it blows my mind how kendall cavin can win miss basketball and be put on all state second team.doesn't winning miss basketball mean you're the best player in the state?

dmill10,guess who?you're right some of your biggest blowouts came agaisnt OC.but you can't drop them unfortunately.on my original post i never said covington would lose the region i simply said it would be a close race but then you not only insult OC you down every other team in the region.granted OC doesn't have much tradition but when Coach Hill came in he made the kids do something they had never done before;believe in themselves.unfortunately coach hill left us this year so i don't know how we will fair this coming fall.it's easy for me and you to talk trash on the computer but let's let the kid's on the field do the talking.if covington beats OC and wins the region again and goes far in the state i will be the first to congratulate them because god knows west tennessee sports get's no respect.good luck and may the best team prevail.

now that i've had time to think it over i got some things i got to say.first i remember your state final appearance Portland43 Covington0. you say you hope we keep the same offense anybody who would want to face a offense that averaged 350yards and 35 ppg is out of their freakin mind.i also looked on the TSWA All State team and found only 1 Covington player and he was not a running back so don't talk about how bad you're backs are.we had a mr football finalist who was voted class3a player of the week on 3 separate occasions and honorable mention 4 other times.as a matter of fact we had somebody as a player of the week or honorable mention 8 different times so don't be talking about how weak we are.all this talk about what you've done in the past makes me think you feel insecure about the future.

you know what dmill10 i have to agree with a few things you said. covington has won 30 region games in a row and that is something to be proud of,they are a great team i'm not saying they're not.but you must know all streaks have to come to an end and central may do it,they may not.as far as not being able to catch your backs,i remember and i'm sure your backs do #15 jo key. he had 12 tackles and 4 or 5 for a loss so don't give me that line.and our little qb i believe had about 287 yards so don't give me that line either. and playing 4a and 5a teams all that means is that they've got a bigger enrollment doesn't mean they're better teams.the past is over,nothing but the future ahead so i guess we'll have to see what happens.oh yeah by the way we're not rebuilding;just reloading. big2, i've learned you can never count anybody out and south fulton may not do any good but they have several players back at key positions that could prove to be the difference.

even though i graduated from another school which you can probably tell by my user name i support sf too and to answer your question south fulton will have a great season.go get em RED DEVILS.

AND IF WE PLAY SUCH CRAPPY FOOTBALL THEN WHY COULDN'T YOU STOP IT. i believe the battle for first place will be a dogfight between covington,obion central,and ripley.last year obion central took covington to the wire and might have won if we would've run once or twice instead of passing but we can't dwell on that.ripley and oc had a overtime thriller that won't be forgotten anytime soon.but i've learned anything can and will happen so never count out gibson county,dyer county,or brighton.

i wouldn't neccesarily put dresden last. last year they surprised quite a few teams including taking milan to the limit and if jordan yeley wouldn't have got hurt there's no telling what would've happened.

thanks for the info dawg 198. i hope just like you that we have a coach this time next week b/c if they plan on making any serious changes to the offense they need to start working with the boys right away.i have my fingers crossed that they won't change it too much b/c it would be ashamed to let all that talent go to waste.

Obion Central's fun and gun offense is really fun to watch.They usually use 5 receiver sets and averaged nearly 400 yards and 35 points a game.

What ever happened to that great running back from Humboldt ,Kelcey Williams?

i think obion central has a better than average shot to win class 3a if their new coach sticks to the passing philosophy brought in by coach hill.wes moore threw for 3179 yards and brian kissel received for 1000 of those.they also have four lineman returning on both sides of the ball.

even though he has one more year left wes moore will probably go down as the greatest football player to come out of obion central
