No one is down on Clint? What the heck have you been saying this whole time beside that Clint is losing the games for us!?! You are the only one that has said a bad word about Clint. You said in one post that he has lost more games shooting the three than he will ever win shooting. And now you want to come on and say that he is huge reason for our success? What the heck!! You go back and forth so much I don't know if you are for Greenfield or against us. The reason we keep promoting him to shoot is because he has to shoot the ball for us to be successful. But I have only said that about a million times. To answer cardinals' question I don't know. I didn't see anybody that I knew but scouts can be pretty sneaky sometime when it comes to getting in.

Out of this year's 8th graders the only one who has a real good chance of playing is Cody Black the left handed kid. He had good height and an ok shot. He depends a lot on the left hand but in Jr. High you don't have to be able to go both ways. I don't know that any of them will be able to help a whole lot next year but who knows who could get in the gym this summer and improve. The other team's in the tournament are Lee Al playing Bolton. On the other side of the bracket is CB playing St. Joseph MS. and St. Bernard playing ECS of Memphis. Don't know anything about any team so like I said it is kinda like a state tournament game going in blind having never seen the team you are playing.

Actually I don't pay but that is a different story. Why is it always Clint's fault when we lose? He is the first and sometimes the only one you blame for us losing. And that is the first post that I have made refering directly to myself as a part of last year's team so no it is not always me and somebody else. I like to keep things in the present instead of refering to how things use to be. Unlike a lot of people (you included) who want to keep talking about how things were last year. And you have yet to spell my name right.

Clint has had the green light since he was a sophomore for one reason. He busted his butt in summer and proved that he can knock down any shot. He hasn't shot the ball any where near what he can. True he proved it during pick up games when the rim can seem as big as the ocean but let me give you an example. It was a 2 on 2 game to 15, 3's are 2, 2's are 1. Teams were Clint and me against Brandon and Jeremy. Clint scored all of our 15 points on 8 straight 3's. We never played defense or had to get an offensive rebound. I think I might have got the ball twice. Atleast 5 of those were with Jeremy's hand on his face. He has earned his right to shot the ball and there isn't a player on the team that has a problem with him shooting the ball. Everybody keeps talking about how last year we did this and last year we did that. Stating the obvious here but that was last year and this is this year. This is a total different team. The reason we played an inside then outside game is because we had 4 people that could consistently score.

No clue. The only I know anything about is Bolton and that is from last years team. I saw them play at UTM's summer camp. They are very athletic like most Memphis area teams but are very well coached and fundamental unlike a lot of Memphis area teams. So really I don't know mush about them except from last years team. But to get invited I guess you can't be horrible.

I will try to get to at least two of the games. Should be a good tournament. I am pulling for Bolton to win the other game and us have a rematch of the 84 state championship. But either way we are going to to get 3 games against 3 good teams.

Look I am just tired of you coming on and talking bad about Clint. He is the best shooter in single A in our area. He hasn't shown it yet but he is. You keep blaming him for all of our loses when he is far from the reason we lose games. One player does not lose a game for a team even if he does shoot the ball a lot. I still think you are a fair weather fan. We win and you say a great game by the Blackburn boys when each shoot the ball the same way they do when we lose. And we lose and they (escpecially Clint) are to blame for it. Like I said earlier one player does not lose a game. Thanks to ifiruledtheworld for the statement about Clint not shooting us out of the games. Good to know that some Greenfield fans know a little about basketball. And were either of you two at the game. I figured ifiruledtheworld was there by the way he is talking about the game but i think balla said he wasn't going to be able to make it. And it you spell it Vaughan not Vaughn.

Yeah he deleted his messages so I guess I will to. Thanks for showing some sense unlike other Greenfield "fans". I may try to get down there on Thur. and Fri. night. I don't have anything else to do so I might go. There are some tough teams down there. We open up with La Salle from Lousiana and then depending on what we do we play either Bolton or I can't remember but I am assuming it is CB since it is their tournament. But should be a good test for us in a kind of a state tournament atmosphere because we come in blind not knowing much about our opponent.

Greenfield wins 58-43. By 15, somebody looked into their crystal ball on that one. But anyways, a complete turn around from the last game. Jeremy Smith did a great job on Taylor. I didn't here his name called many times. Both Blackburns shopt the ball really well and Jeremy played good on the offensive end as well. Shane did as good as can be expected defending Webb and had some good post moves as well as knocking down a couple of outside shots. The defense was there this time for Greenfield and so was the rebounding. If they can play this way consitantly they will be tough to stop.

Look you are the one who needs to shut up. You are the definition of a fair weather fan. Things go good, you are Greenfield's #1 fan and the second something bad happens, you are the first to point fingers. Since you seem to know how to run the team perferctly, why not ask Coach Trevathan if you can be coach for the rest of the year? And do I know you? Give me a hint.
-
Balla why are you so negative about Greenfield after they lose but when they win you talk them up? To be honest Greenfield has about 10 role players on thier team. Everybody has a role on a team whether they are all-state or not. And like it or not Clint's role is to shoot the ball.
-
Maybe not by 15 but this is a team that has improved since the loss at Greenfield. Milan is not as tall as West Carroll but is a lot bigger when it comes to strength. Greenfield had a hard time screening out Rod and #55 and West Carroll doesn't have a player that is near as strong as either of those two. But it should be an interesting game. Greenfield is looking for some payback but West Carroll is a tough place to get a win.

Greenfield played a good game except for the first few minutes when they dug a hole 12-2. Also when they cut it to 4 and turned the ball over 3 times in row. Kind of a out of no where comment there by bulldawgs#1 but he does do the little hop and jump thing a lot. But they do not call it very often unless it is real obvious. Other than the two lapses they had I thought they played with Milan and if not for the first few minutes of the game, this one might have turned out a little different. BUt anyways like I have been saying they are going to be fine.
-
Jumped off the bandwagon again didn't we? And RUGDU you are about a hour and a half late with that prediction.
-
Bulldawgs#1 Do you play for Milan? Just asking?
-
I got an email from you saying you had a tape that you gave Tyler's dad. If it is a game from the state tournament I have all three games but the USJC game I have doesn't have radio on it. So if that is it or if it is something different let me know.

In 97 they had the MacFarland kid who could shoot the lights out. Dee Brown was as good of Point Guard as you can get, and they had another two other guys who played wing who were solid. And the year they won it they had Craig Dame who was solid, the short porky kid who could guard anybody, BJ something who could shoot. The point is until Trey got in his junior and senior years, they were solid all the way through.
-
The key for Greenfield if Milan does press will be to not hurry up and try to beat it. A press is designed to hurry up a team. Last night when Trenton got in a run and jump it took Greenfield 3 possesions to get adjusted to it and in a close game you can't take that long. Depth is a huge factor but the main 6 are in really good shape. The only time Brandon has been out is when he fouled out at UC. I think that it will be a really good game if Greenfield can come out and play as hard as they did against Trenton. If not, Greenfield might end the week on a sour note.
-
I have seen Strayhorn play once since Greenfield last played them which would have been his sophmore season. I would say something about him but haven't seen him and only heard things about him and I don't make a judgment on what other people say.
-
The coach here at Union has been asking me about both Clint and Brandon but other than asking if they might be interested, he hasn't done much.
-
Just playing. Don't know of anybody on Gleason that can score other than Carey. And if Shane and Galey play post defense like they did against Doaks and Avery, this one will go from ugly to really really ugly in a hurry.
-
I think that if Greenfield can hit a free throw every once and a while and get more than one shot a possesion (offensive rebounding) they can play with anybody because the offense and defense is coming together.
-
Spaghetti with velvetta cheese sprinkled on top, Grape kool-aid, and a Little Debbie Fudge Round always did it for me
-
Are we getting back on the Greenfield bandwagon?
-
I think that he is after both Clint and Brandon. I heard this from a very reliable source who is friends of Coach Campbell.
