  1. Final Score: Columbia Academy 1 CCS 0 A CA forword beat 3 defenders and the keep for a goal midway through the first half. CCS tried to answer with some great offensive play, but in the end couldn't make it happen. Great game by both teams. Good luck to CA as they advance to the state once again!
  2. it seems as though a cold front is coming through TN this evening. it looks now that it may be here in time for the games tonight. it may be rainy and a major dip in temps. how will this effect the games? we have had such great weather so far in the districts and regions. just wondering if the shift will play in anyones favor. i am pretty sure it will hit middle and west TN by game time, the east may scoot by.
  3. ice you have got to get it through your head that these girls on CA are sent there by there parents. they choose to have their daughters educated at a christian school. which would not be possible at a government school as it should not be. to say they pay to play soccer is a joke, now if you had a girl that was really into soccer and you wanted her to have the opportunity to play in a good program you may send her to a school that could provide that. just as if Richland had a great program you might move near there so you could play on that team. nothing wrong with either of those, but high school is about alot of things other than soccer. you would not want your girl on a great soccer team, but yet the school could not provide her with a good education. also CA does not win district and region every year, they just have the last two years. they have never even been to state to my knowledge (oh please let us change that tonight). Page is a public school and have won district and region before. they have been tough as heck to beat in boys and girls. they won boys region last year. enough of my rant, just don't see why you seem to dislike CA so much. good luck in chatty tonight and i am glad to see Richland come on. we need more good teams in this region. even if that means CA does not have an easy road.
  4. could someone let me know who won this game. thanks!
  5. CA 4 Richland 3 tough game, much props to Richland for putting up a great fight. by far their best team ever, and it is nice to see their program blossom. best of luck to you in chattanooga, you are going to need all the luck you can get to pull that one out.
  6. there is no reason to make this into a public vs private thing. there are people on each team and money does not make you a good soccer player. so just chill and we shall see what happens tonight. it's just a soccer game between two teams, although i would love to see a CA victory tonight. envy is what often causes hate, hence why islam would like to blow us all to he!!.
  7. much props to Richland. still an upset in that Richland has never been to a region final before. would not say i was shocked but surprised. in the other game Columbia Academy 3 and Giles County 2. nice game all around, great crowd energy! must have been 300 to 400 hundred there. Giles County fans were a bunch of jerk-offs as usual. but you get used to that after a while, still nice to see them on there way home. the team itself was much improved though and played a good hard game. Columbia Academy at Richland Thursday for the Region Finals.
  8. yep columbia academy 3 and page 1. looks as though we might have another region final on our hands here. it is hard enough to beat anyone once, but to have to do it twice is even tougher. page shall play richland on tuesday night (richland is undefeated this year so far). although if they beat page it would be somewhat of an upset. this game is at Richland. Columbia Academy plays Giles County on tuesday night at CA.
  9. tuesday night district semifinals results: 1st game Columbia Academy 7 Fairview 0 2nd game Page 11 Zion Presbyterian 0 so two blowouts, as expected. page and CA have played in every district and region final (boys and girls) for the last two and a half years. so the rivalry shall resume come thursday night, should be a good one. district final on thursday at CA.
  10. fairview 8 lorreto 1 so tomorrow at 4:30 Columbia Academy vs Fairview and tomorrow at 7:00 Page vs Zion Presbyterian Academy both games are at Col Adademy
  11. just thought i would start this for those that are intrested. i know about district 8 but don't know much of the other half of the region, so if anyone would like to update those scores for me that would be great. i do know that richmond high school is 17-0 (they don't play good comp. though) and that giles county is normally decent out of that district. as for district 8 page and columbia academy are the only game in town more or less. this has become a really good rivalry over the last couple of years and it should be a showdown between these two for the region title this year. the district 8 tour. starts tonight. one team (wayne county) forfieted and that gives Zion presbyterian a free pass to play Page tomorrow. in the other game Lorreto will play fairview tonight at 7. the winner shall play Col. academy tomorrow. will update as things move along. hope this is helpful to some.
  12. what is the prob here? if i was still that age and wanted to play soccer at a top level and it was within my means, and i was asked to come play at a school with a great soccer progam i would love to go. what is the big deal, it happens all the time. as long as you are not paying players or give out free rides i see no problem at all. if a school says that they are doing the best they can at being a good program and they want good talent to help them, i would see that as a good thing. every school public or private should do that. man this country is a about being the best you can be. just look at the way it is now: we have 3 state champs in girls and boys soccer. so we have no true state champ. who is really the best? that is the nature of competion to work to be the best. to illustrate in my town we have about 5 teams all split up in to 2 different divs. a/aa and aaa. it would make for a much better and competitive enviroment if we were all competing for the same thing. we are all at roughly the same skill level. so great rivalies that could be right in the same town never get to play out, except in good non district games. i kind of rambled there but it seems so much division in sports is not good in general. just would be nice to see a true state champ
  13. i would really like to see this game, could anyone give me any info on it? i read on here and tssaa site that it is at fra and on soccerinfo it said it was at dca. would someone please clear this up for me, also i will be coming up from columbia so if you could provide directions that would be great. thanks alot.
