White House looks better with each game ! Keep it up girls. Congrats!!!

NOMOORE, You must have skipped over the compliments paid to Jamison, Roberson, and Greenwade on White House's team. As far as someone using my computer, does that really make them related to me? Could just be a fan of White House High School, couldn't I, or even a friend of Edgar and the rest of the team. You should go back and read all of my post before making such accusations. Last year I had a huge "blow out" with another user over the mistreatment of Roberson at one of the White House games. And no, I'm not her mom either. Finally, the biggest question of all.....Why do you even care who I am and why are you worried if I am not kin? That puzzles me more than anything else. You being so offended at my compliments of Edgar's play makes me wonder if your a parent of White House whose daughter I overlooked. If so, accept my apology. I'll try and remember to name the entire roster next time. This issue seems very petty. Have a great weekend! First of all, I have no idea what your problem is?! This thread concerns Ferris and what a great player she is going to be. Secondly, I am not Jesse's mom, dad, sister, brother, or any other family member. I have seen Ferris play one time and was simply commenting on how impressed I was with her going up against a strong senior player. I am regularly amazed at how people can so quickly assume to know so much from so little info. I guess every newspaper article ever written about good players also had to be the parent writing it, and every post on Coach T commending good players had to be written by the players parent, using many different user names. I'll assume something for a moment as well, like......jealousy or fear of tonight's game. Could be wrong though, like you were, Jana. Practice, practice, practice and someone will be posting threads on how good you are, too.

Size doesn't always matter, but the 6'8 (Ferris), is a big factor in the game. She isn't just tall. She is quick, agile, and is very disciplined under the basket. White House beat Smith County, only because Jesse Edgar, White House's 6'3 player, has lots of experience defending big girls. She goes up against that kind of size all summer in AAU ball. Experience and being well coached makes a much bigger impact in the game than size. Ferris will be incredible as she continues to mature in the game. She is very impressive to watch, especailly considering she is only a freshman. She is also very humble and a great sport. She fouled out and sat down with class, unlike one of the other Smith County players, who proceeded to kick her chair around out of anger. For whatever reason, in high school ball, the refs seem to call fouls on the "big" girls very quick, while allowing the smaller girls to "hack away" on the big players. Any team that faces Smith County should come prepared to respect Ferris's contribution to the game. I wish her the best and look forward to watching her improve over the next few years. Add to the list: Ferris at Smith County High School. She is a freshman at 6'8. I read in one game she had 38 points. I saw her play last night and was very impressed. The only reason she didn't score much last night, was because of the next name on the list. Ferris has a great future ahead of her. She is tall, quick, and very disciplined on the court! Edgar at White House High School. She is a senior at 6'3. I have watched her play over the years, and she one of the strongest defensive players I've seen. Edgar is tall, quick and very agile. She also has good ball handling skills for a girl her size. She had 17 points last night against Ferris. It was experience over size in that game. Both girls are vital assets to their teams.

Tierney Jenkins, Anne Marie Lanning, Tara Davis, Jesse Edgar, Mandy Mendenhall, and Dawn Evans are all at the top of their game and all played together for Tennessee Team Pride over the years. These girls are so well coached all year, in school and AAU, and it shows. Team Pride has alot to be proud of, as do all of these girls. Tennessee Team Pride was named the top AAU Club in the nation this year, and these girls are proof of why! Way to go girls, and keep up the hard work.

White House finally came together last night and pulled off a great win over Smith County. It was a great effort by every girl on the floor on both teams. Ferris, the 6'8 freshman will be a "force to be reckoned with" as she continues to improve. I was so impressed at this players ability at such a young age. The only obstacle in her way last night was Jesse Edgar's experience over Ferris's size. Edgar's defense was the only thing that stopped Ferris from dominating the scoreboard. When Ferris has a couple more years of playing, she will be an amazing player to watch. Edgar had 17 points last night, and White House's Jamison followed close behind her with several 3 pointers. This was the best game I have seen White House play. Edgar, Jamison, and Roberson worked hard the entire game, and it payed off. Both of these teams played with class and respect for one another. I watched Edgar and Ferris, after the game, congratulating each other on their efforts. It was a great example of how athletes can respect each others ability and effort, irregardless of who won and who lost. Congratulations to both teams!!!

AGREED ! HERE ARE A FEW REASON'S WHY: MIKE BARRETT, MATT PARKER, THE "D" TWINS, CHAD NEAL, CODY ALLEN, JEFF EDGAR, BRIAN DICKSON, AUSSIE LIGHT, TROX GREENWADE, AND SEVERAL MORE TO BOOT!! CAN'T WAIT TO WATCH IT!

THE TEAMS ALL SEEM EVENLY MATCHED, AS EACH HAS ONE OR TWO STRONG, KEY PLAYERS. IN REGARDS TO WHITE HOUSE, GREENWADE AND ROBERSON NOT ONLY HAVE TO BE CONSISTENT, THEY HAVE TO HAVE EDGAR ON THE FLOOR AS WELL. TWO YEARS AGO, WHEN EDGAR DID NOT PLAY THEY WENT 1-24. LAST YEAR THEY WERE 20-9. THIS WEEKEND'S TOURNEY EDGAR PLAYED LESS THAN 2 QUARTERS AND HAD ALMOST HALF THE POINTS. THE GAME WAS A BLOW OUT UNTIL THEY GOT EDGAR IN. SHE IS VITAL TO THEIR TEAM WITH HER DEFENSE. ON OFFENSE, SHE IS USUALLY DOUBLE TEAMED, WHICH IS GREAT FOR ALLOWING GREENWADE TO SCORE. THEY WORK WELL TOGETHER. WHITE HOUSE HAS TO FIX THEIR POINT GUARD POSITIONS, AS ROBERSON CAN'T DO IT BY HERSELF ALL YEAR. WHEN YOU HAVE TO HAVE YOUR 6'3 PLAYER BRING THE BALL DOWN, THERE IS A PROBLEM. I KNOW THE COACH FOR WHITE HOUSE AND I BELEIVE HE IS DOING HIS BEST TO WORK THIS OUT. I HEAR EDGAR IS ALSO PLAYING WITH 2 INJURED DISC. HOPE SHE CAN STAY HEALTHY ENOUGH TO PLAY ALL SEASON. I NEVER MEANT TO INSULT YOU OR ANYONE ELSE FOR THAT MATTER. I WAS EXPRESSING MY CONCERN FOR THE PLAYER AND HER FAMILY DURING THAT PARTICULAR GAME. IT REALLY WASN'T THAT BIG OF A DEAL. I HATED THE UNEASINESS I SAW IN HER MOM. WE, MEANING THE GIRLS WH TEAM, HAVE YET TO PLAY ANY TEAM THAT EVERY GIRL DIDN'T DEMONSTRATE GOOD SPORTSMANSHIP. THE COACHES FOR EACH TEAM HAVE ALSO SHOWN GREAT CLASS AND HAVE LED BY EXAMPLE FOR THE GIRLS. I HAVE "MISSED THE MARK" IF I EVER IMPLIED THAT OUR FANS ARE PERFECT. THAT IS FAR FROM WHAT I WAS TRYING TO EXPRESS. IF YOU ARE A COACH, I ADMIRE THE HARD WORK AND DEDICATION THAT IT TAKES TO LEAD A TEAM OF HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS. I FELT LIKE THAT WAS SOMETHING COACH MATHIS WOULD HANDLE HIMSELF AFTER THE GAME. ANYWAY, I AM SO PROUD OF WHITE HOUSE GIRLS AND THE CLASS THEY HAVE SHOWN THIS YEAR AND LAST YEAR. THEY ARE CHAMPIONS IN MY EYES!!

AGAIN, EVERY LOSE IS NOT THE OFFICALS FAULT. WHEN YOU POST THESE KINDS OF MESSAGES IT ONLY TAKES AWAY FROM THE HARD WORK OF BOTH OF THESE TEAMS. IN EVERY GAME, ONE WILL WIN AND ONE WILL LOSE. DCA IS A GOOD TEAM AND SO IS WHITE HOUSE, BUT AT THE END OF THE GAME THE SCORE IS WHAT IT IS. THAT WAS A GREAT GAME AND BOTH TEAMS DESERVE ALOT OF CREDIT. THE CHARGE FOULS WERE QUESTIONABLE, BUT WHAT CALL ISN'T, DEPENDING ON WHICH SIDE OF THE GYM YOUR ON. I AM A WHITE HOUSE FAN AND WOULD HAVE LOVED TO SEE THEM WIN, BUT DCA DESERVED THE WIN. THE TIME RAN OUT AND THEY WERE AHEAD. THE ONLY PROBLEM I HAVE WITH DCA IS THE FANS AT THAT GAME. THEY ABSOLUTLY RAGGED MEGAN ROBERSON EVERY TIME SHE TOUCHED THE BALL. IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN STOPPED BY ATLEAST ONE ADULT THAT WAS WITH THAT TEAM. I SAT NEAR HER MOTHER AND IT SEEMED VERY CRUEL TO DO TO A YOUNG LADY TRYING HER BEST TO DEEP IT TOGETHER UNDER THAT KIND OF PRESSURE. SHE DIDN'T DESERVE THAT FROM ANY FAN, MUCH LESS AN ENTIRE SECTION OF FANS. DOES ANYONE REALLY THINK THAT TEACHES SPORTSMANSHIP? I FELT BAD FOR HER AND HER FAMILY. IT TOOK THE FUN OUT OF THE GAME FOR THEM ALL. THAT KIND OF BEHAVIOR IS NOT ALLOWED AT WHITE HOUSE BY JEFF CORDELL, AND I DON'T THINK MANY OF OUR PARENTS WOULD STAND BY AND WATCH IT EITHER. DCA IS A PRIVATE, CHRISTIAN SCHOOL THAT PRAYS BEFORE EACH HOME GAME,( WHICH I REALLY ENVY) BUT THAT IS A SAD REPRESENTATION OF WHAT THEY SHOULD STAND FOR. AS FAR AS THE TWO TEAMS, THOSE GIRLS ALL RESPECT EACH OTHER FOR THEIR INDIVIDUAL ABILITIES. THAT IS SOMETHING WE FANS CAN ALL STAND TO LEARN FROM THESE PLAYERS. JESSE EDGAR HAS NOTHING BUT RESPECT FOR #24, WHO STOOD HER GROUND POSTING UP AGAINST HER, AND I BET THE OTHER PLAYERS WOULD TELL YOU THEY FEEL THE SAME. PARENTS (FANS) SHOULD TRY AND ACT AS THOUGH EVERY GIRL ON THE FLOOR IS THEIR OWN OR ATLEAST REMEMBER THAT THEY ARE SOMEONES. BOTH OF THESE TEAMS WORKED THEIR TAILS OFF IN THAT GAME AND THAT IS ONE THING NO ONE CAN DISPUTE. CONGRATULATIONS TO DCA AND WHITE HOUSE.
