arkansasvol, You may be right about some of those things. I do know that when they made the finals in 88 they had at least 5 or 6 players more talented than anyone they have now. Also maybe at one time in 1A you could win with 2 coaches and 20 players, but I believe to challenge now you need at least 4 coaches and 30 to 35 players. Price just doesn't have the talent they are used to in Moore Co. Is that his fault? I don't really know. I just know that in 1A football with the rural public schools you are going to have down cycles with talent.

Imagine how good Lewisburg could be if they didn't have so many talented baseball players "concentrating" on other sports. Mario Davis, Dalton, Blake Andrews, and Trai Alred to name a few.

1986 Forrest had some pretty good teams some of those years. But Moore County had some great teams. The last two years this has been a great ballgame. I expect the same this year. Should be some hard hitting, both teams have been known for having a tough D the last couple of years. Just not many pure athletes at these schools right now.

It looks to me like Coach Price could use some help. Three coaches for Jr High and the High School together. That's not going to cut it anywhere. The talent level is certainly down from 4 years ago, but small 1A public schools go through cycles like this. The guy who was there before Price must have been a better recruiter because he had WAY more talent than they have now. Moore County played hard and looked sound with their technique they just faced a team that is on a completely different level talent wise.

lewis co 28 moore co 14 I don't think the homefield advantage will help much. When you are playing the Jr. High in Lynchburg add at least two TDs to Moore Co. because of the officials. But this ain't Jr. High and I don't think Hoenwald will be intimidated. However, Coach Price will have his kids ready they won't be blown out just not enough talent to hang with Lewis Co.

They lost the first game Sat 11-5. Then won Sunday. Not sure who they played. They play again today (Monday).
