Let's say the multiplier goes through....tell me how said private school with lets say 250 students, in some schools almost 70% girls...if you use the multiplier and say that school now participates in a division now at 500 strengh....how do the private school coaches take this 50% incease in their team numbers with players that do not exist....hope everybody feels better.......FRA with 23 players.....CPA in high 30's.....Ezell with 38 players......those sure are high numbers....I guess now though FRA will have 46 players....CPA close to 70 and Ezell with almost 80 players...over which half are invisible...here's the good news....their will be lots of room on the bus ride with half those players not really existing...this will solve everything.....what about the Trousdale County years, the South Pittsburgh years....they didn't whine, they didn't cry about the cheating Private schools....tell you what ....if that makes the small public schools feel better....more power to you...that way the trophy will be that much more earned......if you can't beat them, vote them out.....don't people eventually get tired of running? guess not....tell me when the multiplier goes into effect and the same people keep winning ...what's next....no spread offense...only two receivers into the route and then on first down....we've all won and we've all lost.....everybody has up and down years....just don't fool yourself....play the game and stop crying!!!!

ELA, do you think that the Independence coach will come only from the County school system....have you heard of any outsiders that have a shot?

Has anyone heard who are the final candidates for the Independence High Job? What is the time frame for hiring the new coach? Who are the front runners?

I think the public -private debate is amazing! Especially 1A. The advantages are as follows. everyone who goes there must pass an entrance exam, after you pass the entrance exam you must pay upwards of 5 to 10,000 dollars to be admitted...a school such as Ezell-harding has 265 kids enrolled 9-12, almost 70% of those are girls...much smaller pool of guys to draw from...facilities....stands on one side, an extremely small and old field House...no scholarships...no finanicial aid...two full time assitants not counting the head coach.....and don't ever say they recruit...what a joke...offensive line averaged less than 200 pounds this year....four players on the team over 200 pounds...2 of those were quarterbacks...where does the offensive or defensive system figure into this....do kids get excited about running the ball 50 times a game...will your best skilled athletes get excited about having caught 10 balls a year...most offenses feature one kid at tailback...like Antioch...do the others get excited about watching him run...do go athletes get excited about handing the ball off 50 times.....i think not...don't hammer the privates...less than 10 years ago Trousdale county beat Ezell 76 points....was TC recruiting....I doubt it....where does hard work, coaching, motivation figure into the equation

Has anyone heard who has offically applied for the head coaching job? Who do you think they want, who would be the best fit for the talent they have available?

Does anyone know what the time table is for selecting the new head coach? Who are the real frontrunners for the job? Is their any talent on the football team?

Sycamore got most of its spread offense directly from Ezell-Harding's Offensive system.....the job will go to someone on the coaching staff....all interested parties were told not to apply

Randy Schlappi from Ezell-Harding had 2,490 yards in 13 games...28 Touchdowns

From what I have heard from the grapevine the new coach will be there by January or second semester.....what returning players will the new head coach have to work with, how many starters, I know the middle school team had a great year but what weapons are coming back next year?

Wow, someone has a personal problem with Coach Smith..to answer your question about the I offense against CPA,DCA or FRA would not have worked, in fact if you look at the few times they lined up in the I their offense actually lost yardage....Ezell has always been about hiding personel shortcoming...CPA's defense would have killed them....what's that old saying....you don't pull on superman's cape....and you certainly don't ###### into the wind....also I checked with Smith and their AD was at the Loretto game......sorry....now, while we're at it why don't we deal with the next round of rumors and hate mail....by the way you really got coach smith with the formation trick...by the way old wing t guy what is the difference between a TRey and a trips formation......oh, I'm sorry, that's probably one two many formations for you

Yet another good post briantodd, it amazes me how much criticism Smith takes when if you look at his post he never downs people, just tells the truth, what is your beef with Smith, did you play on one of those teams that only has one pass play and only throws on third down....just what is wrong with a coach wanting to go up several levels of competition and see if his system will work...don't be a hater briantodd, its thanksgiving and we should all have hope......I have hope for you and also have hope that whoever gets the Warren County job should be proud to be a Pioneer! Tell me though, what if Smith went to a public school and won...could he be blamed for recruiting, giving scholarships...maybe for being the anti-christ himself...tell you what though, someday, somewhere someone is going to be desperate enough to give him a public school job...he will find a way to win...remember this post little one, have your excuses and reasons ready for how he is doing it....don't be a hater my little ignorant friend...embrace the way of the spread offense...throw off the shackles of the wing t!

Aw, Finally, A true voice of reason...people meet Mr.BrianTodd....knower of all things and a specialist on Coach Smith.....can't say much about who I am except that blood is thicker than water, but for all the things you said about Coach Smith you are truly ignorant.....Scott just loves to coach football, he never professed to be a great coach...especially not in the same region with coaches like Pack,Goodwin, Weicker.....he dosen't blow his horn...he just likes to coach football!

Have heard that their will be no interviews until after Thanksgiving...nothing personal except they really want someone from inside.....he told me he thinks they can win there and could really be a great job if people embrace whoever they hire and give them time and believe in long and short term results

I know for a fact that Smith has applied....wants no commitment except to be able to coach football the way he knows...no demands, just wants to coach football in a place where football has been very important in the past....if kids want to win and will work hard ...that is all he asks
