Does anyone know if Merideth is not at Belmont?If so where did she go?

McElhiney for Gleason won Miss BBall in single A that year and proved why.

Katlyn Dudley at Gibson County is as good as they get in AA West Tenn. Bianca Thomas (Chester County) and Latoya Bellamy(Westview) are players with a lot of ability also.

I'm sure in single A Clarkrange and Clay County will be tough. In West Tn. Trenton, USJ, Gleason, Dresden, South Fulton, all have a good chance at advancing to State. Dresden,Gleason, and South Fulton are all in the same District.USJ has an easy time getting to substate.Gleason beat Chester County, Columbia Central(AAA State Tourny), and Dyer County last year. Dresdens Bailey is healthy and they will be good.

I was a braves fan when the braves were 25 out every year. I live in west Tn. and take a lot of Cardinal abuse. Thats o.k. cause I am an Atlanta fan all the way. Cards have a great offensive team this year.

I think Glsn5 is not from Gleason but is tring to fire up other teams ,but anyway this Gleason fan thinks that Huntington has a very solid team and deserves to be in the state tournament. Good Luck.

He's been the coach less than a year.This is not fair plus he got hit with double duty unexspectedly. He's smart and I wouldn't run him off just yet.

South Fulton will give Gleason all they want.

Just for the record Kara Sanders was recruited by Alabama,Ole Miss,Kentucky,N.C. State and many other D-1 schools. She decided to go stay at home and play for Freed Hardeman University where she started for 4 years and got to play 40 minutes a game .They went to the NAIA Nationals all 4 years.They had never been before.They finished in the final four one year.In AAU when the game was close they would isolate Her and let her go one on one.Didn't see anyone stop her.She was decent I guess.Maybe not the best ever at her high school (Mcelhiney).But top 50 ever in state Probably.Most atheletic girl from Gleason?Probably.

Some nights Sanders scored 17 points in the 1st quarter. Her coach was not indignent and run the score up.To average whatever she averaged and play very little in unmeaningful games is a testiment to her, and her coach ,and the program at Gleason High.When the marbles were on the line pencil her in to do whatever was needed.Her defense was brilliant.Defense is so overlooked by so many people.One night her teammate had a wreck the night prior to the game so Kara tried to carry the team with 31 points with one heck of an effort.Unselfish team ball.The key to success.Kara was a team player.The only players in 12 years of state tournament in Karas league are Brooke Armistead, and Ashley Mac(awesome)and Michelle Street. Before everyone from 7AA starts bashing me I'm talking about single A.

Little old Gleason(Barely on the map)with about 85 girls in high school has had close to 20 college players play in the last 15 years.Several D-1 players most notably McElhiney(Vandy).My point is if you can play they will find you.

Gibson County is the best team in West Tennessee. The next best teams are Westview, and about 5 single A teams Trenton, Huntington, Gleason, Dresden, and Lake County.

85 warrior has the best pole except Shelbyville will be there when it matters.The big schools think single A does not fit into the top 10 but very few double and triple A teams can beat trenton.West Tenn. is stronger than you think.Oliver Springs is average. Obion Central beat them.

I wasn't running down Ms lanning at all . I just wanted to know if she could do anything but score because I know lots of scorers that do not have a complete game.I Have never seen her play so I pass no judgement on her at all.I would imagine she can do it all but wanted to here because most people judge a good b-ball player on points alone.I figure scoriig is about 30% of ones game.

Allisha Austin at Dresden may be the sleeper college catch in West Tenn.Maybe not .Time will tell.The times I have seen her I know Dresden will miss her next year.

The only thing you people talk about is how many points someone scores. Some coaches run up the score or leave scorers in in blowouts. You may average 12 for one team and 22 if you played elsewhere.What about assist, rebounds ,, and in my opinion the most important, defense.Good teams and good players play exellent D.

Now think about the total game;offense is only one phase of many many parts of b-ball. turnovers,defense ,rebounds,assists,steals, chemistry with rest of team,ball sense,etc,.Can these girls do it all?
