  1. You are right he does, this person was a volunteer assistant at one time who was not asked to return. But I won't go into attacking people personally on here, I am above that.
  2. I agree wiith the underlined portion of your statement. When things aren't going your way it's really easy to point out the negative and completely forget about all the good things that have happened to this program and these kids. Things have been a lot worse and have improved over the years. Dedication and success is a commitment that has to be made by everyone associated with a program, school(system) and community. I would have to say some of that has been lacking. In addition, for those of us that want to say SH is laden with talent..... Yes there are some athletic young men, there are also rules and boundaries that everyone must comply with, sometimes that is hard. And fortunately/unfortunately, the last time I checked it takes more than 2 or 3 talented players to make up a complete team. Based on my experience it's the little things that get the big things accomplished.
  3. What do you mean getting the numbers up for football, they had 80 kids on the roster? They had to order additional equipment to dress the kids they had.
  4. No hurt feelings here. I get tired of people (in general) thinking they know something about a program that they are not directly involved in. I guess I am the type of person who makes comments based on what I know not what I think. But afterall this is an opinion board. Enough about this. Good luck to Coach McKnight, and to the Raider Football team. They are a great group of young men who deserve to be successful.
  5. I hope you don't get paid to think. While we are surprised and sad with Coach McKnight's resignation, we do wish him the best of luck and appreciate all that he has done for Spring Hill High School and Raider Football. Thank you Coach!
  6. I don't disagree with the stats, I am looking at it from a player perspective. My point being it's the "little things" (i.e, comments, it's all in how you say it) that have a big impact on attitude, perseverance, believing, and WINNING! I prefer to look at things using the glass half full perspective. I think that when all the fans, parents, student body, and players come together, GOOD THINGS will happen. Good Luck Raiders, START BIG, FINISH STRONG!
  7. Why do I think you are a Raider Fan/Parent or player? But based on the comment (and prior comments) I hope you are none. The above statement says a lot by saying very little. Negative attitudes/comments breed negativity. Raiders, I BELIEVE IN YOU. Do your best and give it your all!!
  8. Saying they should have went for it is an easy thing to say, since they didn't convert on the field goal. I find it even more funny that you knowing nothing about the game plan can say that the coaches weren't ready for the game.
  9. This game is 2 weeks away. One game at a time!
  10. Evidently you are not familiar with CK or TM (I don't know BF), because if you were you would know that neither are laid back individuals. Not only that, but one can assume that one of those having a military background EXPECTS and DEMANDS respect, and I can assure you is not afraid to discipline. It might do these young men some good to be exposed to the people who were a part of such a Rich Tradition that existed during their years at MCHS. In addition, if you spend any amount of time around any coach, very rarely do you hear, "well when I played, this is how we did it", give me a break, they have to be able to adjust to the times and personalities/types of kids they are dealing with. And things are much different when coaches played the game, if they didn't realize that, they probably wouldn't be coaching. One thing is certain, the program needs some revitalization.
