  1. 10:30 left in second quarter... Ooltewah 14, Farragut 0
  2. Hey thanks Rigger! Nothing like the good 'ole days on CoachT! Of course I'm rooting for my Owls, but I won't say it's going to be easy! I think at this point it goes either way! I like the Owls home field advantage in this one! It would be even more crowded, but I bet a lot of neutral fans will be at Maryville/Red Bank! Anyways, my bro and I will both be there tonight! Go Owls!
  3. Ok, so I couldn't resist....dude, chill out...it's not being cocky...if it were players, then it would be cocky...you're dealing with fans, most of whom are only trying to tick you off! Congrats fellow Owl fans! You've gotten FHS Admiral's panties in a wad!
  4. FHS Admiral, I'm a pretty reasonable and objective CoachT poster as of late. After I graduated high school I spent most of my CoachT time just reading, not posting. But your arguments aren't even worth reading anymore..that's why I'm replying to this post on Page 7 out of about 10. Above you said, "For whatever you think it's worth"....it's not worth anything at this point in the season. Farragut and Ooltewah are just about as evenly matched as it gets in high school football. Ooltewah gets a small advantage because of being able to host this game, however I know Farragut fans will travel well. Do yourself (and me) a favor and quit trying to argue with some of these Owl fans. There are just as many arrogant and ignorant Admiral fans as there are Owl fans. This is CoachT....people are supposed to be biased and homers! You're just showing that it's actually getting to you! So Farragut has a few more playoff appearances.....last time I checked, you got the same ring for losing in the semi-finals as you do not even making the playoffs! Go Owls! Grad
  5. Who cares???!?!?!? It doesn't matter which back is better..the Owlfan that started this thread shouldn't have...you'l end up eating crow making comments like one back should carry another's jock strap. Grow up and talk about things that matter...the team with the best back isn't necessarily going to win this game! Go Owls!
  6. According to www.MadFriars.com 24. Kyler Burke, OF For the first time perhaps ever, Burke struggled with his bat. His confidence wavered and he never got it on track throughout the year, putting undo pressure on himself in a lineup that collectively hit .290. He does, however, possess all the intangibles to be a top talent. Burke has a consitent swing and an unrelenting work ethic to go along with a great attitude to right the ship - and soon. He has too much talent not to. If he can stay back in his swing and maintain his balance Burke should see quick dividends. 7. Congrats to the Govs! During region play, us down here at Ooltewah can't stand William Blount...BUT....it's one of those things like I can pick on my brother, but you can't...Region 2 pulls for Region 2! At Ooltewah a loud cheer went up when the score was announced. WB is a heck of a football team - one that I would not want to play again if I was Ooltewah! or Farragut for that matter! ---I have to give credit to ImaOWL for this quote: "DB won't win by 25.... WB has a pretty darn good defense. Look for a low scoring game." ---And then the response by FBEmeritus: "Good Defense in your mind maybe but not in my opinion. They give up over 16 points per game and only shut three teams out during the year. Those three teams are 4-26 combined! DB has averaged about 34 points per game while only allowing less than a TD per game. Yes DB by 25. I know you Owl fans hope WB can pull off this upset and I would also like my Blount Co neighbors to get it done as well but I don't think it will happen." Anyways, congrats to the Billy Blount Govs! and Go Owls!
  8. I don't have a brother playing this year, but I might have to drive to the Boro to catch a few of these games! Can I grab a chair next to you, David??
  9. Oh my Wildmanfan how your posts fill me with joy and laughter. Your response is littered with denial! Oak Ridge's rich high school football history is one that anybody would be proud of and everybody would want! But the fact of the matter is we are currently in 2006. One championship, nine championships, an undefeated season, etc has absolutely no relevance to this discussion or my post for that matter. "...but then again you wouldn't know anything about that would you?" is very explicit in displaying your anger and hatred you have trapped inside! I'm also still trying to grasp your meaning behind my football career? I missed how we went from talking about the 2006 playoffs right on over to Oak Ridge's history and my football career????? This is 2006 baby! The mighty Owls might even lose this week.....but they've got two things NOW that Oak Ridge will NEVER have NOW....a region championship AND a first round playoff game. Oh, and an all-time winning record over those Oak Ridge Kittens! Go Owls!
  10. I haven't even read the rest of your post yet, but I HAD to get this reply in about the first part! Notice I said "color man" when I mentioned the radio announcer. DCCATVOICE (or whatever his name is on here) could possibly be the BEST radio announcer in the state. Please understand I only meant the guy that would get his two cents in every few seconds...and specifically at the end of the game.
  11. I sense some frustration and sour grapes from WildmanFan!! Kinda sounds like their color man on their radio broadcast!!
  12. Go Owls! Obviously at this point in 5A playoffs any team can win. But Ooltewah is tough...they get to play at home in front of a guaranteed standing room only crowd, they have a very experience coach who will make sure they're prepared and not overlooking Science Hill, the skills players are plentiful and good! So...I will predict an Ooltewah victory.... Ooltewah 41, Science Hill 13

  15. I'll take DB for the championship! Riverdale won't make it past quarters..
  16. Just noticed you are now a PLUS member ImaOWL! bout dang time! Welcome!
  17. I know the Owls did not dominate like they have thus far...but I don't care if what team it is...23-6 is a good win...especially over a traditional power like Oak Ridge....and the guy was very critical of Ooltewah rushing the field.... Give me a freakin break man, they just clinched a Region 2-5A regular season championship!!! Is it not ok to be just a little excited?? Especially for a team that has 18 new starters?!?!?
  18. I agree with you ImaOWL. I think it says a lot about this Owl program...there's no denying that last years' individual talent was very impressive..maybe more than Ooltewah has ever had at once. It's unfortunate that their senior season had to be with a brand new coach...but it also gave these young guys a chance to not only get acquainted with a new coach, but they got to practice and play with some great players. I am surprised that they're probably going to be 10-0, but before the season I said 8-2. That's still impressive considering there are 18 "new" guys on the field. Go Owls Go! Keep on rolling!
  19. 3 years ago Ooltewah went 3 - 7....now they're 9 - 0.....last year Oak Ridge played in the state championship game....they're down this year, but they'll be back... get over it...it's basketball time in oak ridge!
  20. Neither one is even close to being in the top 5 all time, so get over it...
  21. I tihnk they are! Oak Ridge is out... 1. Ooltewah 2. Farragut 3. McMinn Co 4. William Blount ...at least for this week....
  22. Good job Owls! Oak Ridge drove down and scored on the first drive...and didn't hardly sniff a first down the rest of the way... Before I say this next part, I really do respect Oak Ridge..they've got an incredible program with a great history. If they were 0-9, it would be great to beat them! It kind of cracks me up listening to this one online...the play-by-play guy is great. He's been a very good announcer and very NON-biased..but this color man is killing me...he keeps saying how Ooltewah is "ok" but not a "great" team. And then how Ooltewah rushed the field after beating a 5-3 team...and how they would not do that against Heritage...yes, they do that against Heritage...wait, now he's saying what a great program Oak Ridge has had, and that Ooltewah is just now on the rise...and that he's basically implying that in 60 years they won't have a super power program like Oak Ridge has had... Oh well, too bad this season is played this year and not in 60 years. The last 6 meetings: Ooltewah 4, Oak Ridge 2! I will be pulling for Oak Ridge next week against Farragut though!
