Oliver Springs came out on top 54-51. It was a great game. Came down to the very last seconds.

We (OS) don't play anybody? We have a very hard schedule. We are in one of the toughest districts in Tennessee even with Alcoa down right now. We play 3A teams like Kingston and Smith County, which are both among the top in the state as far as 3A goes. We play Boyd-Buchannan who usually does well. We have a difficult schedule. I can't speak for Kingston, but I know OS plays some tough opponents.

Anthony Chiulli and Dusty Miller are the two best XC runners in the state. Anthony ran a 15:35 in Shelby Country early this month. I personally saw Dusty Miller run a 14:41 at Cherokee. I would love to see these guys face off (hopefully at the TN Classic). Bumbalough will be good, but he isn't on the level of these other two guys just yet.

I don't know if the score will be as high as everyone is predicting. The fans are crazy down here in O.S., and that will help us out. O.S. - 17 S.C. - 13

I am thinking it may be a battle for second between O.S. and Rockwood this year. Harriman, Alcoa, and Wartburg are all down right now. Sweetwater is unbelievably good. I am not saying O.S./Rockwood can't take them here in a few weeks, but it would be really hard. Week four down here in O.S. may be the game for second. I think that game is pretty even. If Rockwood can't come with a lot of fan support I think that might give O.S. that little bit they need to win the game.

I can see how some of you would think of the flag being racist. It is a fine line to walk, but I think its okay. Someone in this thread stated that if teams like Austin-East, ect. start bringing Black Powers Fist on flags it would cause controversy. Well, yes it would, but thats not the same thing. They are not the Austin-East Black Power. Maryville are the Rebels. There is a flag known as the rebel flag. How you people can see such badness in this is beyond me. I am not a minority, so you people can call me racist if you wish, but I am not. I am not fond of people hanging the flag off their trucks and things like that, but they should be able to. This is America. We have rights. Unfortunately some people are trying to ruin that. It is true that one person's right can not impose on another person's rights, but you have to let go of some stuff. That is just my opinion. Take it for what its worth.

I think Oliver Springs will have a pretty good team this year. Our five leaders are mainly upperclassmen. If one of the new boys really steps up we could contend in our region this year. We have been finishing in the middle at the regions the past couple years.

Thats crap I am sorry. No sophmore can throw mid 90's. Maybe your speedometer was broke. If he can throw that fast now then he needs to be going to a much better school. Also I would have heard a lot more hype about him.
