  1. At the beginning of the season LCPANTHERFAN discussed with great pride the Lenoir City "winning streak" against Loudon which consisted of two consecutive wins - 2002 and 2001 (The 1992 - 2002 record was 6-6 with the extra game being a 1998 playoff game which Loudon lost). Well, The Battle of the Bridge just ended; and Loudon put it to Lenoir City to the tune of 35 to 10. LCPANTHERFAN, if you're out there, would you care to comment on the Lenoir City winning streak now?
  2. smally02: Thanks for the input. We now have some clarification on this matter. Your comments on this issue make more sense than "Loudon stole him from us through recruiting." Though I don' t doubt recruiting does occur here and there, I would submit that it is infrequent and isolated. To suggest that a school has participated in it simply because a kid transfers to another school is ridiculous. It is amazing what people can cook up in their minds and actually believe. This is how rumours are born. Thanks again for the insight!
  3. Actually no. His name doesn't ring a bell. Now, do you actually have some proof that this player was recruited by Loudon? Is this the only name you can come up with? If so, do you intend to contact the TSSAA and report this violation? If not, what is your reasoning for making such a statement? Is it that because he played for LC last year and is playing for Loudon this year, there must have been an active role by the coaching staff at Loudon to get him to switch schools? That's a big stretch. How good of a player was this kid last year anyway? He must have been awesome to motivate Coach Harig to risk sanctions. Please keep us posted on how the TSSAA responds when you contact them with this information.
  4. In a previous reply, LCPANTHERFAN mentions the Lenoir City winning streak. You guys have won the last two meetings between Loudon and Lenoir City. That's not much of a winning streak. I went back and checked the records. From 1992 to 2002 the record is 6-6 (the extra game was a 1998 playoff game). What a winning streak! As far as Loudon recruiting, do you have some names .....? :justwrestle:
  5. Thanks for all the positive feedback about the site. As far as the archives section goes, I intend to add to it next year. I'm going to add a "Redskins Roster" which will be a database of all Redskins players from 1923 to present. It will include names, jersey numbers, years played, and positions if possible. I also intend to start researching various newspapers and copy articles written about the Loudon Redskins over the years. See ya. Rex Mingie, loudonfootball.com webmaster
