Agree, agree, agree. I (as some of you know) am dealing with the same situation. Unless Coach Barfield isn't coaching Motlow anymore or has changed from being an outstanding coach, this girl WILL learn to bunt real soon. This is softball... bottom line. If someone doesn't believe they should have to bunt, they shouln't be playing FASTPITCH softball.

Again, congratulations. I played for C-State and had the best two years possible! They will take care of you there and you will have a great experience. Although Coach Campbell is not as involved as he once was, you will have the honor of knowing one of the greatest role models of all time.

I agree that I did see the game in which you are referring, but I have seen her in action. I have never witnessed abuse nor what I consider inappropriate behavior. I hate that whatever it was happened and that the girls had a rough weekend, but I do believe in the power of the program. I hope everyone in the mid-state does not judge her or the program on this incident..that's all

I have read numerous posts about Chapel Hill softball this year. Being from Marshall County (although I attended MCHS instead of C.H.) I have been around Rocket softball my entire life. It has NEVER been what it is now. Yes, Coach Cheatham is tough on those girls, but they respect her for it. Personally, I believe the ones that do not respect her are the ones that have never been disciplined before. The ones that did quit let them go and move on! If anyone knows Chapel Hill, they have plenty of girls with the talent and drive to slide into any position. I had a tough softball coach in Lewisburg, but I know that without him, I would have never gone on to play at the college level. I now coach High School ball with the knowledge that he taught me. Becky Cheatham is easy to hate because she is so darn good!! Good luck to everyone in 11A. Keep coaching those girls!

I agree with everyone who believes this district is up for grabs. There will be many upsets this season, and I think it will be for the better. This year will have everyone checking out the papers and the website to find out score results. This will be a very exciting year for this district and I wish everyone luck. Go Viqueens! We are hoping to surprise some of you this year!
