That kid is dynamic & explosive! I hope his performance vs Huntland earned him a starting spot if he didnt already have one. He is going to be a handful these next 3 years.

Lol, I know you. Keep in mind there are a ton of schools that are D1. I dont know how many soph MC plays on defense. MC is a great team. They have athletes everywhere. Johnson was the middle school MVP in our district which includes most LC schools. 2,000 yds and 20 TDs in his 8th grade year. I think that will translate well in his Jr & Sr season. I think these next 2 seasons he will be a force in both the running game and passing game. I believe Huntland has a promising soph QB prospect in the cut that will be able to open up their passing attack the next 2 years. Johnson will benefit from that I think but I could be completely wrong. Just my personal thoughts.

The wingback that had the long td run vs SP is a sophomore. Great athlete. D1 talent.

He gets very few opportunities to showcase his abilities though.......

Huntland will only go as far as Stewart can take them. Gotta give your best player the ball....Johnson is a threat and has all district talent but is only a sophomore. The McCurry Wing T has always lived off the over indulgence of the TB position. I personally find it fascinating that Coach Reed is reviving his program using some of McCurrys influence and ideologies. I believe Coach Reed knows in order to win this game he will have to attempt more passes. In my opinion, unless there's an advantage to placing 4th.....

No player in the district is as dominate as Kolbi Stewart. None. Corntown and MC have really great players too but they also have the threat of a passing attack, which takes a major load off their teams backs. Big difference in my opinion.

Rain didnt stay but Stewart ran the G all night long, straight at the MC weak side DE. MC still has serious DE issues.

2 of the most impressive jump cuts I've seen in a long time in 1 rush. Definately the most quick twitch kid on the field last night. I was proud to see the McCurry BB Draw from Huntland last night. Watching their offense is, for me, is very predictable but yet very hard to stop. Takes me back to the 90's. Hard offense to stop, even without a passing game.

Stewart had a monster game. Kid is the toughest player I've ever seen come through Huntland. Great hard nosed game.

The winning side? Lol. Nah, my heart will always be Columbia Blue but I have coached some great kids in Royal Blue as well. Hope both teams play well.

If Coach Reeds' guys will execute his McCurry wing t then Huntland will be in the game. Heavy dose of G in all different flavors tonight. If Stewart is 100%, I believe he has the capability to be dominate. MC is talented but anything can happen, especially in this rain.......

They will always have the talent, however it may come. Will the kids respond to coaching and discipline is the only question. Tops in our district as far as God given talent. IMO

Lack of MC run game. ZERO RUN GAME. City has made MC 1 dimensional. I'm really impressed with City Defense tonight. KJ & Isiah have been beasts for City too

MC DE's getting manhandled. It was just a matter of time. #55 for City has declared fatherhood over DE #24.

That could be true as well. Just relaying the info I was given. It is CC that is the replacement. They are the real deal too. Their DE is the truth. Kinda like the SP kid that goes scorched earth on kickoff coverage.

Fyffe would have def challenged the hearts of SP D Line. Their inside run game is not for the weak...... Congrats on the win tonight. Wish you guys well the rest of season.

I work with some people close to Fyffe program and they say SP cancelled this a.m. No reason was given.....
