  2. Thats what I was thinking also. Was'nt the 75 team coached by Garner Ezell Sr.? And I believe the quarterback was Garner Ezell Jr. Loretto's athletic dept. must not keep very good or acurate records, because I am pretty sure that Coach Garner Ezell had more than one undefeated team. Garner is my uncle and I've heard the family talk about his undefeated seasons before. Garner Jr. went on to be the starting QB at UNA and was very good. He also became a very succesful football coach at Cherokee High School in North Alabama and later at Athens High School in Athens AL. Loretto should have tried to get Garner Jr. to come coach at Loretto during the lean years in the 1980's. He would have got the job done I'm sure.

Garner Jr. last played High School in 1973.Kevin Williams was QB of undefeated 1975 team.

  3. We have this rule because some coaches in the past refused to use a common sense approach and some players died. That being said, opening football season as early as August 18 is NOT a common sense approach by the T$$AA.Neither is siarting practice July 24th.All this so there's time to work in 5 playoff games per class so the T$$AA's Number 1 priority is met- To rake in the cash !

  4. Cary "Mac" McCurry is the new coach at Crockett Co., according to JacksonSun.com.

McCurry has spent the last five seasons as head coach at Ripley High in Mississippi, where he posted a record of 48-15 (.762). During that time, the Tigers won three region championships and made the state playoffs in each of his five years.

McCurry is a graduate of Franklin Co. and Carson-Newman, and has had successful tenures as head coach at Moore Co. and Marshall Co.

Mac definitley didn't get any better-looking in Mississippi ! :D Glad to see him back!
