It's that time again! Kyzer's Soccer Centre is holding the 7th Annual Preseason Team Camp. Thanks to all of the teams attending last year, it was a great success!! There are (6) teams that have only been to our camp since their first year of attendance, some for (8) years in a row! If you are not aware of Kyzer's High School Preseason Team Camp at UTC, be prepared for something other than a day care camp. This camp is a different camp with the unique qualities that other camps more or less famous do not include. Each team at Kyzer??™s camp will be coached by a College/University Head Coach (the only camp of its type). The coaches will design their sessions based on the needs of their assigned team. Classroom sessions provide invaluable tools to help players plan their college career. This camp has had excellent results. Many teams from all over the region have attended our soccer centre year after year. This camp was built by coach Kyzer to help in the advancement of soccer in Tennessee and surrounding areas as well as to provide an atmosphere where players can be seen and interact with college HEAD coaches that make the decision on where their scholarship dollars go (assistants do not make that decision). There have been questions from some of you about individuals attending the team camp. Every year we have a lot of individuals that want to be seen by as many college head coaches as possible at camp. We put together as many as three full teams of individual players coming from different areas. You will get the same training and the same amount of matches played. Thanks for the support. It is so important to have coaching peers give their recommendation. There are literally hundreds of camps geared toward quick cash and I'm sure that many of them sound as if they are providing the same service. We are honored every time a team decides to return. Thanks for the questions! 1) Wow, I don't want to forget any schools and we have had so many levels represented. The best thing about this camp is that any level can gain a great deal of experience by coming. Because of so many teams attending we are able to insure that no team is embarrassed by being mismatched or not getting good competition during their two matches a day. Yes Pope John Paul II and Notre Dame attended last year and plan to attend this year as well. We have about seven teams that have attended every since we started the camp. Since the original post we have four teams already committed for this summer. We do appreciate the loyalty of the teams that are returning year after year and are committed to continually improving on a successful camp experience. Any coach wishing for more information may call the soccer office and we will be happy to give you some references of schools that I have permission to give out their phone numbers. I cannot possibly name them all but I will tell you that they work for their money. The high school coach provides us with information on his/her team that is passes on to the head coach of a college that is assigned to them. The staff coach then writes up a sort of lesson plan for the week, sends it back to us for approval, and then on to camp! So you see, not a kiddie camp. Kyzer’s Team Soccer Centre (July 24-28) is for serious players of high school age. Enrollment is based on a first come first served basis. Only 15 teams will be allowed. It is the objective of KTSC to prepare you for your upcoming season. Each team attending will have their own college head coach during the training sessions and matches daily. This camp always fills quickly. It is the ONLY one of its kind. What team doesn’t want a captive audience of over 15 college head coaches watching them train and play everyday! It is a fact that teams who train together longer get better results. It is our goal and your advantage to be physically fit, as well as technically and tactically prepared before your season begins. Training received at KTSC will follow the format of a college preseason program. Teams will sometimes be playing matches twice daily and have technical/tactical sessions directly related to the needs of their team. Each player will receive a notebook and handouts during classroom sessions. There will be lectures on the college process. Classroom session topics will include; “How to be Recruited”, and “The Differences of College Choices”, “Goal Setting”, and “Asking Questions the Right Way”. Players wishing to continue their career in college will receive valuable information to get a step ahead in the recruiting process. This class is a Kyzer Centre exclusive!
