Well, it is true that a few players quit the team, for what reason I'm not exactly sure. As for the team, it looks to be a rebuilding year, to put it mildly. More than two wins is a stretch, with best bets being against county rivals Mt. Juliet and Wilson Central. The desire and motivation is there, and Coach Brown and his assistants can get the job done, but the depth is just not there this year. This year's junior class has a few players who will make an impact down the line, but for now, it will be tough going for the Blue. A word to the wise, however: this team will fight you down to the last second. They certainly have the desire to pull off a few upsets, and if things fall into place, the Rutherford Co. powers would be wise to watch their backs. Hope this helps.
