Whoever made the post about getting the lawyers was totally uncalled for. Somebody MAY have flicked off the other team. I don't see why a grown woman would just make up something like that. I used to play softball and there have been many a times when bad words and actions have been exchanged. Its a softball game! Congratulations to Coffee County. Congratulations to Oakland. They both have one more game to play. Just give it up and let the girls play ball!!!!!!!!!

I think Oakland will more than likely come out on top, since they only lost one player. They always have lots of talent. They have been number one for the last 8 or 9 years. I also feel that Lebanon should never be underestimated. They may not do that well as far as their regular season, but they always play well during tournament time. Riverdale lost alot of talent, but they have a strong pitcher. Warren County was impressive last year. Cookeville is always a well coached team and should never be taken lightly. Blackman has young talent. I dont really know much about White County. Good luck to all the teams.

without a doubt oakland. cookeville is not a murfreesboro team. oakland has gone through several coaching changes in the last 5 or so years and they still usually manage to come out on top!! 9 district championships in a row is remarkable. i can't think of another team with a tradition like theirs.

i hate to mess up the flow but obviously the people who posted the previous messages were looking on from the outside. coaches don't get fired for no reason. obviously there was a reason. also from my knowledge, this is not the first time that this has happened. i know first hand instances of problems with her in the past. so i think from now on if a question is posted i think that people who know the truth should post messages.

jessica boyce - oakland great leadoff hitter, great outfielder, pretty good pitcher also. she's just a pure athlete. ashley hodge - oakland can hit the ball a mile!! 2nd baseman. great defensive player. kaycie jones - oakland catcher, very good #3 hitter. gets base hits. puts the ball in play in clutch situations. these girls play summer ball. u should check them out.

here's the breakdown: RIVERDALE - they lost a ton of talented seniors, it will be a rebuilding year. they do have strong pitching but not untouchable. worried about defense and hitting unless they have some great talent coming in. BLACKMAN - they have lots of talent. deep pitching staff but hittable. defense will be good. the only thing is, will they pull it all together come tournament time? LEBANON - they might have a shaky season but do not take them lightly. they become a different team come tournament time. watch out for these girls. talented bunch. OAKLAND - how many times have they been district champs!!! they are a strong talented team. they were state contenders last year and have a strong tradition that means a lot to them. they only lost one senior. they have pitching, excellent defense, and they WILL hit the ball. another team to look out for is WARREN COUNTY. they showed tremendous improvement last year. who knows what will happen come tournament time but thats just my opinion of 7aaa.

valanna lyons from oakland high school class of 2001 was all american. she plays for the university of arkansas now.

i think that the selection of the all mid state team was done very well. the weiland girl was a excellent player and her stats proved it. the only thing that i believe held her back was that the stats were only against 7AAA teams. her team didn't even make it past the district tournaments. there were girls on the all mid state team that had extremely high averages against the top teams in the state. thats why they were named to all mid state. congrats to her on all her achievements which are countless. i think you all should be thankful for all that she was blessed with instead of complaining about the one thing she didn't get.

dickson county, beech, maryville, knox halls, bolton, oakland, soddy daisy, and bartlett or germantown advance to the state tournament. these are all great teams with impressive records and traditions. who do you think will come out on top?
