Danielle Sampley won gold at the AAU Junior Olympics in Michigan. She finished first in the 100m dash and the 200m dash. The 4x100m relay team finished 2nd and the 4x400m relay finished 3rd. You can find all of the results for track and field at KTC.org. The 4x100m includes Krystal Kessler, Jenae Anderson, Bianca Blair and Danielle Sampley. The 4x400m relay includes Jacquelyn Coward, Jenae Anderson, Bianca Blair and Danielle Sampley.

There is no question that Brad Walker is the fastest in Blount County. He didn't run track this summer except one meet so he has had alot of time for football. As for Ronald, he is not to far off of Brad. They should make a great team. I think that William Blount will do well this year.

By advanced p.e., does that mean basketball for freshman? My daughter is on the freshman team and they are supposed to practice 4th block. As far as the new high school goes, the county owns the land by Carpenters and it is for the high school. The plan was to have the high school open by 2006 but that is not going to happen. I don't know what they will do about William Blount but they need to do something soon.

My oldest daughter is going to be a freshman at William Blount this year and they are not only over populated but now are understaffed. There needs to be a new highschool but thats not going to happen and now we loose teachers! Hard to believe isn't it?

It is so hard to understand because there are lots of great students and great athlets in blount. It is a shame that they always seen to get pushed aside by people who are supposed to be there to help them along. Will they take away sports for the county schools next? :justwrestle:
