  1. Yep, It's still Friday night! Gonna be a great game!
  2. Lawrence County has been working all week with two back-up qb's, Junior Dylan King and Senior Antonio Lopez. Both have good feet and great ball control. It will most likely be a game-time decision on who will start for the Wildcats. The Wildcat's usual QB, Franklin Hughes, will have to miss this game after a dispute between him and an opposing player resulted in a 1 game suspension. The Wildcat's offense will have no problem working with a new QB this week.
  3. What's this about the Wildcats have no D? I have to point out that the only 2 touchdowns given up by the Wildcats last Friday against White County were because of the two offensive fumbles. Besides that, they Warriors didn't get within the 20 yard line of the Wildcats'. I think this will be the first real test for the Mustangs this year, and they will be greatly surprised at the Lawrence County team. I believe Lawrence County will hand Loretto their first loss this year and bring them back into reality and the 3-7 record that they are normally used to.
  4. Oh yeah your smooth..the week after the game, you make a prediction after looking at the score..No one will ever know.
  5. Your never as good as people say you are, and your never as bad as people say you are. Many people will be saying that Lawrence County is a bad team after the loss to Columbia. I guarantee that Lawrence County will be working harder than ever this week to regain their pride and be on top of their game this Friday when they face the Bobcats. It really doesn't matter how much scouting was done at the Columbia game, because the Lawrence County team will be totally unrecognizable from the team they had against Columbia.
  6. The uniforms they wore are just for the first few games. They are the throwback jersey's from mid-80's. If you noticed they only had one purple stripe down their helmet too. It's just for the first few games. I guarantee that the same Lawrence County team will not be present at the Cowbell Game.
  7. I believe that Lawrence County will give Columbia a run for their money. I agree with fatfootballfan. Columbia always has a good team, but Lawrence County is pulling together as a team and working hard on and off the practice field. It will depend on who can hang in the game. Lawrence County has less people playing both sides of the ball. I believe this will be a big factor in the game. If Lawrence County doesn't have too many turnovers and plays the way they can, I belive Lawrence County has a great shot at pulling this one out.
  8. The score wasn't kept. When they got there they did like some 7 on 7 for a series of 10-15 plays apiece, and then they did a passing league. Then for 20 plays apiece they did 11 on 11 with 5 plays of each after that of goal line stuff. More like an extended practice session.
  9. De McCall will not be returning for the Wildcats. He was one class short of having the academics to play. I just meant that LC did real well in the scrimmage, and that it will be a great year for Lawrence County.
  10. Yeah, that makes sense being that Riverdale has over 2,000 people enrolled. Lawrence County having just over 1,000. But enough about Riverdale, this is a Lawrence County post. Lawrence County scrimmaged Lewis County tonight with a passing league before the game. Lawrence County did really good. I believe everyone's doubts of how well the Wildcats will perform this year are gone.
  11. Well, Kit Hartsfield is a great player, with great ability. Most everyone was sad to see him leave. But the team did not let it affect them at all. I hope Kit has a great season, but I am sure that his leaving will not affect the Wildcats at all. I know for a fact that they will still have the same heart, and want to win just as bad now as they did with him. They have adjusted, and brought new players in to fill his spot, which did not take much time at all.
  12. 10 points in 3 different games was all that kept Lawrence County from the playoffs last year. They are looking really strong in pre-season practices. Alot of returning starters on the Wildcat defense, including 5'11", 195 lb. Adam Cozart, a 3rd year starter at middle linebacker. They had a great spring scrimmage with Tullahoma and dominated on both sides of the ball. They have a new quarterback in 6'5",190 lb. Franklin Hughes who is showing alot of skills that will help Lawrence County be a major competitor in Region 5-4A in 2004. They are not short of recievers either. They have an outstanding recieving duo of 6'0",185 lb Phillip Gowen and 6'4", 180 lb. Garrett Hughes, who both have showed tremendous talent this pre-season. These things and alot more weapons for Lawrence County will for sure lead them to having a top season for 2004, and most likely leading them to the playoffs.
  13. He had Lawrence County at #5. I believe we will be in the top 4 at least. But no one knows for sure right now, just all guessing...
  14. Not many middle TN fans on this board these days..I thought I'd see how you all thought the 5-4A region would play out this year?
