  1. For all the talk about the USJ QB and WRs, I wouldn't trade them for Colemen, Pearson, JW, Dominic, Adkisson, or Vandiver
  2. Milan could play poorly and USJ could conceivably beat milan but if both teams play to their potential this game won't be close.
  3. Well GC it is completely irrelevant and I realize it was your SR year as it was mine as well, but the score was 37-14 your first team scored a very late TD against the freshmen but good luck against Peabody ya'll should get them this year.
  4. I have always been critical of the Peabody coaches due to some questionable calls but I thought they did a good job coaching in the quarter final game last year. Saying that the 05 GC team had state championship talent however is a little bit of a stretch.
  5. Wow freeacen quite the opposite tone from last year.
  6. I agree nwtn, but its just the same one or two saying the same old things.
  7. I was thinking the same thing stockerd. Postoak had success last year rushing the passer against JCS and USJ off the end. Rogers and Coleman have looked very good rushing the passer this year. I would like to see Avery and Jabronski blitz quite a bit. If we decide to bring some extra guys I don't think USJ will be able to handle it. While we will certainly miss JW I think Hart has the skill set to perform well even as young as he is. I wonder how many USJ will put in the box?
  8. We all know about the bad blood here. USJ is a "surprise team so far." How bad will the absence of all state caliber DB JW Williams hurt Milan? Teams are starting to stack the box against Milan to stop Gilbert but the passing attack has looked very good thus far. How does this one turn out?
  9. Well you don't like to compare scores but we played farely well, especially considering the injuries. I thought SO Hakim Hart looked very good filling in for JW after Epperson got burnt deep on the score. Also thought Adkisson looked good totin the ball. Zach Ryan is really comin on at WR. Liked what Coach Morris said in the post game interview. "For all these teams that want to stack the middle to stop Jabronski we've got an answer for that."
  10. JW Williams is out with a torn ligament in his ankle. No idea how long.
  11. Heard Bledsoe has a sprained knee. No ligament damage.
  12. As a Milan fan it was pretty sloppy. JW sat out the first quarter or so I guess for disciplinary reasons, when he came in he muffed a punt and missed several tackles before picking it up a little in the second half. Humboldt stacked the box and we reallly missed Barnes on the line tonight. Adkisson also still out with the high ankle sprain. Certainly the biggest thing right now is the injury to Blesoe. He left in the 4th quarter after limping off the field to head to the ER to check his knee out. It didn't sound very optimistic. If he were out it would be a HUGE loss.
  13. I've heard that humboldt has progressed quite a bit since week 0. And you know they will play very hard. But I don't expect that it will change the outcome.
  14. Dresden is awful. Peabody isn't very good. Humboldt and Westview will probably beat them. But saying that they will be LUCKY to win one more game is wrong.
  15. JW Williams is number 7 and he is a SR. Tristian Peoples is number 4 he was the one we threw to most of the night. Playing a lesser team like this Milan will needs to stay focused unlike they did in the second half last week. It's been awhile since Humboldt has come to Johnnie Hale. I wonder how their kids will perform in front of the big crowd and against the more talented team. But it is Milan and Humboldt.
  16. I guess I'll go with Gilbert to get his customary 4 TDs. I saw Humboldt in week 0, was pretty unimpressed but I'm sure they've improved. If Milan doesn't get lax it should be over early.
  17. I believe GC had under a 100 yards of offense against the first team but scored on a big run in the final minute against reserves. GCP could probably give you a stat there.
  18. Good win for Milan over a good team in Camden. Thought the dawgs played pretty sloppy after we went up 35-7. Fumbles, missed tackles, allowing them to convert on several 4th downs. Gilbert was nasty with a couple of stiff arms, had a little trouble holding onto ball later in the game though. Seemed like Avery made 30 tackles. That was supposed to be the best team we play all year. Gotta stay focused and healthy. I assume Adkisson will be back next week.
  19. I think there's a little bit of his old coach coming out in Ward there.
  20. Heard Camden looked pretty good on film. Quite a better than Huntingdon. Good Line, come off the ball hard, fast RB, can pass, and good special teams. Ward is a very good coach. I think we will win, but playing at their place I don't know that it will be as easy as some predict. When you're Milan and esp. this year being predicted to play for the gold ball you're gonna get a special effort from everyone. Heard there isn't much seating at Camden. Better get there early. Also I would like to say that I don't think this years team is as good as the 03 team, not that it really matters. They do however have an opportunity to do something that team never did.
  21. It was hard for anyone to bust a big one or run up any impressive offensive numbers playing with the short field all night. Not meant in jest, just an observation. And thank you stockerd good luck to ya'll as well.
  22. Indeed GC is improved. They do have some speed and some size. If one of their faster backs gets around the corner I doubt TCA will have anyone that will be able to catch them. I can't say how they play the majority of the time but they certainly looked sloppy against Milan. Several fumbles and the 2 snaps over the head of the punter. Saw Trinity at the jamboree and wasn't impressed but of course that was not a real game and I'm sure they are better than what they showed.
  23. No point in really arguing about what happened. No one wants to believe that their team would do wrong but that was several years ago and apparently the team is a good clean bunch now. USJ hasn't had any success in 2A, no one can blame them for leaving. Maybe they'll get some good players in there now and compete in D2. I don't think they'll miss 2A and 2A won't miss them. Good luck.
  24. Oughta be a pretty good game. Probably a first time any of us have ever been to Camden to see a football game. I have always felt the residents of Camden were hospitable people. As for the game...I'm sure we'll see the ole wing-t again this week. We pretty much stuffed it week 1 but were caught over pursuing a couple of times on reverses and screen passes. I expect that both teams will be up for this one and this should be Milan's toughest test until the playoffs.
  25. Yes I saw the comment as well. Pretty ridiculous I don't know how you make enough mistakes to beat yourselves by 5 TDs, oh well. Speaking of Swenson's attitude I had heard a lot of unflattering remarks in the weeks leading up to last night. Evidently not the class character that Mansfield is.
