we lost to hv and volunteer in the same week. maybe we'll get it going again w/ 5 possible conf games this week.

to all etown players, shut up about state. we have 7 conference games left and baseball is a game to be taken one game at a time so how about concentrating on what he have comming up. to etsportseditor, who are you to say we don't have a chance to make it out of districts? it doesn't matter cause i like people like you, you probably would have said the same thing about a team that ended up 7th in the conference last year but came a hair of winnning district AND region over a loaded unicoi team. with so many make up games to be played the conference is wide open. as far as the tourney goes it can be ANY of the 8 teams on top.

elizabethton is 5-2, we have unicoi2x, north2x, central, hampton, and johnson co.

i was just havin some fun, he actually was runnin and fell and broke his wrist. he is fast though...

gavin dugger for ehs might not be the brightest kid i know but he has wheels--he ran so fast his arm broke.

i don't think charles played baseball during the summer, that along with all the practice he missed while playing basketball might have set him back a little. i think he's playing jv until he gets back in the swing of things. he's a good player and a nice guy, i'm sure he'll be on the varsity when the coaches think he's ready.

Should be some good games in the Watauga this week, I know Elizabethton has 3-at Volunteer, at HV, and against Hampton. What other conf. games are going to be played? Who's gonna keep it goin after the rain hit?

i play for elizabethton and we were supposed to leave at 11 thursday for the tourney, but all thursday's games got cancelled. we might still play friday but it's callin for rain so the whole tournament may be called off. it was a big disappointment for every one of us that can't go and play quality teams, but there isn't anything anyone can do i don't guess unless it stops raining.

their pitcher threw well against us, didn't give up a bunch of hits besides the home run. they hit the ball all night, but it was always at someone. they're a good ball club, don't overlook anyone.

elizabethton-4 johnson co.-3 close game, elizabethton is now 5-0 in the conference. ehs hosts hampton and north monday and tuesday of next week.

we're 6-6, 5-0 conference after tonight's win over johnson co. bj started off the season good against hv after only having one practice, then he fell into a little slump but came out of it today with a hr off the top of the wall at the twins'. defensively nobody could ask for more from him

What teams are playing in the knox area tournament? Are there gonna be some good games/players to watch? Any info on the tournament?

ehs is tied w/ north at first, both 3-0 I believe central has one loss, volunteer has 2, unicoi has at least 2, hv is 0-4, and i don't know much about johnson co. except for they lost to unicoi, and i know hampton has a few losses. etown plays volunteer tuesday and johnson co. on thursday 2 games that should be good and may affect the standings. that's all i know

i'm not one to make any excuses-volunteer flat out played better then we did and so did unaka, they hit the ball well and played great d to win the game and they didn't deserve anything less. money2002 has the right idea though. we have 32 games scheduled this year and when we get into the weeks where we have 6 games younger players have to step up and give the starters a rest so our coach uses the nonconference games to give starters rest and the younger players experience. we don't go into games without our best lineup for an excuse. i wish nobody would say another team sucks, until the season is over don't count anyone out. good luck to everyone else this season

justwatchin, I don't know who posted that, but anyway the Unaka game was a nonconference game-unaka can brag all they want to about it but as long as we play good in our conference we'll be alright. Good luck to Unaka the rest of the season.

elizabethton beats hv for the first time since i can remember score eliz-4, hv-3 ehs moves to 3-0 in the conference hv drops to 0-4 how did the other conference games go, what are the standings?

who wins the central/volunteer game tuesday? what other conf. games are goin on?

what does unicoi look like? who do they have back? how will they do this year?

not to take anything from unaka, they did what they had to do to win-hit the ball and we didn't, but we are one of the better teams in the conference we just need to play like it. we pitched our #4 in order to save some pitching for our conference game vs the valley on tuesday. i think we can beat them and unicoi if everyone gets theyre heads on straight and we play like a team, we'll see tuesday though. hows everyone else in the conference doing?

we're 2-0 conference, north and volunteer got rained out, we beat central 3-0 and hampton 4-3 Hampton is a decent team when they can pitch harrison, i dont know who else they have but i hate playin over there the field isn't the nicest around-on another note we're not rollin anymore whoever put that, we got embarrassed two days in a row by nonconference opponents

db, you all are a great team. you hit the ball extremely well and are a good defensive team and i expect you'll do well this year and good luck. however, i don't know why you have to go on this thread and start talkin smack. i played when we were in your conference, but somethin tells me a school our size shouldn't be playin schools with twice as many students and more. i also pitched the first 2 innings against db in that spring game and it was 1-1 when i came out, had i stayed in the rest of the game i still think you all would have beat us-overall you all are a better team and everyone in elizabethton knows it. you don't have to go around boastin about anything

i play for ehs and believe me the game wasn't postponed because we didn't have bj. he is a big part of our team, but we won 2 conference games without him and if you would have seen the twins field thursday it was underwater. we'll see you all at crockett friday, good luck the rest of the year

The valley, north, unicoi, and central all have great teams and volunteer has potential to be a sleeper team, but watch out for elizabethton cause we finished 2nd in the region last year and are sittin 2-0 conference right now. As for BJ, basketball is over now and we are ready to have him back in the lineup.
