of covering Bobcat footbaw.
  7. Giles County's two trophies (Gold Ball, '09, Silver Ball, '13) both came when they were sent West. and not that it matters, but they *are* west of I-65
  8. Page game was never played due to COVID. Really wish they had been able to get it on. Nolensville was one of the best regular-season games I have ever had the pleasure of broadcasting. Page would have been just as electric with both teams undefeated at the time.
  9. Starting this thread. Bobcats should have another strong team. They lost some All-State talent, but have some up-and-coming All-State talent waiting in the wings. Especially excited to see X Randolph take the reins as full-time running back after being a tremendous spell back for Chaye McElroy a year ago. Kamauri Turner is a top-level playmaker, whatever position you line him up at. And this could be a breakout year for Amare Smith — son of GCHS legend Tyler Smith — who anchored one side of the line last year. Schedule will be challenging, as usual. Lincoln County, Nolensville, Franklin County, Page, Columbia, and Cleveland is quite the non-conference slate. Region schedule should see GCHS favored in every game, but these teams have also now had a full year to see and assess the talent that GCHS has, so games could presumably be a lot closer.
  10. Hot job just supposedly opened in 1A.
  11. Lincoln County promoted assistant Eddie Cunningham to its head coaching position. Cunningham coached at Riverdale years ago, and also coached within Lincoln County at Fayetteville before coming over to LCHS. Great dude and wishing Coach C and the Falcons best of luck.
  12. Coach Olive always a tremendous man of integrity and respect. Even in the lean years. All the best to Coach Olive in retirement.
  13. Alcoa didn't need motivation or help. They got both. They would probably win the 5A title this year. Congrats in advance on Gold Ball #20
  14. Virtually a pick 'em according to the oddsmakers for this week. I lean East Nashville based on strength of schedule, as several have already referenced.
