  1. I am going to have to disagree with lcsoccer. I do beleive Catholic can make a long postseason run if they play hard, but I doubt very much that it will be due to Evan, Houbre, or TJ. Indeed, as most educated people know, the key to the Irish success this year can be attributed to two factors. The first of these is Coach Beardsley. With his ever present wit and sarcastic drive, he has been both an educator of soccer and morality to the young Fighting Irish squad. On a side note, his red goatee has also caught on as a fashion trend among the Irish in recent weeks. The second key to Irish success is their dangerous and goal hungry striker, Michael "The Michael" Peirce. His nappy hair and goofy stride will no doubt lull his opponents and doubters to sleep, or at least into uncontrolable fits of laughter, upon which he will capitalize by scoring at least once for every four shots he puts through the uprights. Yes, the irish have a lot to smile about this year. Keep up the good work and much love to Danimal, Pork chop, Caveman, Nappy Roots (Mike and Evan), Terence, and Jamal. Don't worry Houbs, I didn't forget about you. You still stink at life. Signed~ The World
  2. Well as interesting as your post was NDalum it still does not change the fact that he did encourage his teams to play dirty at least against my team. It was obvious that he did not have control over his team. I have no idea what went on behind the scenes regarding parents and other issues but he as well as his team lost control against us causing them to be less competitive. As for the idiot comment, I;m sorry if it offends you that your old coach lost his cool but in no way am I making stuff up. I saw him lose his temper as bad or worse than the players on the field. Get a grip man.
  3. I am going to have to disagree with the comments about the good coaching of Blake Martin. In my experience playing against Notre Dame, the team crumbled in almost every game because they decided they wanted to fight rather than play soccer. Martin seemed to encourage this behavior, egging his players on when they would start taking cheap shots at the players on my team. As a result we beat Notre Dame fairly easily in most of the games we played against them. Had he at least tried to keep his team under control, I feel they would have provided a much stronger opponent.
  4. I would like to take this opportunity to clue the Tennessee soccer community into perhaps the most underrated player in the state. Leight Bailey is the Knoxville Catholic Franchis player. He's definately got skills in the trunk. With lightning fast reflexes and dominating skill, Leigh very well may lead Catholic to a state championship. Indeed, leigh is the franchise both on and off the soccer feild. In his spare time, Leigh enjoys long romantic walks on the beach and sunsets. You can often find him on the corners of magnolia avenue. Leigh we are all behind you as you lead our Irish to victory!!!! Furthermore, Houbre stinks at life.
