  5. The 135 bracket has been re-drawn. In the original bracket, Ryan Trealor (Hv) was in the spot traditionally occupied by the 2nd seed. Jeremy Miller (Gback) should have been placed as the 2nd seed and Ryan Trealor (Hv) should have been placed as the 3rd seed. Still nothing on the 171 draw. /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" />

  7. Or that dumb old headgear ............... what a bother.
  8. Just watched a match from last years Super 32, Robert Dyar (AL) vs Devin Carter (VA) on Flowrestling. They both were wearing wristbands during the match and finished with all fingers attached. So, let me see ................ so far the only good thing about the State Tournament is the Ice Cream. /blush.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blush.gif" />

  11. Bradley, Cleveland one-two in Region 3 By: Gene Henley (Contact) CLEVELAND, Tenn. ??” Friday went pretty much as expected in the Region 3 traditional tournament, as the Bradley Central and Cleveland wrestling teams came out 1-2 going into today??™s action. Bradley??™s Bears sent 12 wrestlers to the finals and are first after day one with 211.5 points, while the Blue Raiders (161 points) will have eight in today??™s finals and six others who could qualify from the consolation rounds. The top three in each weight class qualify for state, with the exception of the 145-pound weight class, in which the top four advance. Bradley??™s Tyler Pitts (103), Ethan Hames (112), Logan Biddy (119), Vince Aguilar (125), Bradley Colbaugh (130), David Graham (135), Randall Taylor (140), Chris Aguilar (145), Gabe Murphy (152), Josh Disney (160), Tucker Bolton (189) and Cody Epperson (285) all reached the championship finals. Disney, who finished third at 152 pounds last season, was seeded third but had the most impressive win of the night, earning a 17-4 major-decision over Cleveland??™s Omar Garcia, who had defeated the Bradley senior during the season. ???Good to have those 12 in the bank,??? Bradley coach Steve Logsdon said. ???We??™ve got two more guys in the consolations. I??™d like to send all 14, but it is a nice feeling to have insurance and have guys with opportunity to score points at state. We just have to make sure we don??™t oversleep the 9 a.m. weigh-ins; we have to take care of the business end of it as well.??? Cleveland had Bryan Alvarado (103), Marvin Lopez (119), Dre Moore (125), Bailey Jones (140), Jesse Jones (171), Max Ofori (215) and Adam Peters (285) reach the finals. Moore was a fill-in for regular 125-pounder Blake Oakes, who was unavailable due to injury. ???It was great to have that many in the finals,??? Cleveland coach Heath Eslinger said. ???To have all of my guys with a chance to qualify is solid.??? Cleveland 145-pounder Isaiah Nichols, who was injured in a semifinal loss to Walker Valley??™s Lindsey Aragon, will still have a chance to qualify today. ???We hope to be able to get him through and let him rest Sunday through Tuesday,??? Eslinger said. Cookeville was third with 100.5 points and will have five finalists: Sean Bowling (135), Ethan Henry (152), Joe Proctor (160), John Salada (171) and Nick White (215). Fourth-place Rhea County, fourth with 40 points, has Nic Fuller (112) and Quinton Carter (130) wrestling in the finals. Today??™s action starts at 10 a.m. with consolations. The finals are slated to begin at 3:30 p.m.
