The Lady Rebels of Stewart County will travel to Marshall County Monday May 16 for a 5:00 game. The team will leave at 12:00 noon from SCHS and travel to Nashville and then down Interstate 65 and will exit on the Lewisburg exit. Lewisburg is east of I-65. If the team wins, they will play Wednesday. The trip will take an estimated 3 hours as the team will take it's time in getting there. The trip is 141 miles away.

Marshall County won 3-1. Therefore, Stewart County will travel to Marshall County Monday, May 16 for a 5:00 game. Stewart County will leave SCHS at 12:00 noon. The winner will advance and play Wednesday night.

District 10-AA Championship Game Today - Wednesday - at 5:30. Stewart County at Creekwood. Game 2, if necessary, will be at 7:00 or so.

Waverly at Stewart County today - Tuesday - at 4:30. Winner travels to Creekwood for district tournament championship on Thursday.

This is not official. However, I think this is right. Please correct this Swamptiger if I am wrong. Tuesday night Sycamore beat Central and Creekwood beat Waverly. Final regular reason standings are: Creekwood 1 Stewart 2 Waverly 3 Harpeth 4 Sycamore 5 Cheatham 6 Central 7 So on Wednesday, Creekwood gets a bye, Central at Stewart, Cheatham at Waverly and Sycamore at Harpeth. For the three losers, the season is over. The winners advance along with Creekwood to the double elimination tournament which starts Friday the different schools, depending on the higher seeds still in the tournament.

District 10-AA coaches meeting tomorrow to iron out details. Nothing has been changed from last year. Lower seeds travel to higher seeds through-out the playoffs. Number one seed gets a bye and automatically advances to double elimination tournament. 7 plays at 2, 6 plays at 3, 5 plays at 4. Losers go home for year, winners advanced to double elimination tournament. Lower of four seeds will play at 1 seed. second lowest plays at second highest. then two winners play, etc. until the field is narrowed down to one champion and one runner up.

The Waverly - Stewart County game was an excellent game, as was the Creekwood - Stewart County game earlier in the week. Both were one run games. In fact, Stewart County has played 6 one-run games in a row (all-district), with the Lady Rebels winning four of them. 5 of those 6 games were decided in the bottom of the last inning.

Last year Stewart County traveled to Sycamore for a double header. Sycamore kept all gate recepits and paid for 100 percent of the umpire bill. Stewart County paid for their own bus. Sycamore did not have to pay for a bus at all as they did not travel to Stewart County last year. This year, Sycamore will travel for a double header. They will pay for their own transportation. Stewart County will pay for the umpires and keep all the gate money. Aditionally, that is one long bus trip that won't have to be made. That's many gallons of gas that won't have to be used up and that's that much less air pollution filling up the atmosphere. We might not save the world, but if everyone just did a little to help...
