Ward is a very talented individual. If she plays within the system and does'nt self destruct UC will be better than last year.

14a and 7a should both be very proud of thier heritage and history.Great Bball in both parts of the state.

I know in the last ten years we beat Germantown the year they were in the state tourny, Dyerburg,Houston, and Franklin. In the 90's we beat everybody we played nearly except for Bradford. Bradford Gleason in the 90's was priceless.

I don't know about UC but the rest looks good. I just don't know what UC has. They have players come and go a lot. You never know from year to year! I like Gleason with a lot of good Sophmores and Juniors .They should be good for 2 years .

7-A only has 3 or 4 decent teams in it, 14-A has 6 or 7 decent teams in it.The district with Collinwood is the other district with decent teams.Your state champs are somewhere in one of these three disticts. Mark it down. I don't think Jackson County is a frontrunner but definately in the top tier of contenders.Lake county is the most talented team in the state.They have athletes like noone else in A ball.If they learn to play together watch out.Bradford is on the verge of being very ,very good. Proudfit(Bradford) and Kinney(lake County) are really good players.Gleason will be solid again.

I have an idea! You get 2 points taken away if the defense gives up a basket in the first 30 seconds of a possession.Fair is fair.Then you have to play defense too!

Glesron's district has 10 teams. The number 7 beat the number 2 in the district tourney . Gleason only beat the number 8 by 14 in district tourney. Last year and every year it's the same. The big difference is our area is we have to play in the sectional game if they survive the district. 7A gets a walk over in sectional.Play Gleasons district year in and year out and the good 7A teams are in the middle of the pack.Does'nt look like you are accustomed to seeing tight athletic man to man pressure.Jackson county plays good man defense but no pressure.We see tight pressure D almost every night. Never been so open for shots in the season until we got out of our area.

While we are changing rules lets do away with the 23 zone, no pressing, and certainly no dribbling. How many college coaches have ever recruited a kid and wanted to know if they can play a stand and rest 23 zone. You want them to play on offense , lets make them defend also.

We had 3 officials the other night. 2 of them were counting 5 seconds when the defender was within 6 feet of the player with the ball. The other offical was counting when the defense was relaxed 8 to 10 feet from the ball. Is that not rewarding the defense for not playing defense? This official has been calling for a long time. Can the head of officials not watch game tapes and make reccommendations or is there a problem there also.

I do not see how anyone could pick Gleason after they lost 4 of their top seven to graduation. Better look out for Greenfield , Trenton , and Union City.Dresden will be better also. I think Trenton will be a big surprise if Perry is healthy and they find a point guard.

Kayla did not sign to early. She signed with the team and Coach she wanted to play for. Her criteria for a College: 1) Winning tradition 2)Like the Coach 3) Close to home. Union scoed a perfect 100
