Shay did not even go to Giles until his junior year Him and his dad lived with his sister after his mother died before his freshman year and went to Ardmore Alabama

neely I wasn't neccessarily talking to you I was talking to all GCHS fans especcially the adults I am proud that you love your school I think that is great all I am saying is that when someone posts something lets not get so upset it is their right too I think Tyler is great and he will shut them up on his own

O.K. people I have held my tongue as long as I can I am originally from Giles County and went to almost all of their games for the past two years until this year and I am just so tired of the way people from G.C. act it is embarrassing yes we all know that Tyler is a great player that is why yall do not have to go on here and constantly talk about him like he is God first of all you are only making it harder on him because it makes everyone hate him and he is not the one on here talking he is a good kid and has to take the heat because of the fans and its just sad.He is so talented that he does not need you to jump on people if they say one thing about him that yall don't like just ignore the haters and let the players handle it on the court.

How did Giles play must not have been very good I keep checking for stats and game info and cant get any except that they won by like 6 points well anyway good luck Giles the rest of the season and if anyone has info please post

Shay Shannon could have went somewhere bigger but thanks to Coach Holt who never gives players their recruitment papers he was too late to recieve schlorships at many larger schools but from what I hear he is hoping to make the best of his oppertunity at Columbia and get to play his other years at a bigger school

I am not even from Giles I am from Alabama just enjoy going and watching a good team play and have went to alot of their games. I just think that if you let a bunch of cheering teenagers bother you that much maybe you should not even go to the games my gosh I mean I have had the opposing fans yell things at my team too but it is all done in fun and does not mean that these kids are disrespectful in life in general Most of these kids I am sure if you ask anyone who knows them they are great kids I personaly do not know wneely or any of the other ones but I think thet show great team spirit Keep it up guys

yes because we know all high school kids are always nice and polite to each other and that the only ones saying anything negative was Giles the other schools always say encouraging words to the other team What planet are you from? I am a grown woman but I know this is all done in fun get over it

excuse me for a mistake I just listened to the game on the radio could not make it to the game and I did not hear them say that he got his 5th foul but thats ok the rest of the boys won it anyway

Come on guys enough is enough We all know that the play got rough and you tried to win by fouling even some of your fans said that was your game plan Well it did not work to say GC got calls called for them is no way true and as for wneely your players need to learn to play with that going on GC is not the only team with a student section the only reason you are mad at GC's is because our team won .CC's coach should have been able to get them to play through that and not lose your temper if he is a coach and i am not saying that he is not a coach dont really know anything of him but he should have been able to handle that. and yes Tyler has got to learn to keep his temper in check or every team will be trying to get in his head but then we showed we can win without him dont forget we have alot of great players

Tyler had 4 fouls he did not foul out He did let cheatum get in his head though and I hope he learned from that because we need more out of him than what we have got in the last two games but I am sure he will come out in force tonight along with all the other GC players come on guys show them what you can do and play your game

Giles does need to improve on their free throws there is no reason to miss that many shots but I do think that when you get slapped on all night it makes hitting those shots harder. I think that it is so funny to sit here and read these posts on who has class and who doesnt of course everyone thinks that their school is best that is just the way it is supposed to be. The Giles boys just do not need to let teams that the only hope they have is to foul to get in their head. Also I think that this group of kids on the whole are a good group of boys from GC. People from other schools are quick to hate but thats because it is fun to hate the best and right now until someone proves otherwise they are the best. Good luck to GC tonight and Shay I am rooting for you and the rest of the guys.

Keithr does have a right to his opinion and he may well be a big giles fan I just wanted to let him know that he should not post such negetive things about one of his teams players. Yes Shay is in a slump and I know that noone hates that as much as him but he didnt just post what is up with Shay he posted a very negative put down and I was just pointing out that lets stand behind all of our players even when they are down I just thought that the comment about him not being able to hit water was uncalled for and that is my opinion. The same thing happened a few weeks ago with all the GC fans about Zach and I just think it is time to get behind all of our players so we can go back to the 'boro. If someone from another school posted these things about Shay or Tyler or Channing or any of the GC players we would all get on here and bash them and stand up for them but then we want to say bad things its fine.I am sure that maybe keithr is a big supporter of GC and maybe he just did not think about what he said would bother anyone but it will bother the person in the slump or their family or friends.So anyway PEACE and lets start cheering them cats on and encouraging Shay to get back on track and all of the other cats to pick up their game at this important time of the season!

I think simply asking the question would have been fine but saying he coulnt hit water if he fell out of a boat I think that is turning your back on him. How do you think that will make him feel when he reads that I am sure that will help his confidence to know that is how his (fan?) support him .I know that noone is harder on themselves than Shay is on himself so lets get behind all of our cats Shay Zach Tyler Channing Kash Justin and all of our bench to go as far as we can go Shay just remember that there are alot of people out there pulling for you we all know how good you are

First of all I love how us Giles County fans are the first to turn on our own players if thats the kind of fan you are the boys really dont even need you to come watch the game. Shay did hurt his arm at the Marshall county game and besides that he really isnt missing all that many shots he is just not taking them he is leaving the shots to his teammmates because he has been hurt and lately they have not really needed him and his teammates have been doing well with scoring I am sure he will be the first one to step up when needed and he has been playing and hustling hard. But come on bobcat fans lets get behind these players and quit getting on here and bashing them behind a screen name I have known Shay since he was a little kid and he is one of the nicest young men around. You know sometimes you get in a slump lets support our players instead of kicking them when they are down
