im gunna have to go out on a limb here and say that last year was a fluke considering the fact that brentwood was up 13-0 in the first quarter till sinclair went down which totally took the wind out of brentwood. Im gunna have to go with brentwood 27 smyrna 13

get serious....nobody in high schoool is going to b able to handle mccurdy, the kids a stud on and off the field. to fast, to furious for anyone to touch, mccurdy for mr. football no doubt. Yes the loss of the senior class last year hurt, but oviously not much. Sure dinger was incredible and welch was a machine, but Coach crawford always knows how to get his team up for the next year and has been a hero at brentwood ever since he took over. The defense is better now with out the distractions it had last year, knock on wood they can stay healthy and nobody will b able to touch them. State champs no doubt. chalk it up, cant mess with up, bring on any team u name it.... im guessin if every1 stays healthy that brentwood could probably take on vanderbilt this year and kill them. They are just to good for any one to even come close to...just walkin away from fools. llleeetttttsssssss ggggggoooooooo! p.s. mccurdy is soooo sexy i love u bruce!!!!

what a game, its to bad that there had to be a loser but imsure glad that it was franklin! it was a back and forth battle all night long with big plays by both teams, just gos to show you why region 6-5a is the best there is. O and for fhsreb12, its funny the two people you talked the most about sucking were the two that had big parts in the downfall of your undefeated season(Welch who blocked the kick, and heimerdinger who once again ran all over your secondary)and he may be slow, but he can definently play. Once again, brentwoods prayers go out to the downed franklin player, im sure this will not be the last time that these two teams meet this season and i cant wait for another incredible game. By the way, what a last quarter by the bruins safety brad lifsey, with an amazing catch to set up the go ahead score and the bone crunching hit on the last drive. Great win for brentwood as a team go get um bruins.

fhsreb12 once again youve proven how ignorant most of the people are down in franklin, but thats ok since brentwood will gladly put u in your place next week. But thats for a message board next week, this is ravenwood. and plus, franklin will have their hands plenty full with centennial this week. O ya, have fun tryin to stop heimerdinger who always seems to run through your defense every time he goes against them and as slow as he is, someone should be able to stop him right? also, i doubt u have anyone that can cover Welch who is prob a better athlete than anyone you have on your defense. Anyways back to what this post was supposed to be about, im picking brentwood but i will be the first to say that it will be a close, hard fought game till the very end. Thats the beautiful thing about brentwoods offense, is that they dont just have 1 standout player. There running backs are a great tandom, along with their wrs, and with McCurdy in the backfield calling the shots, the offense is a dangerous threat. I think brentwood will win in a close one. Crawford will have his defense ready as always and will shut down the two studs from Smyrna.

brentwood will win this one, but i think it will be close till the 4th. I think Fugate runs well against them and dinger comes through with another big game. Bell and Nichols will have their 1 or 2 big plays like always, but i think coach crawford will have brentwood's d straightened out and they will be able to shut down franklins o. my prediction bwood 30- franklin 21

no brentwood did not play the game of their lives, they play like that all the time, the only reason they got beat by franklin is bad coaching in the second half, they killed franklin when they went to the pass, its to bad they got conservative or franklin could have been in for a horrible night. Don't worry though im sure brentwood will get another shot at franklin in the playoffs, and whats better than beating them agian on the way to another state title.

hey good call rebel, u were right as always there was no way that brentwood could play with d.c. and for that matter beat them, o wait they did, in fact they man handled them. and for who ever says van horne is overrated, u are out of your mind becuz he is by far the best player in the state. *The statement I've edited (and it's not because you're a Brentwood fan) was not very tasteful...

atleast somebody is smart enough to tell that brentwood should have won the game, but they didn't. Its true that the coaching did slow them down in the later quarters and would enevitably cause for the loss. I agree that if dc beats brentwood that they will win the region, however i still think that franklin will be able to pass, nichols and bell are great kids with great skills and the weather only has so much of an effect on a game. I still think brentwood will come out on top in this one though, the bruins d doesn't get enough credit for how good they really are, and i also agree that brentwood will have to throw to their two wrs, "dinger" and moore. Bottom line is this is going to be a great game. D.C. will i repeat will run all over franklin, i dont think franklin has enough talent or size to stop them and with d.c.'s running abilities, franklins offense may not see the field hardly at all. brentwood 17- d.c. 14 is still the pick for me.

ill call a spade a spade, bigdogdaddy, u have hit the nail on the head in some of your previous posts. Centennial was a fluke, they fumbled, brentwood got lucky. On the other hand Franklin, however well they did execute in the last couple minutes, had the ball tipped right into their hands, i dont think anyone can say that joe bell or any of the franklin people planned that. Its also true that if brentwood would have kept throwing the ball, franklin doesnt come close, granted franklin did a good job at stopping the run, ill give u that. "Dinger" ran threw the secondary of franklin as well as any wr in the state, he should have been used more and still should. Also, where is kellen moore? also a great wr, they make up a great pair. bottom line, it will be a great contest if they meet up again and i cant wait. For this week im picking brentwood in a close one coming down to the wire not many points will be scored by either team seeing that they both have great defenses.....brenwood 17 d.c. 14

even though they were close games, you have to admit, brentwood has always found a way to win since crawford came there. They have a talented bunch of kinds just like last year, you have to remember that last year they almost lost to centennial and had a horrible game against page, does that mean that they shouldn't have gone to and won the blue cross bowl? i think not. Smyrnas qb? give him mad props for playing with the broken bone, plus hes a stud back there and can pick a part any defense. I think Brentwood will come out on fire sick of the loss of respect for winning there last two games buy 1 or 2 points, look for an exciting finish again.

id have to say even though hes one of the cheapest and dirtiest players in tn, Dave Thomas from Riverdale has to be one of the best.
