you should be proud those boys played a gutsy first half and just could not get the shots to fall in the second half...our coach has our guys playing inspired basketball, we have had three deaths at our school in the last week and that is why we are wearing the black sweat bands....it is odd you only won one game last year because our kids were 1-15 last year as seventh graders....both teams have worked hard to get where they are at now....you guys will have a heck of a high school team if they keep working at it

yes the boys at Oliver Springs have a very good team....that Byrge kid is a very good player, we were fortunate to hold him to 13 points....our holston kids played very well and passed the ball well to get those layups....good luck to the o.s. girls on saturday....i will post the scores of their game and our boys championship game

in area 1 play tonight the girls championship game was postponed until friday at 6:00 due to University School not being able to make it to play rogersville city the boys game was played as scheduled and holston defeated rogersville city 44-17 to take the area 1 number 1 seed

you should give a mention to daniel skelton of central, he is the leader of the team, he does all the intangibles, he draws the toughest defensive assignment almost every night, he is the best defensive player in the league and gives full out effort every night even though he has been playing on a bum ankle for a month, he can even score when he has to, he lit up Volunteer on tuesday

yes there is a difference, rogersville middle school is the county school and is larger by enrollment, rogersville city school is smaller and houses more than just 6-8, the two schools are less than a mile apart
