Hey Everyone! I'm not here to say that SF is the best team in the state or will win tomorrow or anything. I just wanted to say that I graduated from SF last year, and have seen what it was like for the boys when they continually walk of the field in defeat. It weakened their spirits so much. I was incredibly school spirited and played sports myself, so I really felt for them. Even though I don't attend sf anymore, I am so incredibly proud of them! They may not be picked to win tomorrow. And they may not win tomorrow. But I don't think that anyone has the right to bash them for not being as tough as you say UC is. These guys have worked so hard for everything they've gotten, and whether they can all go play football in college or not, they are hard workers and deserve this success. So please, as a friend of players that has watched them feel completely defeated for years, don't cut down their success to make UC look better. Be proud of your fellow county team for finally picking themselves up off the ground and winning some games.

I agree with you.. OC has always had tendencies to flagrantly throw elbows and such to the face. I don't know if they are taught that or it just runs down from players to players every year because it's not stopped. I think i could repsect such a talented team more if they we're so dirty. They have great players that work hard and well together. I just think they should play like the game should be played. Congratulations to Milan on a big district win! That district sounds like it has a lot of action between some great teams! Hope to have some west tn teams winning big this year in state!

I was surprised to hear that they beat Westview. Congrats on that! Hope we can give you a good game tonight in the Devil's Den! We played some good games over Christmas, but last night was not our proudest moment! See you in SF tonight!

I was very surprised at South Fulton as well. They may not be the strongest team in the district, but last night was terrible. They are a much better team than they showed, but Gleason did a good job on defense shutting their scorers down and deserved the win. Hopefully we'll give a better game next time!!

I heard on Coach's Corner that Dresden sent 2 girls to the hospital last night from the Humboldt game. What happened? Are they ok?

That's true about any team winning any given night. Trenton has a good team and seem to be well coached. Who do they play Friday?

So how is their post play? I know that they have all their posts returning, but I wasn't sure how they were looking this year. We play them friday so I hadn't seen them yet.

Anyone have thoughts on last nights games? I know Sf beat greenfield. South Fulton started out slow and got behind but picked it up the rest of the game. Cox had 26 and Eaves had 16 to lead the scoring.

I noticed something was said about Roney going out.. What happened??

Wow.. huge win for LC.. It seems as though LC has really learned how to play come tournament time.. Last year was the same way..Congratulations.. Gotta be a great feeling to beat an undefeated team in tournaments.. Wish we coulda been the ones! But LC has really improved and shown that they won't lay down.. I agree with that.. We can't change it, and SF never should've let that happen in the first place.. But when a team fights to make up for those mistakes and battles their way back into the game, it's tough to see the referee decide on a call like that..

Just because the ref called it that way does not mean it was a good call.. We tape our games. I'm sure UC does too.. Watch the tape.. You have got to be the 1st person that I have heard that agrees with that referee.. The ball was going through the rim and even the UC coach and administrators agreed with that..

South Fulton played Union City last night in a tight game.. SF came out to a strong lead hitting 3 pointers and playing defense, but let it slip and were down 4 at the half. The girls never should have let UC come back from that large a lead, but they fought back in the end and were down 6 with 50 seconds left.. Beadles hit a three and SF pressed and fouled.. UC didn't hit the 1 and 1, and SF got the rebound with Eaves getting fouled on her 3 with 3 seconds left. She missed her 1st free throw and hit the 2nd, missing the 3rd on purpose, Cox got the rebound and put it up, getting fouled and missing with no call. Ledbetter then got the rebound and hit the shot as the buzzer went off the tie the game. The ball was literally going through the rim when the buzzer sounded. But the referee called no shot and ended the game. EVERYONE, coaches from both teams, administrators from UC as well as UC fans, and another official said that the call was wrong.. This moved SF to 5th and playing away 1st round.. Tough way to lose that important of a ball game..

Congratulations to Dresden.. Sounds like free throws were the deciding factor.. If I was greenfield's coach they'd shoot them for about an hour or so today.. You hate to see games go down on FREE shots.. That game shows how tight District 14A is. Not many teams have lost/won 2 games to the same team this year.. Tournament time will all come down to who wants it the most, and I would'nt count any team out just yet.. Friday night will be big games for these teams.. With LC and SF matching up and UC and Greenfield. If SF wins out, they will be in a tie with UC for 3rd, but be above UC from winning. If Greenfield loses both 2 games (which I wouldn't expect, but just saying) and SF wins out, there will be a 3 way tie for 2nd with Greenfield, SF, and UC.. Things could get interesting!!
