  1. Does anyone no the list for the soccer players on the Tennessee All-Star Team that will play Georgia on June 16th.
  2. Central won 5-1. Jake Heath scored 2 times and had 2 assist. Cody Bull had 1 and Josh Kimberlin had 2. It was a very clean game on both teams part. Central will play Boyd next Tuesday at Boyd. It should be a good game, Boyd won in the regular season 1-0 .
  3. The score was 3-2 Central. Hector Jaramillo scored all three goals. Jake Heath assisted on all three goals. The Heath kid has only played in 4 games. I think he was in a bad car wreak before the season. He has 2 goals and 8 assist. They are still not very good but he makes a big differance and he will battle till the end. He is by far there best player. They only scored 5 goals before his return and 11 after against Grace, Sweetwater, Boyd and CSAS.
  4. Hey staynskool I think the McMinn schools do play the best teams in the area. McMinn Central played 6 of the top 10 teams in the Chattanooga area and the Heath kid still scored goals and had plenty of assist. McMinn played at least 3 plus Bearden and Price still scored at least 2 per game.
  5. Here are the best from the McMinn County area taken from the Chattanoogan last year. Name School Goals Assist Jared Price McM Co 24 5 Jake Heath McM Cent 17 18 This kid is hurt and will not play till April. Andy Slack McM Co 7 12 Nick Shaver McM Co 10 4
  6. McMinn Central defeated Grace Academy 1-0 to win the District 5 A/AA title. Jake Heath scored the winning goal from a shot that deflected off of a Grace defender with 4 minutes left in the second half.
  7. McMinn Central beat Sweetwater in a penalty kick shootout. Billy Roberts scored in the second half to make it McMinn Central 1-0. Ryan Bivens scored for Sweetwater to tie it just before the half to send it to overtime. In the first half of the overtime Jake Heath scored for McMinn Central to put them in the lead.Ryan Bivens scored again in the second half of overtime to send it to sudden death. Neither team scored in the 2 sudden death overtimes to send it to penalty kicks. Both keepers stopped shots to send it to penalty kick sudden death. Chris Hoy stopped the second shot then Mikey Price won it on the next kick for McMinn Central. McMinn Central will play Grace Academy in the final Friday at 7pm at Sweetwater. Grace defeated Walker Valley in a penalty kick shootout also.
  8. Here is another way to look at the top players in the area. I took the top ten scorers and added 2 ratios that take in the total game. The last 2 numbers (higher is better) do not rely so much on just goal scoring. It calculates for actual games played and gives equal billing to assist (because an assist equals a score in a real game). This calculation gives a little credit to the guys who work there tails off to get the ball to the forward positions. As you can see all of these guys are valuable to there teams. These players are most likely in the top 20 in the area. I think there are at least 10 other players who are defenders that do not show up on a list anywhere that are just as good and valuable to there teams. Name School Goals Assists Games Pts Pts Per/Gm Team Goals Per/Gm Allen Madearis CSAS 25 7 15 57 3.8 2.1 Jared Price McM Co 24 5 15 53 3.5 1.9 Jake Heath McM Cent 17 18 13 52 4.0 2.7 Zach Hughes McM Cent 14 19 13 47 3.6 2.5 Daniel McAlister WV 20 6 14 6 3.3 1.9 Nic Coulter SD 15 3 11 33 3.0 1.6 Josh Caraccio Central 16 1 10 33 3.3 1.7 Elliot Anderson CSAS 8 15 15 31 2.1 1.5 Daniel Strickland Grace 11 6 13 28 1.9 1.3 Drew Courtney CCS 12 4 16 28 1.8 1.0 Pts are calculated as 2 per goal 1 per assist Pts Per/Gm is calculated as pts divided by games played Team Goals Per/Gm is calculated as goals + assist divided by games played.
  9. You should add the kid from McMinn Central Jake Heath. He may not be the best in the area but he is there best all around player and is just a Soph. He played against alot of these guys this year and held his own and he was the second leading scorer in the area. He was the best passer I saw this year. He could have had 25-30 assist if they had players who could finish other than Zach Hughes who should also be considered. How many do they pick for Best of the Preps?
  10. McMinn Central defeated Soddy-Daisy today 3-2. Jake Heath scored and added 1 assist. Zach Hughes and Jonathan Tello also scored. Central ended ther regular seanson at 7-5-1. There first winning record in 3 or 4 years. Jake Heath ended the season with 18 Goals and 15 Assist.
  11. You guys should lay off of Ryan Bivens. I know him and he may not be pretty but he gets the job done. I have seen these guys play club soccer with him Jarod Price and Jake Heath. They are good players who play hard all the time. Some guys on this board have played with them also and know what I'm talking about. Thats 3 guys off of one club team that have at least 17 goals. You could add these guys to the list Andy Slack, Andrew Kimbal,Pat Hinshaw and Nick Shaver who all played club soccer together at on time. But one thing you need to remember these guys are just Fr. and Soph. They will only get better.
  12. Jake Heath McMinn Central 17 goals 14 assist in 11 games. He is a Soph
