  1. What some fun reading? Go to the TSSAA website and read the bylaws starting on page 13. http://www.tssaa.org/Handbook/handbook I do not know the actual rule about being in the same building or having the same principle. But my daughter went to a local private school that has middle and high school on the same campus but in seperate buildings and she was able to play varsity softball as an 8th grader.
  2. HHS did a great job. With 58 or 60 teams, a rain threat and all those soccer nuts the park was packed. Someone tell Ken Meek thanks for all his help. But, what's up with the white balls. The lights on Field #7 are closer to "mood lights" than anything else and then trying to see a dirty white (I guess that would be called brown) ball at night on that field was down-right dangerous. While I'm at it, the new back entrance out to V.Veterans Parkway is great!!!
  3. I really don't think the intention of sbt was to insinuate anything bout nobody. And I don't think coach c has anything to do with this. For my 2 cents - I think when u get a rep for hittin batters and then hit 4 in one game people are going to do a little yappin. Just drop it n move on. When do they play again?
  4. Does that mean that Hickman County is out?
  5. I have to disagree. I think when it comes down to tournament time every weakness is magnified. Getting past Brentwood and Centenial will be difficult. Every walk or passed ball will come back to haunt the red team this spring. I pick HC to finish 3rd or 4th in the tournament. 6/14/2004 update - Sorry to bring this up but my original post was right on target. Also, based on the talent at Brentwood and Centenial, I think the same results will happen for the next couple of years. But, I believe in giving credit where credit is due - HC has really improved their program and that is great.
  6. Well, every radar gun tells a different story. But, Club K uses the same one on every pitcher they have. Britney Johnston is at the top of the board at 67 mph, no one else is close. I agree with NB that Megan Rhodes looks like the fastest when you are the one holding a bat. Amber's style makes batters think more about running for cover more than swinging the bat. All three are fun to watch (as most batters do)!!! There's a 13 year old hard thrower that plays for some local travel team that will be a freshman next year. Bet she makes this list next year!
  7. I know of a great private school in Brentwood that is very well known for their athletics and academics. They could use a few softball players, the well is starting to dry up. Think about it - great school, great academics, four year starter! May cost you a few bucks for tutition.

Who is the battery at LC? Were they together last year?
  9. Do you mean the 'best' or just the one you hated to face the most? I don't know about the best but J Wright from Ezell had a mean steak. 67 mph and not afraid to hit you in the head. Second at bat and your legs were jelly!!!
