  1. Nine hours and counting to kick-off. Let the BIG DAWG eat. Go Dawgs!
  2. Don't know much about Lexington, but Humboldt did beat them by 2 touchdowns. I believe the Dawgs will roll in this one. Let's eliminate the costly mistakes and put away a team when we have them on the ropes. If we do this, we should be home through the first rounds of the playoffs.
  3. Humboldt will come in with a big win over Lexington. The DAWGS will come in riding a 3-0 record and scoring 40 plus in each of the first three games. Always a good one between these two rivals.
  4. Milan takes on Humboldt this week. Good region matchup with Milan continuing to roll.

  13. Three days and counting!!! Go Dawgs
  14. As a fan of the Dawgs it is about support for the players and coaches. My son played on the 2003 team and there were times that they "called off the dogs" in some of their games. I can tell you as a parent that it meant alot to the guys for people to be there in spite of the quality of the opponent. As far as this thread, it is about sharing our thoughts on the upcoming game in a respectful manner, tempered with a little jousting. I am sure that Gibson Co. will play with all that they have to give. Hopefully, the outcome will be to our liking and Milan will dominate. Go Dawgs!
  15. Just getting us back to page 1. Looking forward to Friday night. Milan will be ready for whatever Gibson Co. has to bring. Speed, Strength, Depth, and an experienced Coaching Staff is a good formula for a win. I am sure that Gibson Co. will be ready as well. 4 days and counting.
  16. Don't know what the capacity of the stadium is, but, I would guess 3,500 - 4,000.
  17. Thanks GC Pioneer for reminding this is a Milan vs. GC thread. I hope you all are improved enough to give Milan a good game. As you said, Milan is loaded this year. Give Coach Morris and his staff a week to make adjustments and you will be amazed at what the defense and kicking game will look like next week against Gibson Co. This staff knows how to motivate and adjust. Here's hoping for a good game. But, my gut tells me that strength, depth, and speed will overwhelm the Pioneers. GO DAWGS!
  18. Milan travels to Gibson Co. for week 2 matchup for in-county rivals. I look for this one to be over at half time with the starters taking at least 1 1/2 quarters off. Milan in a big way. Milan - 63 Gibson Co. - 7, and the 7 comes against the third team.
  19. First half a real battle between two awesome teams. For the game over 800 yards of offense for both teams. In the second half Milan pulls away for the huge win. Holds Huntingdon to less that 80 yards of offense in the 2nd half. Number 21, Crocker, and 23, Holder for H'ton are the real deal. With the wing t they will give the rest of their schedule alot to deal with. Milan finally made the adjustments in the second half to hold them. If this game is any indication I look for both of these teams to return to the playoffs. Good luck the rest of the way Stangs. GO Dawgs!
  20. The Dawgs will be ready for Friday night. The Stangs will come in with the leadership of first year head coach, Swenson. Look for a great game from both teams this week. Better get there early for a good seat. Go Dawgs!
  21. I appreciate the link to the website. Who is responsible for the site? Go DAWGS!
  22. Milan vs. Huntingdon is ALWAYS a huge game. Both teams have a storied tradition with so many big games. Huntingdon is young this year, but, don't count them out. The return of Coach Swenson will have these 'Stangs fired up. Milan returns alot of depth and should be very good. If the jamboree is any indication, they will be. The Dawgs must stay focused on each week's game and the playoffs will take care of itself. I look for Milan to have a huge game against Huntingdon. Packed house with these two teams in town. Throw in the fact that Milan is honoring the memory of Bob Parkins. long time newspaper editor and Bulldog supporter, with the naming of "BOB PARKINS FIELD." Get there early for this one. Pre-game ceremonies start at 7:15 p.m. Bulldogs by 17.
  23. Don't forget Avery Williamson who will be a jr. this year starting at Middle Linebacker. He just got back from the Football camp at Ole Miss and was given the award for the Most Outstanding Linebacker. Seems like another kid from West TN went on to Ole Miss and is now playing in the NFL, Patrick Willis. Avery is a great kid, as well as a great student. There are several more rising juniors who will contribute heavily to the "Dawgs" this year. Looking for a great year and a possible run through the playoffs. "Takin' them one game at a time." GO DAWGS!
  24. Looking for a great rematch of Week #1 at Johnnie Hale Stadium. As has already been stated or implied, Milan is a much different team from the first match, as well as Huntingdon. When is comes to Milan vs. Huntingdon there is so much history and respect for each program. Being a Bulldog fan I have to go with the Purple. I believe that they are peaking as just the right time. Add in an excellent coaching staff, Historic Johnnie Hale Stadium, Purple clad fans, and "Move those chains", Milan wins this one in a classic. Milan 30 - Huntingdon 17. GO DAWGS!
