What a dilrod...man, why are you even on here? What else would we talk about? This is a place to brag about your teams. If nobody ever bragged about pre-season stuff, half of the news media would be out of a job and ESPN would not exist. All of the excitement comes from the anticipation of the season and seeing who was correct from the beginning! Duh!

I know I'm VERY partial! but... Ooltewah's got 4 of the fastest guys in the area. -DeWayne Caldwell is obviously the fastest - he just needs to get comfortable out there. -Hunter Hydas is a speedster on the bases. Don't let him bunt down the 3rd base line or in between pitcher and first baseman. -Ryan Williams, please see above. -Kyler Burke is as fast or faster than the two above. Ooltewah should take some bases this year!

Some lefty from CSAS...don't know the name. It was a deep shot...I don't know exactly how far though. The biggest difference in Burke from last year to this year is power. He's a LOT bigger and stronger. He's always been more of a line drive hitter, but this year those fly balls that were outs last year are HRs.

Actually, baseball is different than the NFL. In baseball, players do NOT enter the draft. Any amateur is automatically eligible for the draft (there are specific rules for college players). To sum it up though, Burke's decision to honor his commitment will more than likely depend on where he is drafted. Not sure though. Some players want to go to school and put that before playing pro ball. Honestly though, if I'm a betting man, Burke will NOT be the only Owl drafted this year.

I think Central will actually have a surprising year. They're not going to be 30-5 or anything, but they'll win some games. I even think they've got a shot to cause some trouble in the district. Can't wait for it to start!! Go Owls!

It's not my place to say who is calling who as far as recruiting goes... But the following Owls should sign with someone: Burke, McDade, Woods, Hydas, Markum, Howard....

Ooltewah 14 ND 0 Ooltewah 13 CSAS 1 Ooltewah scored 45 runs in 4 games - gave up 1 earned run...5 total runs. Pitching looked good...threw 3 sophomores and a couple juniors. This run support is great - looking forward to playing McCallie in one of the tourneys! McCallie could swing it! I saw.
