  1. In my own humble opinion, i believe that he should give it up. Anyone who could waste the kind of talent he had 2 years ago and go no farther than 2nd round of region should step aside and give someone else a shot at it. He has failed lawrence county time and time again and its time 2 move on. And I hope for the sake of the boys that he does this, and isn't selfish enuff 2 come back. He got 100, now let it go.
  2. tell u what, yall take care of columbia, we'll take care of coffee, and we'll see yall for a 4th time in the 2nd roudnd of region, and mebbe we can earn a lil pay back, either way, it'd be another excellent match.
  3. The game will be played in shelbyville.
  4. jhova, since i play for lawrence county i guess i should remind u that we swept yall this year, so i guess u r sorry about that.
  5. yeah, i've heard of the so called "Baker Bunch", saw em in person as a matter of fact, and its a bunch of guys that seem 2 like Yance a little bit 2 much if yall catch my drift. I personally woulda called me "Baker's _ _ _ _ Buddies"
  6. i'm assuming that u'r referring to me, for the record, since that seems to be everyone's favorite term around here, i never intended to injure tyler, that is, if u'r referrin to the supposed intentional foul from the 1st quarter, i went down w/ the intention of stoppin the dunk, and even hit the ball or he would have dunked despite me hittin him, u can watch the tape on it, but i never tried to hurt the guy, i just wanted to not give up n e thing e-z, simple as that, basketball is a man's game, at least on this board, so its not a matter of intendin to injure, just a matter of playin hard, i wouldn't look to injure n e one, just for the record.
  7. i forgot to add, just to try to clear this up, we do not, under any circumstances, go out and try to hurt people. We just play hard, and might foul somone hard, but there is no intent to injure, or be sure, coach would have the players responsible for doin so, off the floor immediately.
  8. lchsbaseball, i'm glad that u were not dissin u'r skool. I must admit i'm still highly angry at u'r comments, i feel that we (lchs) do just play a hustle style of basketball. I mean what other options do we got, have u seen our lineup? Kind of undersized wouln't u say? But u r entitled to u'r opinion, but i will grant u this, we do not go out to make friends w/ the other teams, we go out to win games and defeat the other team, and since there is really only one style of basketball that we can hope to play and have n e success, i don't look for our style to change n e time soon. But thanks for tryin to clear things up a bit. See ya in baseball, (yeah, i play that too)
  9. lchs baseball, from what i can tell that would mean lawrence county high school baseball. I just wanna know why your doggin us? I mean if you're for us thats great, but if not, change your user name, becuz i really don't want your support if you don't wish to offer it. You're either for us, or you're against us. Would you perhaps care to identify yourself, or is that asking a little much from you? Because I would like to talk to you at school and find out what someone did to make you turn on us. Perhaps you should transfer to giles co. if you love em so much and change your user name to giles county baseball. I'm not tryin to be hard about it, but i just don't understand why u wanna dawg us.
  10. As a 3 sport athlete at lchs, i think i would have a good opinion about what sport is the most difficult, or n e other argument u'd like to settle (at least when it comes to football, basketball, or baseball). And i'll have to say that football is the most difficult. I mean lets face it, how many people are really manly enuff to take on the task. Shoot, many people off our team this year thought they were manly enough, but u could see in their eyes they were scared of contact, especially with certain opponents. Each position requires different skill, and each skill must be executed at all times for a play to work well. Linemen must block, the qb must throw, the receiver must catch, all these must happen. So football is prolly more of a sport than any of the others, not to mention its the most popular american sport n e how. AS for baseball, think about tryin to hit a tiny ball with a piece of lumber, if u've never tried, try it one time, try swingin on a good cutter, nothing easy about it.
  11. I personally don't see a problem with the trash talk, i mean, what does it honestly hurt? I'm thinkin that coacht knew when he put this board up that there would be trash talk. So y should n e one care? As long as its good clean trash talk, it becomes a form of good clean innocent fun, no one get hurt, even though some ppl get mad, but who cares, its all good. Just keep it clean boys and keep up da work. Besides if u eliminate the trash talk u eliminate 75% of the message board. And then it would be boring. Peace!
  12. It has to be hands down lose yourself by eminem off the 8 mile soundtrack, great movie by the way if n e one cared. You could also say til i collapse by eminem, thats a great song as well.
  13. Thank u crosseyedcat, for the support u apparently continue to show our team. Tomorrow night, i will play my last high skool football game, and though i didn't begin playin until last year, these past 2 years, have been the best of my young life. This year, despite the record, will alwayz hold a special place in my heart, and in my memory, as will the group of so called "uncaring" guys on that football team. That is by far the best 1-8 team i've ever seen, and i think n e one who has watched us play will agree w/ that. We could just as easily be at least 5-4 right now if not for the the inability to hold leads, and beat the teams that we were no doubt better than. But all this said, i know that i will alwayz miss my experience as a high skool football player, and n e one who never played high skool football, well u don't know what u missed, becuz i will undoubtedly leave a large part of me on that field tomorrow night when i leave it. But once more thank you to all the supporters of the last 2 years, it has truly been wonderful.
  14. Jason Potts from lawrence county can bring the lick. He plays linebacker and is only around 185 pounds i do believe, be he will decapitate n e one, regardless of their size compared to his, and watchin this guy in practice everyday, makes me really respect his ability to bring the lick, and teams that have played him this year, also respect his ability to hit. He is a very talented and underrated player, playin on a 1-8 team doesn't do much for his publicity, but the guy is no doubt a talent.
  15. I'm not here to say whats right or wrong. I'm not the one who's supposed to judge such things, and i doubt n e one else on this board is either. You see, one of the first steps to life, is figuring out what u believe in, and standin by what u believe in, no matter what ppl like me or yall, or n e one else has to say. This young man only has to answer to himself for these beliefs, he does not have to please n e one else, and by standin up for his beliefs, he's taken a very important step in life. Now i'm not sure of the entire situation, but it appears that this young man is standin by his beliefs in the face of a lot of adversity, and that takes a lot of brass, so i will applaud him for that, once again, i'm not sayin whats right or wrong, just sayin that him standin by his beliefs is very important, and i'll leave u w/ this quote "stand for what i believe in, even if what i believe in stops me from breathin" ladies and gentleman, be not quick to judge u'r fellow man, for rushin quickly to judgement is as great a folly as n e other.
