  1. Why should Division II even have divisions in football? There's not even 25 schools when you combine all 3 divisions together. BGA, Catholic, Briarcrest, and Harding should be playing with the big boys, instead of having their own little mediocre division. Maybe instead of celebrating mediocrity, we should encourage teams to compete with the best.
  2. I definitely don't want them to win. They're already too cocky and arrogant.
  3. Who honestly cares about Dyersburg's new assistant coach? It's really getting slow here.
  4. Brentwood Academy is going to be there!!!
  5. How are they looking for next year? Will it be another easy state championship or will they have to battle SBEC and hope to come out on top? Do they have any players who should step up and lead them? If anyone has any info, please feel free to post it here. It's always fun to see how the most competitive division in Tennessee shakes out each year.
  6. If DII-AAA and the powerhouses of DII-AA were to join, how do you think the likes of BGA, Briarcrest, Catholic, and Harding would fare? Personally, I think if you combine them, they might have a few tough years, but eventually they would adjust to the tougher competition. Harding almost beat BA this year and BGA even beat MBA, the "State" champions. Would this be a good idea? Why or why not?
  7. 1. Father Ryan 2. McCallie 3. MBA 4. Baylor 5. BA 6. Briarcrest 7. Christian Brothers 8. USN 9. MUS 10. Notre Dame *Feel free to comment, I know many won't agree with these rankings, but I tried to do these as fairly as possible. Good luck to all this summer as you all try to be the best that you can be.
  8. You all are a wonderfult group of girls, and I am so proud to know all of you. I hope all of you will continue to work hard this summer and become the best softball players that you can possibly be. :justwrestle:
  9. I was just interested in knowing if anyone out there knows how LaVergne's baseball team will be next year. I know this year was pretty disappointing with the high expectations they had coming in, but I know they will work hard for next year because they have a lot of fight in them. Hopefully next year the umpires won't lose a few important games for us just because we had ONE smart mouth player. Sorry, I'm rambling. Goodl luck to all next year and remember: Never take your eye off the ball.
  10. WesVols, you are a tremendous supporter of BA athletics. I could only hope to have someone like yourself to help me cheer on the Eagles for my last two years. Maybe someone will step up. I would also like to congratulate the tennis seniors for the work they put in. The tennis program at BA definitely gets overlooked but that takes nothing away from their accomplishments. Losing Coach Braud will hurt but I believe W. Andrews, S. Goodman, N. Mathews, and R. Huie will be able to continue the legacy. I hope everyone lifts hard this summer and can accomplish the goals that they set.
  11. You might want to include Brad Bowker and Erick Innis of Brentwood Academy in that group. They both had solid seasons this year and I know they will work hard to improve for next year. Most of you probably haven't heard of them, maybe Bowker, but keep an eye out for them this summer. For Franklin I would say Ricky Headley and Trey Horsephal would be the stars of next year. Both of them batted over .350 this year and fortunately I have the privilege to know both of them. Good luck to all this summer and remember: Never take your eye of the ball.
  12. I would like to wish everyone the best of luck as they train this summer for next season. I just want to make sure that everyone remembers to stay hydrated throughout their workouts. Drink water, Powerade, Gatorade, All Sport, Propel, or anything else that will keep you going. My personal preference is Propel, but that has no relevance. I would also like to encourage all coaches to make water accesible to all participants this summer, and not ridicule them for hydrating. Good luck to all and work hard so that you always know you have done everything you can do to make yourself the best you can be.
  13. Yes, WesVols, I'm David. I would say that JanetLaws is Mrs. Laws but I doubt that she is an avid poster on CoachT. Whoever it is, it's not me. My guess is one of my friends. Sorry about the confusion.
  14. Wes, I have to say that I personally enjoyed your speech at graduation very much and the speech itself made the experience worthwhile. I just want to wish you the best as you go to UT and thank you for your 7 years at BA.
  15. WesVols, once again you have taken the words right out of my mouth, or I guess I should say my fingers. The seniors were tremendous in the 4 years here. I was really happy for Shelby to have such a great season as a sophomore. She's a fantastic young lady and pretty darn attractive at that. Good luck to Liz, Chrissa, and Jessica as you all move on. It was great to know all three of you. Everyone remember: Never take your eye off the ball.
  16. Wes, I agree wholeheartedly with everything that you have said. Coach Harper is a tremendous man and coach who has affected my life and many others. I also wanted to congratulate the BA track team for their excellent performance on Friday, as they brought home the gold. I couldn't have been happier for them. Bumbi ran very well, as did most of the team. Their inspiring performance made me wish I never quite track to play soccer. Hopefully this will be the beginning of the renewal of BA's dominance in track and field. GREAT JOB GUYS, I'M SO PROUD!!!!!
  17. I just wanted to make sure that everyone playing baseball this summer remembers to stay hydrated while out in the hot sun. It's vital to your performance as well as your health that you drink water, Gatorade, Powerade, All Sport, Propel or anything else that will give you the nutrients to keep playing. Good luck to all and remember to keep your eye on the ball!!!
