  1. I agree with Tyner playing a better game against Alcoa than Goodpasture did. But how does scoring 0 points in two games like Loudon did against Alcoa constitute a good game?
  2. 1.Alcoa 2.Goodpasture 3.Huntington 4.Tyner 5.Boyd Buchanan 6.Milan 7.Loudon 8. CAK 9.Ezell 10. Martin Westview
  3. I too saw the dunk during the CAK game and was definitley impressed. And yes, he does have a bad temper and yes, the CAK fans were razzing him all game long which i suppose is reason for the yelling at the fans and the following technical. It was fun though.
  4. I think that Walter Fisher of Hillsboro winning the award a couple of years ago was alot worse than this, this award went to the best man for it. Congratulations Warren and good luck with your future. People talk bad about you now, but when youre a stud at FSU people are going to be recalling how their sons got to play against you and what an honor that was.
  5. East Tennesee has Fiegler and Harb, arguably the two best passers in Tennessee this past season. I decided to edit my post and include all of Tennessee because i cant imagine anyone being much better than these two.
  6. wow. free. you and i both know that you havent traveled to a single football game that hasnt had the word "LOUDON" on the marquee. dont try and pretend as if you know how good boyd is. you can absolutley believe that the job that Akins and the staff at Boyd has done in the last few years has been borderline incredible. This season was what some in that program would call a "down year" based on record. Now i am in NO WAY saying that Loudon is not a good team. You seem to be pretty dead set on the assumption that i believe that Loudon is a bad team and you have been all season long. We will never know who would win in a matchup between the 2005 Redskins and the 2005 Bucs but my money would be on the private school.
  7. thats a very good question. Im sure that there are a lot of teams who experience this. One i am knowledgable about is the CAK program in Knoxville. in 2001, CAK went 0-8 with a very undisciplined head coach. Coach Bill Young formerly of Bearden and Oak Ridge took over the program and in 2 years took a previously 0-8 team to them to the semifinals of the playoffs in 2003. Same core group of players, different coaches. You just cant learn talent, you can get stronger, quicker, sometimes even faster, but you just cant learn the intangibles. Coaching in my opinion is more important than talent, however talent doesnt hurt.
  8. i appreciate your bias, however Boyd has a full team. Loudon-Hawkins=average team at best.
  9. I have seen both Loudon and Boyd this past season. Boyd, regardless of record, would beat Loudon in my opinion.
  10. im not sure if you've ever played football or if youre just one of the people who sit in the stands and pretend to know everything about the game, but when a team has 0 points, youre not too worried.
  11. My mistake. It kept saying page could not be displayed and i kept disliking what i wrote previously. So i kept rewriting and reposting. My bad.
  12. And Loudon would know that hitting them hard and hitting them early gets in their heads how?
  13. Youre right, I dont have any idea what Tyner is bringing. Frankly, im not worried. I will say one thing im worried about though. With all the Tyner fans posting about this game, im worried that there will be so many "TYNER SENIORS: THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES" threads come saturday morning that flood control will be going crazy.
  14. Right but this particular team has never tasted success let alone the quarterfinals of the state playoffs. It will be interesting to see what the Redskins will do next year, win or lose friday night, because i know from experience. Once you get that first taste of success, youll do anything to get it back.
  15. I dont think its so much that people think that Loudon is new to the playoffs as much as it is that Josh Hawkins, Fritts Bros. and company are new to the playoffs and winning in general.
  16. That is correct reaction. Ive followed Boyd ever since the semi-final game two years ago. Went to the state championship game last year and thought that was an incredible game. I think its kinda odd to see that your former tailback Peardon is now playing at Austin Peay with our former quarterback Cunningham. Anyways, win this game because it would give me a good excuse to travel to Alcoa in a couple weeks.
  17. Obviously this is about QB's, so i would go with Watts. For an all around player, i might have to take Helton because i think he would be a little more versatile. For a DIII team or NAIA Helton could probably make a real good safety or receiver as well as a pretty good QB. I think Watts could probably play QB for a I-AA or DIII team. Tom, Nothing about Harb there either. I dont really care, i just think its interesting that there is absolutley nothing about Harb anywhere except from the Oxford Nike Camp where he was ranked the biggest sleeper prospect at the camp if what i heard was true.
  18. come on Boyd. Win this one. I want to see you guys come to Alcoa really bad.
  19. I dont know how youre going to interpret this Tom but Harb isnt even listed on rivals100
  20. This whole deal leads me to believe that wingman is only here to promote his lover Rankin and truly has NO IDEA about how the game of football works and only goes off what other people tell him. wingman, learn to formulate your own opinions otherwise you will go through life sad and never a leader, you will truly always be someones wingman.
  21. Wingman, I have Tom's back in this one. Everything that Tom said in the above post is correct. 5 defensive TD's is gonna send the score through the roof, especially when you have an offensive juggernaut on your hands. wingman, you are truly pathetic. I really thought you might have SOME knowledge of the game of football, but until you have the fortitude to not just say "my boyfriend Rankin didnt score 90 points" and give us some ways to prevent it when running dive plays EVERYTIME, then in the words of Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson : "Know your role and shut your mouth"
  22. I'm getting tired of hearing that. Who cares who could have and who couldnt have. Lay off Coach Reid would you? I had the pleasure of meeting Coach Reid after the game friday night and i have to say that he is one of the nicest and most respectful men i have met in a long time. You have gone on and on about how other coach's couldve scored 90+ points but didnt. Well exactly how did they not do it wingman? Did they tell their QB to take a knee every play until 4th down? Heck, why not just punt on 1st down? When one of the backers makes an interception, just tell him to lay down. You clearly have no knowledge of the game of football due to the fact that all you have done is talk and not given any explanation as to how YOU would have handled the situation.
