I will agree with most of those picks but let me throw something at ya....... I kinda heard thru the grapevine that Clarksville Academy will be missing something like 5 or 6 starters on the offensive and defensive side of the ball and only have like 15 or 16 healthy players that will suit up on Friday night against Nashville Christian. Not sure who the players are that are out but that has to be a big blow considering they only had something like 30 players to begin with.

Like that explosive offense you guys have. You might want to not talk trash until you learn how to have an explosive defense. To let the QB from CA have 160+ yards and also their star RB to have 150+ yards is a disgrace. I would have to say that after seeing that score that CA has improved since last year. Just an FYI.... an explosive offense should produce more than ONE win in NINE games. Also, you might want to go by Coach Flatt's room and beg him to help coach the team next year! Good Luck

Unlike over the last 4 years or so...Maryville is beatable this year. I am not saying Halls will snap the streak or anything but Maryville will have a tougher time making it to the 'Boro this year. If Halls plays the way they are capable of playing they win 31-28. If they don't play the way they are capable.....it will be a looooong night. Good Luck to both teams.

Without looking at the Colts schedule, I will say the Colts lose first just because of Addai and Harrison being out with injury and by the way I am not a JBS follower. Different Reddevil. Different county. Different side of the state.

I think this weeks picks "should" be easy picks with the exception of McEwen vs Forrest. That one is a tough one to call but I will go with Forrest. Jo Byrns "should" face it's toughest task of this season to-date. But they will pull away in the second half.

I will say that I think personally Clarksville Academy has improved since last year. As of now their record doesn't show anything, BUT let's also keep in mind that 2 losses have been against top 10 teams in single A and the McEwen game was a big revenge game since CA knocked them out of the last playoff spot last year. CA still has a chance to improve on last years 4-6 record as their schedule is much easier the second half of the season. Possible wins include Community, Eagleville, MTCS and as of now i will say possibly NCS. I also am not sure as of right now how good Forrest really is. Now I am not saying that CA will make the playoffs but alot of strange things have been happening in football this year in high school and in college. So I will say for now that Jo Byrns wins the region followed by Cascade, then Whit House Heritage and the fourth spot in all likely hood will go to Forrest but you can't count out McEwen, NCS or CA at this point.

I agree with that HTV, BUT you have to at least agree that if PHS only loses by 14 that they "should" be able to take alot of positives out of that game versus if they get shelled. Am I right?

Milligan was a tremendous back in high school and I can't blame him for not playing his final year under Sparks. He will be a tremendous asset as a coach ( I would think he is coaching the RB's and DB's) and think he will make a great coach in time. HTV long time no see how ya been?

Well osunut2 I would say thatmost college coaches "respect" those three college coaches that you mentioned. Noticed I said respect not liked. I would venture to say that most people in this area hate Spurrier and also Meyer but I bet they respect their ability to coach at a very high level of competition. As far as Carr goes, I would say most people in this area really like Carr since the Appy St / Mich game. It draws the attention off of UT and Fulmer. Hince the sarcasm there. And I won't get nasty with you either since we have never had a rocky past or even a past that I know of. Good luck to you and OSU this year.

So basically what you are telling me is that since he has played college football and has 8 wins as a high school "head coach" that he has earned the right to act like a total #### on the field? Tell me this....how many head coaches in Knoxville, current or even in the past 15 years, has worn their visor backwards, rolls their sleeves up to show everybody they have some muscles and also have at least "8 wins" as a head football coach? So basically I am talking between lets say 1993-2007. Then let me know how many coaches in Knoxville have at least "8 wins" as a head coach in Knoxville during that same time frame.

Yo numnuts (Panthers08) Here is my bio for ya OK Jack....Played and started 4 years of high school football...Played and started four years of high school basketball.......Played and started 4 years of high school baseball.... Played 4 years of college ball and started 3 of them.....Played and started 3 years in minor league baseball......coached summer league baseball for 8 years(high school aged kids) Now I have never been a head coach at the high school level and I did not play college football nor pro football for that matter. But I can tell you this. I have been in Matt Lowe's face on the football field before and I would not back down from doing it again if the need arose. He has no character, no self discipline and very little respect from many of the coaches in his profession that know him or of him. Now that you can take to the bank JACK!!
