Does anybody know anything about the new coach at ut-martin. I understand that he has a good coaching record.

The royals and Nike did not play this weekend.The good thing about this weekend was that Nike was 3-1 vs Memhpis teams and Royals were 2-1 vs Memhpis teams. The royals lost in the sunday morning game to the magic and the royals did not play well and did not get any calls. Nike did not play well friday night vs the magic and lost by 22 pts. They played them again in the championship and beat the magic by 5 after leading by 12 most of the game.

Nike Select #1 Memhpis Magic #2 Nashville Royal #3 Memhpis Elite #4 Memhpis Stallions #5 Lawrenceburg Express #6 All 6 teams go to Nationals in Fla. Nike beat the Memhpis Magic by 5 in championship game.

We don't get to see those teams and nobody ever post anything about them. I f you have information on that area please do so. I listed the 2 memphis teams for that reason because I went by what have been in the past. The information in this thread is only as good as those who share the knowledge. If they will not do so , then we will not know about the memhpis area and the ball players that they have down there. I would hope that you will help in this area.

I would hope that this is not a parent being a parent and if it is remember other people see these games and know what happened when you play someone. Other also know who is a player and who is not. Calvin will be a 2 in high school, plus he will be bigger when its all said and done. Most colleges are looking at 6'3" and bigger now. i talked to a collge coach the other day and he is impressed with the guard play in the state right now. He saw the royal vs nike game and walked away impressed by both teams. he was looking at where the kids are now and what type of coaching they are getting. most players need to know that you never know who is in the stands and why. Also the parents need to know the same . When you sign a kid you sign the whole family in.Baggage will hurt you even if you are good. guys I like these types of threads that have purpose!!!!!!

I agreed with the names also, however I don't have an order or don't like to place them in order because each player does different things for his team .

Do you really think that nike is a bad team? They beat everyone by 20 except the shooting stars.If they are so bad then what about the teams that they beat.

gomab2 I checked and three of the memhpis teams already have bids. 1 from last year and the other 2 from super Q's. How will that play out?

What position does the kid play and what part of the state does he live in? There are several good teams. There are several good coaches that teach and also use an up tempo game.At this level the game is a lot faster because you have more skilled players.

Gomab2 This 14u should be a great tournament .All 8 teams can play on this level. It should come down to who wants it the most. I understand that there are 5 or 6 bids to the national tournament in this age group.Tell me what you think?

The sparta team played well and #23 is a good ball player. He should be playing #2 maybe. Demario Williams is for real. He works hard.Mike Williams played well for the thunder (10).

I would like to say that Iam glad that coach Bryant is doing well. I understand that he coached this weekend in knoxville. Coach thank you for being there for your Kids!!!!!!!

I have noticed the same about those tournaments in the east also. The only way to change something is to let those in charge in memphis know about the problem and hope someone else steps up to the plate to run these tournaments.

I did not see the game. I was told that they did not play well. I wish I had been there. I have been told that it was a great game and a lot of talent on both teams.The coach that told me was a high school coach and he said that it was played like a high school game in every way.

He plays for coach patton on nike select. He plays back up point guard.

who won the memphis sub-state 14 u ?

the 14 u sub-state was the same weekend as 13 u . Coach patton has both teams.

Did this sub-state have some type of all tournament team and if so who made and picked it.

I don't see Don Woods or John Patton talking about thier teams or themselves. Maybe its because that not thier type of fun.

Guys. Let's play the game on the court and after its over , it should be over. no one should be this involved in a child's game esp. a coach. note: Good players are talked about by other players and good coachs don't have to be told how good they are in this game .

Now: let's talk about the men in charge. Give me your list of the best coaches in 13 u and 14 u and why?
