Here is to Coach Campbell and the Lady Blazers for an OUTSTANDING season. At the beginning of the season everyone said they did not have a chance after losing four outstanding players to graduation. Coming off a 30-4 season last year and ending up 28-2 this year is great. Everyone thought Tennessee High would run away with it and by all accounts should have. You just can't underestimate what heart and desire will do. I was at the Greeneville game and I believe both teams struggled mightly at times. It just goes to show that any team can win on any given night. (ask Tennessee High, Crockett beat them). It depends on who steps up when needed and who give it their all. I tip my hat to Jeremy Jenkins and the Sullivan South Lady Rebels. Had injuries not hit them hard the last couple of years thing may have been different in District 1 AAA. Of course we can what if it to death. We just need to remember everything happens for a reason. I'm looking forward to next year so till then happy trails to all.

I don't know what the future holds but I know who holds the future. I think at this point the one thing that will come in to play more than anything is the amount of heart and desire that is left in the Boone girls. Talent is not the most important thing at this point. These girls are use to winning ball games. They don't give up even when down by nine. Their D. will create opportunities for them. It will be a hard fought game.

I'm glad to see such a good responce to this topic. That means that you are paying attention to what's going on. You know we played UC in the summer league the last couple of years and beat them quite handily. UCDADDY you have a right to feel about your team as strongly as you do they are a great bunch of kids. I have watched most of them play the last few years in the AAU & summer league's. There is a great wealth of talent in upper north east tenn. Unfortunately some of it is lost on programs and coaches who don't have a clue. My whole point is what a great opportunity to be in the position the Lady Blazers are in. And as I said before any team can be beaten on any given night. I believe in the Lady Blazers. I think this team has the opportunity to go as far as their belief in themselves will allow. I BELIEVE GO BOONE

Look out Goliath, Here comes David I guess if your not from middle Tenn. then your Basketball program is not worthy of any recognition from anyone. Having said that let me tell you about a group of girls who believe in themselves. It's the same group of girls who stood toe to toe with Oak Ridge on their home floor nearly one year ago and lost by 16 points. In a hard fought Sub-State game. We lost to Oak Ridge in the 2nd quarter, but played even in the other three and yes you have to play an entire game to win. This years starters save one is last years bench. These Girls play as a TEAM not egotistical individuals. There are those who say we play a weak schedule. Maybe so.There are those who say were lucky to be ranked in the state. I disagree. These kids have worked hard. As hard as any team out there. Remember any team can win on any given night. Ask the Tennessee High players and Coach if you don't believe me. We call it DESIRE and HEART. I'm sure there are going to be some of you who will have alot to say about this post while others will just blow it off. But remember you heard it here first. GO BOONE

You don't need a centerpiece when you have a group of young Ladies who believe in themselves and play with Heart like these Ladies do. Besides it takes a TEAM effort. This TEAM will have someone different step up nearly every night. They each know they have a job to do and each Lady knows their roll. GO BOONE

He has done an outstanding job at bringing his team back to where they have been the last couple of seasons. Two years ago they were 26-6 with a District Championship. Last year they were 30-4 while winning the Conference, the District and The Region Championship before a heart breaking loss to Oak Ridge in the Sub-State. And here you are again knocking on the door to another great season. Go Lady Blazers All the way.

Congratulations goes to Ashley Barnett of the Daniel Boone High School Lady Blazers for being voted defensive player of the year by your peers. Congratulations to Coach Tim Campbell and the Daniel Boone Lady Blazers Big 7 Conference Champs, District 1 Champs, Region 1 Champs and a Substate Berth. The TEAM went 30-4. This was a TEAM with no real stand out player. Someone different stepped up almost every night to lead the TEAM. Congratulations to the four graduating seniors.
