  1. Listen fellas, Im not trying to down Richard in any way. He's a player that works hard and wants to be good. But as a former player of CAK and now a fan in the stands, I do not see how you can compare Richard to Mark. Ludacris. And Logan, yeah maybe Mark wasnt the vocal leader and some of us other seniors had to step up and take that role. But it is like you said, when Cunningham stepped in the huddle, we listened and belived in what he was saying and believed it was going to work. That is why WE went to the semi-finals, that is why WE gelled. Becaused we belived in each other and trusted in the fact that the guy next to me is going to get his job done. I didnt see that last year and to be frank, not seeing it this year. Not taking anything from the Warriors, they have great athletes and I want them to be successful. However, from what some players are telling me, the egoes are too big and someone needs to step up. In 03' there were no egoes. There were a select few smash mouth football players who shed blood, sweat, and tears on many fields to pave the way for CAK football. One of those hard nose players was Mark Cunningham. He wasnt affraid to take a sack or tuck the ball, lower his shoulder and make a play. When I see Richard play like that, then maybe we will talk. But I still stand by my oppinion. No comparison. Oh and by the way, if you are some CAK fan or dad getting in on this debate, you truly have no place in this one. Until you have played on that field with the players, then dont talk. Obviously, Logan is the exception.
  2. Oh man, we got this kid down here who's about 8 feet tall, 530 pounds, benches 800 pounds, squats two tons, and can clean a trailer. HaHa, sorry I just think some of you guys are full of crap.
  3. Exactly my point, Cunningham had three years of starting experience coming in as a senior. Richard comes in with only one year of starting experience. I dont understand why people want to compare him with Cunningham. I could care less if Harb can throw the ball 60 yards like a rocket. Thats not what makes a quarterback. You have to be savy, intelligent, tallented, and a leader. All of which Harb falls short when compared to Cunningham. I was the Warriors center thusly I had one-on-one experience with both. I would know. I am not trying to take away from Richard. He works hard and yes can get the job done, however he is a long shot from being a Cunningham.
  4. You must be out of your ever loving mind. Harb better than Cunningham? Have you ever been in a huddle with Cunningham and then in another with Harb. Well I have played with both. Harb is a good player who works hard, but to put him in the same catagory as Mark Cunningham is insane. O by the way CAK wipped Union County 34-6. And for all you Richard worshipers out there he was 18 of 38. Im not trying to "hate on" Harb, but come on guys; let's get realistic here. If you want to talk about a player, I would be talking about Mr. Bowland. Theres a player who deserves some recognition.
  5. It is not a question on if I can teach it the right way, in which I can and am certified to do, it is a question of lethargy and mindsets. When an athlete gets tired, bad form will start to kick in. They dont want their teamates to see them fail so they do everything possible to get that bar up. Another point is that for the most part, athletes are more concerned with how much weight they can do, not form. I understand where you are coming from in regards to foundation. Believe me, the first thing that I teach a novice lifter is foundation and good technique. I am a private trainer, I dont run team weight rooms and I agree totally with your statement on limited reps and proper supervision. However, alot of football weight coaches push their players to over train and lift too much weight. This is when injuries occur, esspecially with the power clean. I like the power clean and would advocate it if more athletes pocessed our mindsets on technique and smart training. For the majority, this is just not the case. Another reason that I advocate the hang clean more is that it teaches explosion out of a two point stance. Alot of line coaches are enouraging the two point stance, esspecially in pass pro. As most linemen know, explosion out of a two point stance can be difficult. I can go on and on but my point is that alot of athletes are getting hurt from power cleans because it is the easiest workout to lose technique and hurt yourself on. I like the hang clean more because it does not put so much pressure on the back.
  6. I have just recently become a strength trainer and in my studies, and personal experience, I have found the Hang Clean to be a safer and very efficient workout for football players. First of all, a hang clean does not require the constant bending and over extention of the back, which is where alot of athletes have injured themselves. The hang clean is just as efficient as a power clean. It works the same essential muscle groups: Hips, legs, and shoulders. The only difference is your starting position; an excelent demonstration can be found atClick here Yes when done correctly, the power clean is an excelent workout, but like one post mentioned, when lethargia kicks in proper form can become lousy, and that is when people start to bend and use their backs more than is nessessary. When lethargy kicks in with a hang clean, there is really nothing you can do except to drop the bar which is a whole lot better than injuring yourself.
  7. Probably the greatest point made about Harb in this whole post. Yes he can throw far and had alot of passing yards but the thing that stood out to me was his lack of intelligence under pressure. He played scared and sometimes stupid. No doubt the boy has talent, but being a great quarterback cant just rely on numbers. His psychology need to drastically mature.
  8. Im getting tired of this feminazi liberal point of view that men and women are equal in all aspects. Since we are on the subject, lets take athletics for example. It is a fact that men are superior athletes to women. If you had the strongest man in the world arm wrestle the strongest woman in the world, who would win? The male of coarse. This also aplys to speed, agility, etc. This is one of the reasons that sports are sexually segregated. Men and women, in general, are on different levels when it comes to athletics. If women want to start their own football league, then more power to them, but mixing sexes on the football field is unesessary. It goes against the ancient art of warrior vs. warrior. Men are not suppose to battle women. Now I am NOT saying that women are not equal to men in everything and I am NOT sexist, but in athletics, in particular, competitive sports should stay sexually segregated. I know I will have a couple feminazis (feminists) come on here and moan and complain and Im sure Ill get a call from Gloria Allred, but thats how society has become today. Its sad but true.
  9. Who in the world is Lake County?
  10. I totally agree with you King. Whenever I talk Region 2 with people, I have said since pre season that Midway is going to be a major threat in R2. They have a powerful running game and bulk up front. They will be hard to stop.
  11. I think you misunderstood my post. I didnt say every Greenback fan is mouth runner. I did say the word "alot" but I really meant SOME. Okay. I know, for the most part, you all are good people. I have friends and family that live in Greenback. I was just clearing up a misunderstanding about SOME fans and coaches running their mouths.
  12. Dont you have something better to do, like work on your Honda Civic or something.
  13. Whats the deal with Cloudland. Are they still in shock over the loss to CAK at Roan Mountain last year. Whats going on.
