    Bowl Games

Heard something about a Lawrence Co./Creekwood matchup in a bowl in Clarkesville...??????
  2. Hey Bubbles..............a Lawrence County fan here, I don't know the situation over there, but you're not alone, I feel the same pain on this end of the region.
  3. Was wanting to ask any Wildcat players, with the off week this week and the very crucial upcoming games, if the golden chance is being took advantage of in alot of practice and possibly some "new wrinkles" being thrown in. Great chance to impliment some things that's not already on game films. GO WILDCATS
  4. Being a Lawrence County fan, I'd have to say that Adam Cozart is fun to watch on every play, if on offense, he will throw a bone jarring block...on defense, he is all over the place and usually winds up in the play. Also, #79 Adam Thompson, the DT/DE (bleacher talk is always "why dont they have him on Offensive line"), moves great for a 300 pounder.
  5. Del You mix a great bunch of cheerleaders, a great pep band, a very vocal and supporting student body, and the very enthusiastic "Head Cat", the one and only Reverand Mickey Dunn, and there you go. I hear they get the gym to rockin' at the in-school pep rallies, but the ones that I've attended on the Historic Lawrenceburg Square at night......well, any sports fan can't leave without a great positive feeling. Crosseyed Cat GO WILDCATS
  6. A more accurate statement has probably never been made on here.....you are so correct, sir!
  7. Depends on if your home or away.......if your home, in some places, the clock operator will handle it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  8. I believe that this day and time the number of students does not have near as much to do with it as it once may have at one time. Alot of schools are beggin for participation. As far as the Loretto game, to me, the most important factor was the QB that hadnt played a down all year come in with what appeared to be unshaken maturity to guide the team. I don't know what's going on in practice, but he should be given some time now with what he showed.
  9. My vote, too. Classifications,.... East, Middle, West, ...yours, mine and ours,...or something!!! Growing pains, growing pains.
  10. Thoughts: Good to see such a crowd at the game, part of me wants to ask why Lawrence County would want to continue this series with nothing to gain except "braggin' rights" and a good take from their portion of the gate, which are, I guess, two pretty good reasons. Good to see great school spirit from both student bodies, Loretto always has it and Lawrence County's has been getting better for a while now and I hope that it continues to grow throughout the season and beyond. Thank goodness the horrible calls in the latter part of the game didn't change the final outcome.
  11. This thread needs a bump bad. Seems like this rivalry is a thing of the past. Sad to see........The Columbia game was a much needed slap in the face wake up call for both Wildcat players and coaches. Potential time is over, the real Wildcats time has come, I hope it's tonight. Prediction. Lawrence County-26, Giles Co. 13. Turn that Hughes boys' arm loose, Coach, and give #34 the ball, I love to see a fullback run over people.
  12. Lawrence County could suprise alot of folks this year...... starting with Columbia.
