I agree! I think Brandon will get it turned around in time! What was the deal with not blowing the whistle until the kid from A'ville ran the fumble back about 95 yards? It would be nice if A'ville started a streak of wins against selmer high school. Will try to see a game at the end of the year to see how much they improve.

I don't know what battle you saw Friday night! The only thing I saw was a sloppy football game played by two very bad teams!!!

They return 4 starters on offense & defense. They have good size;Matt Warren(FB/LB,5'11"-220), Line(Andrew Maraman(5'10"-243), B.J. Jewell(6'2"-257), TE/DE,Brad Mangrum(6'2"-211)! Last region title was in 1990. Should be a good game. I believe Adamsville is the quicker team, but it won't matter if the mistakes continue. They played a much bigger and stronger Hardin Co. team pretty even last week after settling down. If A'ville will come into this game focused and hold onto the ball good things can happen!

You better enjoy it! You need to consider who they were playing though! It is not the type of competition I would want to guage my team against. I do believe that when Brighton(Cardinals) & JCM(Cougars) come to the mosquito infested woods they will show Savannah a good ole BUTT WHOOPIN. HA!HA! Just kidding. Hope Savannah gets a playoff game at home. I enjoy watching them play when they are'nt playing my A'ville Cardinals!

I am from A'ville. I go to all the games if I am not working. I went to school with Sambo and Danny Combs. I helped Danny out on the sideline for a year back in 1993. We took a few licks back then being in the same region with Milan, Westview & Trenton. Do you play?

The last time Adamsville & Hardin Co. met in the regular season was 1992 with Adamsville winning 8-6 in overtime. They played each other in the Chester County Jamboree in 2002 with Adamsville coming out on top 15-14. This game will take ball control on Adamsville's part. Don't make the same dumb mistakes on scoring drives. Hold on to the ball like it is the winning lottery ticket. Be in position, make your blocks and use leverage; stand those big blockheads up on their heals. Read the defense: if they crowd the line throw it over them, if they play back some run it down their throats. If you are making a tackle watch the guys waist not his feet or his shoulders or you will get burned! I hope A'ville will put together their best game yet. I will be there.

I believe in all honesty that Westview will be to much for McNairy. Guy knows how to run & where to run. He is faster coming off the line than he is in open field. By the time anyone gets a fix on him though he is already 10 yds in front of them. He is .3 tenths of a second faster than Will Browder of Adamsville. I don't think McNairy can beat them, but if they will use every second of the clock they can(wait till the ref starts his final 5 second count) before snapping the ball and assign somebody to hit guy on every play whether he has the ball or not you can at least aggrivate the tar out of them. Stranger things have happened.

He tore his knee up in Gleason in 1983. We were playing in the mud from a rainstorm earlier that evening. He tried to cut & his cleat stuck. Sambo is on the chain gang @ A'ville & probably reminded them about that @ the McNairy game! They didn't have the same technology then repairing knees so instead of playing for Bear Bryant @ ALABAMA, he went to UT Martin for a year. Doctor told him if he took a bad enough hit he might not walk right again. He now works for PEC.

What is a bogus turnover? Are they supposed to give you the ball back if you apologize for fumbling or throwing an int.? Bogus turnovers! That was a loser statement if I ever heard one!

The only thing I can say is that you seem very young & immature! You need to get your facts straight first! It has been 21 years since we beat Selmer(mchs)! Selmer has not won 21 straight. They didn't play for two or three years thanks to Jay Thaxton being one of the worst coaches ever @ Selmer. You were in diapers when he was there. The Coach(Joe Bridges) that was at A'ville then is now the Principle & Athletic Director @ Ripley High School. He also has a State Finals trophy in baseball from A'ville & a State Title @ Ripley. The only reason Selmer & Adamsville still play each other is for the gate money & the travel expense is very little. Now you know why they are playing Hardin County$$$! I am glad they still play though. Some scores from my high school days might interest you:1981-AHS 15--MCHS 6, 1983-AHS 27--MCHS 14, 1984-AHS 17--MCHS 15(McNairy was ranked 4th in the state @ the time of this loss! Coach Browder was there for the first two wins. Can't say I or anyone else was sad when he left. Joe Bridges was there my last year that we beat them. As far as the other sports go since 1990 Adamsville has won 3/4 of the meetings especially in basketball. I noticed that MCHS got whipped and outcoached last Friday night. Expect more of the same this week when Westview runs for about 300 yards. I don't think it will be less than 35-0! Granted, Hardin County should win Friday night. They are bigger, a little more physical & they are supposed to win. On the other hand they are slow, they throw the ball to the wrong team once every three passes and Adam Milligan fumbles alot or at least he used to. The only good team they have played this year spanked them just like Brighton & JCM will. So if HC plays a great game Friday night they should win because they are supposed to; but if they don't it could be a good one. Good luck with your golf game and tell bobcat67(B.R.) to play hard all the way!!

Just a few words Houston Co.: Can you say SMASHMOUTH???????? Adamsville will Pound the ROCK, Throw the ROCK & then make you eat the ROCK with that tenacious, nasty, swarming smashmouth DEFENSE!!! Oh! I forgot to mention this part: They are Faaaaasssssstttttt!!!!!!!!!!

I was @ the game last night and still can't believe what happened. If that is what the coaches decided, then that is it. I can't imagine how disgusted the boys from A'ville are. If they play with that same intensity and eliminate the mental mistakesit might be pretty ugly on the scoreboard for Houston Co.! I've waited to see what kind of team they would have this season and it looks like I found out in A'VILLE Friday nite. I guess you might say: "THE RED RAGE IS BACK IN TOWN"

One of the players dad said coach Browder is having his gall bladder removed tomorrow(Sat.). Prayers to him and his family. I went to the game tonite and the only thing I can say is I have never seen a team dominate a game the way Adamsville did on both sides of the ball and still lose. Mental mistakes cost Adamsville at least two touchdowns, maybe three. A bad choice by the Adamsville QB to throw the ball when he was being sacked led to McNairys' only score(int. return for td). I think McNairy was held to only one first down if they had that many. It is a shame they were not allowed to finish when other schools were allowed to wait it out and resume playing when the storm had passed. I don't know if Adamsville is better than everyone thought or if McNairy is that bad. I guess we will know after next week. The good thing about tonite is safety was the first concern and noone got hurt in the game. I believe if Adamsville can eliminate the mental mistakes they will have a good season. Bobcat 67, I hope you have a good season that is injury free.

Why don't you people grow up? You act like your still in the 11th grade! Nobody gives a crap if fairyview beats Adamsville or not! Neither one of you are going to win the state; so who cares? Would be the talk of the night though if they could pull off the upset! What the heck! GO CARDINALS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
